Chao Pescao is our neighborhood restaurant offering a gastronomic journey through Latin America and the Caribbean curated by Costa Rican born Chef Keivin. The menu style is shared plates, and this is your chance to discover some of the unique flavors of the region. Our award-winning mixology program has also made this restaurant a guest favorite. Mixology, cooking classes and live music are offered throughout the week. Our communal table is perfect for large parties.

If you are not a homeowner or guest staying at one of the resorts or homes within Peninsula Papagayo, please contact Guest Services at gscenter.papagayo@andaz.com to advise the date and time of your reservation, so we may coordinate your entry into Peninsula Papagayo with the security teams.     Service really sucked but the food was great. They seem to forget to give us a waiter when we arrived . We had to ask for one. The wait staff all ignored our table and walked by us many times. We would not go back.

    We came here twice during our stay and was good. The items that were good shirt steak for Chile, ceviche for Peru, crochette/empanadas for Costa Rica. Brisket was too chewy, garlic prawns for Mexico was flavorless/chewy. We sat in the uncovered patio and had lots of bugs around us. The staff did seem too friendly either.

    This is a tapas style restaurant. I highly recommend the skirt steak from Chile, ceviche from Peru, crochettes from Costa Rica were all delicious. The prawns from Mexico was flavorless/rubbery and should avoid this. They have a mixologist award apparently that were good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to sample a little of Latin America.

    The menu is not great. Food wasn’t either. Small portions. In years past, the cocktails have been amazing but even the cocktails were not great. There are so many better options on the Peninsula.

    Warm friendly service, great food, fun casual atmosphere. Live Latin music and the mixed drinks were the best we have had at the Andaz.

    Setting is lovely, service is exceptional and food is exquisite. It is an ideal taste experience to try dishes from many different Central and South.American countries. The only problem is deciding what to eat. Plan on repeat visits to try them all!
