Exotic flavors and beautiful quality , delightful!. Wonderful service as well
Cannot wait to return !
To start off, we are long time Montreal foodies. We weekly sample Montreal's best.
We were introduced to you many years ago and have been coming to your establishment since - approximately 10x/year. It used to be one of our favourite restaurants and I have been lauding it as the best Thai in Mtl but doubt it now.
We have noticed the past few times we visited that although the service is till very good, the value of our money has dramatically decreased as has the quality of food.
Really hate to stop dining there but will likely do so.
Prices have gone up....quality has gone down. What was a busy restaurant is now empty and I can understand why. Probably will not return..
Excellent as always.
Crab curry was delish
Staples like Satay, fried shrimp n fried spinach kept us asking for more.
Wine selection is superb.
Have been dining here for 12 years now!
Food and service were mediocre. Overall not that great.
A very nice room, and the service was excellent, but the food was very ordinary and over-priced.
Ça a failli gâcher notre soirée.
Food was good - but not amazing for the price
Its not as good as in its heyday but the food is still good.
It was good but not so fantastic for the price. Wine prices outrageous and predictable. very nice staff .
Always great food and nice staff
Visiting Montreal, our friends took us to Chao Phraya. We loved it! Our server Tony was excellent. We shared a bottle of Liberty School Cab Paso Robles. Our soups & aps were delectable. Each of us ordered a diff Main course so we had the chance to try tgem all. Well it was so good that I invited 3 other friends to have dinner w us the next night. This time i asked to add coconut milk to my shrimp tom yum soup - everyone loved it & asked for one. I ordered nmbr 137 - excellent. Trip almost over, i went back w 2 other friends again 2 nights ago. They have very inexpensive wine specials. The food was again filling & succulent. I’ll be back on my mext visits for sure. I’m already having withdrawals.
Awesome Thai food. It was nicely seasoned, interesting dishes.
We had a good time and the food was good. The duck salad was very good . Overall, we all enjoyed our meal.
Luxurious space. Price is a bit steep, but food is great and service is spectacular.
This was our 2nd time at Chayo Praya this year, after having not been in many years. Once again, we were most impressed. Nice ambience, good service, fair wine prices, but most of all, fabulous Asian cuisine. Every single dish tasted fresh and clean, with the quality of the ingredients and preparation coming through in every bite. What a pleasure to experience an Asian meal and not come away from the restaurant with that heavy feeling. In particular, I would wholeheartedly recommend the beef with broccoli and oyster sauce, the chicken in peanut sauce with crispy chicken, and the sticky rice.
Always good over the years.
Parking in gas station across the street $10. & restaurant takes $5. Off the bill
Amazing food as always! This is our go-to Thai restaurant and it never disappoints. Fresh and flavourful, I see no need to even try another Thai restaurant in Montreal.
I've been going to this restaurant for years and rate everything about it as excellent (maybe not the value).
On this occasion, I'm rating one specific dish as poor (#154). The tofu was overcooked, lacked flavour and was like eating rubber.
The saving grace was the way the owner apologized to me for my experience and offered to reimburse me. He wasn't just going through the motions- he was sincere in his apologies.
Chao Phraya wil remain on the list of one of my favourite Thai restaurants.
It was greqt
Felt ripped off. Uncooked eggplants in the 25$ green curry with shrimps. Been here many years back and loved the place. Whatever has changed has not been good. Now it's not even average.
Our waiter was inattentive and ill informed about menu.
We have been there more than any other restaurant. It's our favorite confort food! Our local savoury cantine.
Bonne nourriture mais très dispendieux. Pas le meilleur rapport/qualité prix.
Attentive service and delicious food in comfortable and quiet setting. We four ordered 8 appetizers as our meal and were happy to sample and share.
I'm a huge fan of this restaurant. I try to eat here almost every time I visit Montreal. The food is fantastic and the service is very good. I 'll be back again next time!!! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who enjoys Thai food.
Je fréquente ce restaurant depuis presque 20 ans. Le service et les plats sont excellents. C'est une valeur sûre.
Excellent evening and food!
I had been there a few years back and kept a great souvenir. I was not disapointed and bf who was his first visit loved it! We plan on going back soon.
The food was good but it did not surprise me at all. The service was so slow today
The food was excellent. I had the chicken dumplings with peanut sauce and shrimps with basil along with jasmine tea. Everything was delicious. Can be a bit pricey.
I have coming here for the last 25 years and have never been disappointed. I love this restaurant.
We had a very nice meal at this long standing Thai restaurant.both appetizers were outstanding.dumplings in peanut sauce, some of the best I have had in a while, tasty rich peanut sauce. And the grilled shrimp in a spicy chilli sauce with Asian style coleslaw was the hit of the evening.
All three main meals were excellent. Beef with chilli and veggie s, chicken with fried spinach and that yummy peanut sauce, and chicken in a curry sauce with vegetables.
We had not been here for a while but glad we came to dine.
We went for my boyfriends birthday he really wanted to have satay chicken with crispy spinach and it was amazing. I had a really good Pad Thai. We had a really yummy rice mango and coconut milk dessert. The only thing was the price it was on the expensive side for two people no wine, just two beers, two entrees and one share dessert almost $100 . We will definitely be back
Great food, the quality and taste was really good. We however did find the prices of the appetizers, which were basic, such as imperial rolls very pricey. The wine was also pricey. I am comparing to similar Thai restaurants in the area.
All else was good.
To bad. This was a good restaurant à few years a go. Service very long. The food was dry.
The food and the service are great. The tofu with peanut sauce is delicious!
