Great selection of food for everyone. All our vegan and vegetarian people had lots of choices to make a wonderful evening.
Great food, great service!
Service was slow and when food did arrive, a few of the dishes were not hot, I dictating that they were either waiting for the other dishes, or just not served promptly.
Restaurant was busy, which may explain the service, which was ok, but not up to par for this restaurant.
Food was excellent, as usual.
very nice ambiance
very big choices on menu
menu should be varied always same
Service hors pair. Plats raffinés, prix raisonnable et vin à prix abordable. Belle soirée sans se ruiner.

The food was great! We were 3 and shared 3 main dishes + a side of spinach and 2 steamed rices and had plenty for 32 $ per person without tip (we took no wine or beer). It was very easy to hold a conversation and there was no 2-hour deadline to get out of the restaurant on a Saturday evening. If you need to be in a trendy space, just know that the decor and furniture is a bit outdated. However, lots of windows so you can see outside. Great value and food for the money.
This is a fabulous Thai treasure in Montreal. Crispy spinach in peanut sauce and Meekrob appetizer are a must
The food was DELICIOUS!!! It is a bit pricey but knowing the portion sizes now, I would order less. Tables were a little close together in the section we were in, I didn’t enjoy that. It’s in a cool part of town. I will definitely return!
Excellent cuisine, very friendly service, personalized recommendations, and a very wonderful environment to enjoy your dinner. The owner personally came to us to introduce himself, share hot sauces and recommendations, and check on us. Delicious fried tofu and noodle dishes alike. Definitely check out when in Montreal!
The restaurant was full but it seemed that there was only 1 waiter, along with assistants who served water and food. We waited a very long time to order and then to receive our bill. The hostess needs to learn French - she couldn't understand basic phrases in French, which was very frustrating for the French-speaking members of our party.
Your service is so wonderful. My friend and I ordered 2 shrimp dishes to share with white rice and they were so delicious. I will definitely return here for dinner again very soon. We both come from the western side of Canada, so we are bias when we have South Eastern Asian cuisine. Chao Phraya is a hidden gem for delicious Thai dishes and I'm glad I eventually discovered it.
Food is very good. Portions are bigger than expected. Leftovers!!
Haven’t been in a while was fantastic was surprised still great , new owner didn’t change the food he understands don’t change your winning combination
food is good although on the expensive side for Thai. Good size helpings. They could make it more reasonable if they didn't charge $4 each for tiny bowls of rice and $12 plus for 4 small vegetarian spring rolls.
Use to be very good but that place went down. The service is also horrible. Dumpling arrived with peanut sauce arrived cold and fried noodles with tofu and shrimps had 4 pieces of that inside and the rest was a big plate of noodles. Will not go back unfortunately.
Food was excellent. Service was great from the people filling up glasses and doing the service. But the ones taking the orders were very cold and smileless. That’s the only improvement I can see. I will definitely return
Great food . We loved it,
Excellent all around! Will definitely dine again the ne t time I’m in Montreal.
The food was excellent. I highly recommend the eggplants. Service was very good too would come back.
Second time here and food was as delicious as it was the first time. Everything is very fresh and flavourful.
Amazing service, amazing food, always a pleasure to spend an evening at Chao Phraya!
Had not been to Chao Phraya in many years and was please to see that it was still as tasty as I remember it. I found the portions a little small based on the price but the quality and taste was excellent so I will not complain about the small portions, next time I'll just order an extra dish and experience one more item to enjoy.
Dissatisfying. I used to be a huge fan of this restaurant. I believe they have changed owners in the past few years and food has gone downhill, ever since. A bottle of wine, an entrée and 3 dishes cost us $200. The fried tofu was dry and we couldn’t even eat it. We left there hungry with 3/4 of the food left on the table.
Service was outstanding.
We have yet to be disappointed with the quality and hospitality .
The dishes have flavors and textures that are exquisite and exotic .
If you have a flare for Spicy 🌶 this is a place that will it disappoint!
Cannot wait to go back again !
Best Thai food in town, basil beef, and shrimp with four type of sauces was out of this world
Good meal. Sticky rice pairs perfectly with spicy dishes.
I first came here in Feb 2018, had a great experience then. And been back twice since then. My favorite Thai restaurant by thus far. Authentic food and delicious. Definitely having my birthday here next year.
The food was average. The service was attentive. Not worth the money. I've had better food court Thai food for less than half the price. Bottom line - not worth the high price tag. Not recommended.
Exotic flavors and beautiful quality , delightful!. Wonderful service as well
Cannot wait to return !
To start off, we are long time Montreal foodies. We weekly sample Montreal's best.
We were introduced to you many years ago and have been coming to your establishment since - approximately 10x/year. It used to be one of our favourite restaurants and I have been lauding it as the best Thai in Mtl but doubt it now.
We have noticed the past few times we visited that although the service is till very good, the value of our money has dramatically decreased as has the quality of food.
Really hate to stop dining there but will likely do so.
Prices have gone up....quality has gone down. What was a busy restaurant is now empty and I can understand why. Probably will not return..
Excellent as always.
Crab curry was delish
Staples like Satay, fried shrimp n fried spinach kept us asking for more.
Wine selection is superb.
Have been dining here for 12 years now!
