Someday I'll have steak, but every time I've been to Chandler's the seafood is so fantastic I must order it!
Best steak house in the Treasure Valley. Might be the best in entire state, but I haven't tried enough outside the Treasure Valley within Idaho. A variety of atmospheres from the bar to the general dining with a piano player to the smaller dining areas. Steaks are always cooked to exactly how you like it, from rare to well done without any judgement. Huge wine list, great cocktails, and beer selection.
The scallops were excellent. Cooked to perfection! The featured prime rib (Sunday special, I gather) was very flavorful and cooked medium-rare. However, when served it was not hot? I did not send it back. In fact I ate the whole thing!
Such a wonderful restaurant to celebrate our anniversary! The food was amazing and our server was out of this world!! Would highly recommend for an evening out to enjoy delicious food and ambiance.
Our server, Bodie, was great. Very attentive and very helpful. The noise level was ridiculously loud. It is very unfortunate that the dining area is so very close to the bar.
From the 10 minute martini to the Chocolate Souffle, Zac took great care of us and all courses were enjoyed. We were celebrating 2 belated birthdays, so 2 souffles arrived after our outstanding meal!
The $95 Bulls Eye Steak was unreal. The ribeye steak was shared by 2 people and one liked theirs more cooked, so Zac took it back and cooked it more. We found out after our dinner that we should have had the Santa Barbara Abalone. Enjoy!
Excellent service and food. Great Manhattan. Was looking forward to sharing a ribeye steak with my husband (shouldn't that be the item to order at a well-known steak house?). But he decided on something else and I took advantage of the fresh seafood they fly in each day. The scallops on truffled potato patties was fabulous as was the Caesar salad. I love the leather booths, ambiance of the bar with blue lighting and of course the entertainment - pianist for a while then the jazz combo that you can enjoy any night of the week. Prices are comparable to any quality restaurant. Highly recommended.
Great experience always!.
Excellent dinner for a party of 8. Everyone chose different menu items. All delicious.
My cowboy steak was grisly which combined with a more rare then medium rare preparation made for a disappointing piece of meat. Should I have sent it back...yeah.
My wife was pleased with her lamb chops.
This was our first experience at your restaurant. Sloane could not have done any better as a server. She was magnificent with her knowledge and explanations of the food and seafood choices. The ambiance, coordination of the service and everyone was of the best I have ever experienced. The manager even came by to say hi and chat. We will be back!! Thank you
Wonderful food and cocktails. The wagyu beef is phenomenal as is the kobe beef. Locally sourced food as well as locally sourced liquors
This is the most elegant restaurant in Boise. From the beginning with the valet to the end with dessert and the live music in the middle. Chandlers is a complete experience, not just the best food.
As a recent foodie and restaurateur transplant from Portland, in my humble opinion, Chandler’s is really the only legitimate classic steak house option in Boise. Since they don’t have any true competition in this city, one would think that they’d get a little “comfortable”. No sir! Rex is like Phil Jackson with his triangle offense and Dave is like Kobe in the fourth every damn night! Relentlessly pushing their team to greatness by executing on environment, service and product like they’re down by 10 with 2 minutes on the clock, when in reality they’re up by 30 and they’re just putting on a show to keep their loyal fans entertained and coming back for more. Keep up the good work boys!
We had a great dinner for our anniversary. Our server Clayton was the best. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were delicious.
Best steak in town! Chandlers never disappoints, food, service and ambiance always on point.
Everything was great as usual.
As always, Chandler’s delivered. Great ambiance, amazing service and an all around enjoyable evening. Thank you for making our 25th anniversary memorable!
Outstanding service, superb food and high-end ambience.
Always great food, service and all around great experience. Did notice it was very loud and hard to hear access the table this time!
Dinner at Chandlers was excellent as always. We were celebrating an anniversary and it was very special. They had a 3 man (mature) band playing jazzy music -very enjoyable!
We've enjoyed Chandlers for years, high end service, food and reasonable pricing.
It's a comfortable dependable relaxing night out. It's an experience for us.
Overall the experience was fantastic. Food was great. Our server was great. Our table was directly behind/next to the piano so although his playing was spot on it was a little loud and made talking across our table a bit challenging.
Great food, I had the Del Monaco which was wonderful, my wife had the Scallops, which, as many others have said, are the best she has ever had. Overall great meal, once again.
Everything is amazing! We don't go anywhere else for celebrations!
The food was amazing as always, and the wait staff was attentive and helpful. The service was a bit slower than normal, which was surprising for a Sunday evening.
Amazing restaurant! Good food, great vibes. Liked the band. Liked the service, from the parking service through the service inside. I wasn’t a fan of the desserts but other that, would definitely come back!
A great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, this is a top notch establishment so pro are to be treated exceptionally well!
Wonderful service, food and atmosphere. Thanks for making a birthday celebration a special night!
Wonderful meal with great service. Nice live music in the background. Tried to transition to the bar after dinner and the place was completely packed. Gotta grab your spot early.
Excellent service and selection of wine and entrees!
Bodie is by far one of the best guest service provider I've had the pleasure of meeting in quite a long while. Of course he's knowledgeable, as one would expect of Chandler's, but he is a fantastic ambassador for Boise.in general. I look forward to a return visit later this spring.
I thought the food was amazing and service was great too, they gave us a free soufflé for our birthday celebration. The food prices are a little high for the area but overall the night was a wonderful time with friends.
Always a lovely and special meal at Chandlers.
FOOD WAS GOOD AS ALWAYS, DIDN'T REALLY CARE FOR THE BROCOLLI MIX OVERCOOKED. WAITER WAS JUST OK, NOT UP TO THE STANDARDS OF WHAT WE WERE USE TO.
Service was excellent and the food even better. The only thing I can think of that could use improvement would be when we first checked in. Our table wasn’t quite ready and we had to wait while standing in the lobby. There didn’t appear to be any comfortable place to wait. It’s also possible we weren’t aware of a place to sit and wait, but if that’s the case the hostess could’ve informed us. This was our first time here and we would definitely come back. Overall, it met our high expectations.
We have gone every year for a birthday and every time the food and service is amazing. From the in season seafood to the wine pairings; well worth the expense to go. Take your time and enjoy every course and the live jazz music :)
Perfect in every aspect of a really fine dining experience. We have celebrated many special occasions at this five star restaurant never to be let down whatsoever. It's the way true unforgettable moments are meant to be. Having dined in many cities throughout the U.S & abroad, none can compare to Chandler's. This establishment was recently named as one of the top 10 romantic restaurants in the U.S. by a travel expert & deserves that title many times over. Our favorite restaurant ever!
Steak was really tough, not very flavorful for the price and cut. However, the customer service and ambiance was amazing.
