Seemed more elegant than expected. I was dressed fine but my teenage adults were not. I felt bad. Nobody turned us away. Everyone was friendly. The food and drinks were amazing! Such great flavors. 💜
Food was amazing and spectacular above and beyond my expectations.
This was probably my sixth or seventh time there, but the service just doesn’t seem to be up to par with the restaurant. Also, on this occasion the food wasn’t very good either, but it has been on every other visit. I hope you continue to work on the service
Amazing food and caters to all diet types. Outstanding!
Food was delish, loved the vibe. Server was having a rough day.
Parking isn't easy.
I did a reservation for 19:45, was there at 19:35, I was offered a table by the kitchen or I have to wait, with an excuse that there were no other tables available. Then at 20:00 I was offered my table in the opposite side
& it was a booth, but there were more than 5 other booths available.
My server was late, as I guess there were not enough servers for the number of customers.
The menu have a lot of varieties & the food was tasty, it was a little bit salty (but that's a personal preference).
New building and great ambiance. Was really surprised by the type of foods they served on their menu. From oysters, tacos, steaks and even full traditional Mexican dishes options.
We started with their Baja oysters and queso appetizer. The oysters were meaty sweet and presented with a bed of salt, very good.
I had the Chile Relleno with Shrimp. I was blown away from the flavors, brought me back to my moms home cooking. Prepared nicely with a creamy sauce inside accompanied with pieces of shrimp and wrapped in a spicy Chile Poblano on a bed of white rice and red salsa, superb. Would definitely go back just for this dish again.
Service was great, we were greeted at the door and checked up on through out our stay. Overall had a pleasant experience, I will definitely be returning here for another great dish and experience.
Plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. My favorite so far has been the vegan cheese enchiladas. Amazing cocktails. Highly recommend the Oaxacan Old Fashioned - I'll never have an old fashioned with anything but mezcal anymore. Really wonderful service every time.
Drinks were great and food was delish!
My new favorite place. Our server Dave was extremely attentive.
The food is AMAZING!!! The chantico breakfast tacos are the best crispy tacos I’ve ever had. Get the blue corn pancake, it’s a must!!! Seriously all of the food is great. I live in Mesa and will happily drive to Central Phoenix for the food! Service is great too.
Great exciting modern Mexican Cuisine.
Great drkinks and atmosphere!
Our server was great! He made wonderful recommendations, made sure we were tended to but not hovering. The food was mostly excellent. I would've taken home gallons of both salsas if I could but the clams appetizer was only fair. Not a lot of flavor- mediocre. However, the brisket taco (recommended by server) was amazing. The tortilla soup- one and done- not bad just not good enough to get again, very thick like hot ketchup texture. Green chili corn and chipotle mashed potatoes were great sides.
Love this place and will definitely be going back. Love the ala carte options, food, and ambiance. Drinks are great but a little overpriced for the size. I will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be back!
Love this place. Great atmosphere, great food. This was our third time there and it is consistently good!
The only issue was an observation, an guy at a table was using the cutlery to feed his dog.
Incredible all around
Excellent Mexico City - Oaxaca style cuisine . Everything in the menu is delicious . Excellent service and beautiful restaurant . I love the patio seating with ceiling heaters . Great service!!
Lovely place...
Really loved this place! Try the charred sweet potato
First time visit to Chantico, nice ambiance. Bartender was slammed, and didn’t appear to have any help besides the bar back. We waited longer than necessary for a drink. It was a cool December night 45-50 degrees out. We sat at the bar the heat must’ve been turned up to 80+ degrees, it was hot and uncomfortable. More than likely I wouldn’t return and would stick to Los Dos Molinos across the street.
Loved the decor, ambience food and service!
Awesome modern southwestern atmosphere. The food & cocktails are excellent. Amazing molé as well. Actually inexpensive- you could have a laid-back happy hour or a date, the variety of menu items & price points provides flexibility. I’ll definitely be dining here regularly.
Server took over 10 minutes to greet us, lacked knowledge on the menu and gave poor recommendations. Drinks took a long time to come out, the ceviche was sweet and overwhelmed by the coconut flavor, the fish tacos were cold and the sauce with them was off-putting, the wings were not spicy and lacked flavor arrived luke warm.
Fabulous service and food. Love the atmosphere especially the fire bowls and tall ceilings. The chips and salsa could be the best we’ve ever had - and loved that they had red and green especially right before Christmas! The Chile Relleno was light, compared to others I’ve had, and delicious although I did find myself envious of the sweet potato taco on my sons plate. His favorite was the al pastor though. Reasonably priced. My only complaint would be the music was too loud for this 56-year-old -much like their sister restaurant Ocotillo which I also enjoyed but can’t take the loudness. All in all I plan to go back.
Food, drinks and ambiance was amazing. Our party ordered several things, all of which was delicious. However, I wouldn’t order the oysters again. The service could’ve been better. It took way too long to get one dish and it was hard to flag down a server for a water refill.
I’d still visit again though.
Love the ambience, the music, the drinks, the service and the TAMALES!
First time at this restaurant and it will definitely not be the last… Cool vibe… Excellent food...My new favorite!
Great food and great atmosphere!! Can’t wait to go back
Modern feel, unique menu and solid beverage menu. This is our third visit and everything has been consistent. If you love fresh modern Mexican cuisine this is a must visit.
Absolutely delicious. We originally just came for the nachos. The beef was flavored to perfection. We ended up getting a couple tacos. Two soft(fish and carne). Two hard(shrimp and Birria). Everything had the right amount of kick and so much flavor. My boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back here.
Love the vibe in the restaurant. We sat “outdoor” patio which is nicer than indoor dining room to me. Good food and nice people working there. The only complaint is that we had to wait a long time in between drinks and we also ran out of chips. They served the queso with just a spoon. Nothing to put it on. Be careful if you have a peanut allergy though. They have peanuts in one of the sauces and it’s unadvertised on the menu.
Great experience, Great food, Excellent service. Would highly recommend.
Great service and amazing food and cocktails.
The environment is awesome for a date night! Super cute. The staff is all really kind and ensures that you get what you want. The food is phenomenal as well! Overall, I had a great experience!
Everyone’s meal was fantastic, we were never rushed, and they swapped out someone’s drink when they didn’t like it. We all said we would go back for brunch sometime
We were so excited to try this new restaurant. Everything at the outset was promising. Great decor, very nice hostesses, and the pictures of the food online look great. Unfortunately that’s where the good things about the restaurant stopped. We ordered cocktails which sounded so good. Mine (it had vodka, pomegranate and hibiscus) tasted like cough medicine. Honestly I’ve had jungle juice that tasted better. My boyfriend’s cocktail (the name had “unicorn” in it, tequila was the main ingredient) was slightly better but still not really drinkable. The appetizers were ok. Nothing to write home about. Then we ordered the fish tacos and the crispy shrimp tacos. The crispy shrimp tacos were fine but you can’t really mess up anything that is deep-fried. The fish tacos had an insane amount of sour cream and the fish inside wasn’t fresh. Don’t waste your time.
Great space and patio, delicious upscale Mexican food
I possibly had the BEST fish tacos - ever! So fresh, and perfectly fried, very lightly...delicious. The patio seating is stunning, the indoor seating felt a little more like a cafeteria. But other than that aesthetic, I'll be back for more!!
