   Don’t go on a holiday weekend. Kitchen totally overwhelmed, took forever. Apps great, main dishes meh.

   Our server was nice but threw our plates down. The new tables are very slippery. My sons burger plate slipped and we luckily caught. My other sons frozen virgin mudslide was thrown on table and slid off and completely soaked him. He totally played it cool but was frozen when it went on him. . Our server was annoyed when we asked for a new one

   Redesign is wonderful. Grossly inadequate parking. Service was good, but the acoustics inside make it almost impossible to have a conversation with family or guests.

   If reviewing the food and service only I’d easily give 5 stars. The menu was creative and the food was outstanding-quality ingredients, fantastic flavor, ample portions and beautifully presented. The service was attentive but not rushed at all. This is a gem of a restaurant … but for the noise situation. We were seated at the end farthest from the bar and when the band was playing it was impossible to hear across the table and our waitress had to ask us to repeat ourselves several times so she could hear us. I wonder if the bar music could take a break for prime dinner hours-maybe 7-9? When the music ended around 8:15 the overall experience came closer to perfection.

   If you're over 30 skip this place. So loud that the waitress couldn't hear my order. My wife and I both ordered scampi and I ordered chowder with it. When the waitress came I got the chowder only, no dinner! The live band was on the other side of the building and we had to yell at each other like we were at a concert. My wife asked if they had Salt and Pepper to which one of the service staff answered, "Yes, we do". That was it. He never brought it to the table. Our water glasses sat empty and were never refilled. No one came to ask how things were or if we needed anything else (like maybe my dinner). $45 and 15 minutes later we ran for the door. If you're looking for a lively bar and live concert - this is your place. If you're looking to go to dinner, go ANYWHERE else.

   Chapins has always been our go to. We had a res. For 6 people and was accommodated for a special birthday. We were so disappointed sadly. We could not hear anything due to the music being so loud. The acoustics will need to be worked on. I felt so badly for my elderly parents that they spent all that $$ and couldn’t enjoy it at all. Singer was great, and so fun for a bar area, but not for dining.

   Was excited to try Chapins under new owners. While the new decor looked nice, the environment was extremely loud with the live music in the bar making it impossible to talk in the dining room. The food was ok, our friend raved about his shrimp scampi but my shrimp tacos weren’t great, nor was the sausage rigatoni. Hopefully they will work out the kinks.

    Loved the atmosphere! Good lighting for photos! Service excellent! Very experienced, well trained staff! Food was amazing! The swordfish with Mexican street corn was perfectly prepared! Live music in the bar was a bonus! Will return!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Chapins. Everything was great except the noise level was very loud. It was hard to talk to each other at times because of this but that would be the only complaint I would have.

    They charged more for the brunch ($10/person) than the price quoted on their website!

It was advertised for the holiday on the website and social media including all servers went over it with each table at the initial drink order. We are sorry you felt that was not transparent enough we will work on ways to make it more apparent next time.     My family & I enjoyed the brunch for Mothers Day. Food was delicious and spicy bloody mary was good! Hannah as our waitress and she was great. Loved the renovations!

    We went for the Mother's Day brunch buffet. It was a splurge for us but our entire family was very impressed with the food and updated interior. Everything was delicious and there was an interesting range of food, from omelettes to chicken and waffles to sushi and oysters. We weren't rushed, the staff was really friendly, wonderful special occasion meal without the stuffy experience.

    Music from the bar area made it difficult to have conversation at our table. Food was good but waitress was annoying , coming to the table to frequently to see if we were ready to order, were we done with our meals, when clearly we still had food on plates and forks/knives were not laid to rest.

    Birthday dinner for my husband, the dining area was super loud, our meals were just ok and my son got sick on the fried seafood platter - we prefer the bar area for drinks and app instead will likely skip dinner in future

    Service was good, and the new decor is nice. However we were super disappointed by the boneless buffalo wings, $17 for 5 small wings. This used to be a staple, but beware RIP to the boneless wings of the old bayside. My mom and sister ordered a salad which had almost no taste to it, the need to improve their dressing. Food was average to below. We will be back for drinks but thats it.

    Your noise level wording needs to be adjusted. It was very loud to the point of having a conversation was difficult to hear. Great place for families with kids because then they don't need to worry about their volume level.

    I really wanted to love this after the new renovations but the food was way below my expectations. The chowder was smoky, the tarter sauce was green, fisherman’s platter was not worth the price tag and no taste. Fried chicken sangie was missing something, very bland. I think instead of trying to be fancy they should stick to basics with some foods. The renovations are beautiful but I wish the food matched up. I’m hoping they catch on to trying to tweak the food a little more or this is a one and done. Drinks were good.

    Atmosphere good. Service good. Food..disappointing. Burgers charred and hard on the outside. Ceasar salad very wet. Flatbread soggy ang oily. Portion of fried calamari good but too sma6to really share.

    Recently renovated the atmosphere is very comfortable. The service was incredible as well as my swordfish. They really upped their game -everything was great. My only suggestion, which I have asked in the past ,is to figure out their air conditioning. It is always freezing in there and all the patrons have their coats on. I understand the wait staff is working their tails off but it is uncomfortably cold so bring a jacket even in the summer

    Been coming to chapins bayside for years. Loving their new renovations, the ambiance is great and modern. Their new menu has a ton of great options for everyone. We got the edamame, pork ribs, shrimp scampi, and the rigatoni pasta. Everything was delicious. Their cocktails are always great and at a decent price. They have live music in the evening which is fun!
