Excellent food and service! It was a lovely leisurely dinner. Highly recommend.
This was our third time dining at Chandler's and for us the charm just wasn't there. Our first visit three years ago was nearly magical yet this past week the fairy tale atmosphere had vanished. We had a reservation and were seated in a side room while walking past several open tables in the main dining area. Nonetheless the service was very good with someone in black bringing bread and water, our waiter snappily dressed in vest & tie and our entries delivered by yet another person in white. Both of our salads and main dishes were set in front of the wrong person.
I suppose it's the little things that make a big difference. The one I find most upsetting at an establishment like Chandler's is a twenty something girl greeting you and looking at you, then the reservation screen and then she tells the other twenty something girl which table we should be seated at like she's passing judgement on us before we've entered the dining room. Almost like our money isn't good enough.
That attitude and the price point doesn't add up for us to be back anytime soon, if ever.
Fantastic food and service, as always.
We went to Chandlers for our Anniversary-two years in a row! We are thinking of making it a tradition. This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Top Notch!
Wonderful service, amazing food and beverages, as always!
Excellent as always. Service, quality of food. Ambience. Smooth background music. Always a quality experience.
A co-worker said this was the best meal he’d had in a long time. I concur that the food here was spectacular. We started with the steamed claims. The broth they were soaked in was amazing; we ended up dipping the remainder of our bread in it. For my entree I ordered the pacific lobster. This was the one of the best lobsters I’ve ever had second to a restaurant in Martha’s Vineyard, MA. I highly recommend trying the maple bacon brownies for dessert. I wouldn’t have though candied bacon would taste so great. The only reason this wasn’t a 5-star rating was because of the prices. Albeit, the whole experience was great, but I just don’t know if it was worth the price.
It was an amazing experience to have and was very romantic evening. The seating was amazing, our server was very knowledgeable . Will return in the future!
I had never been here and heard it was spendy. It was but totally worth it. The steak was amazing, soup, everything. The service was the best. Our waiter Logan and the staff were fantastic. Yes you will drop a couple of Ben franklins or more for dinner for two but honestly you only live once and this place is worth it.
Amazing dining experience! Every hostess, server, waiter...thank you for the most enjoyable evening. Chefs, you outdid yourselves and the meal was outstanding. Thank you!
A little pricey but excellent food and service. Was seated right next to live music so it was a little loud for my tastes.
Per the usual, our evening was top-notch at Chandler's! My grandmother and I love the environment, the food and all of the staff. The Grass-Fed Filet is one of the best items on the menu and the wilted spinach salad is another one of our favorites.
A little bit too expensive for the portions that we received. Everything still tasted delicious and they gave us a free chocolate soufflé because it was my birthday. Adam was very kind and even helped walk us through the menu because we had never been there before. Very formal atmosphere and not a single crying baby!
Had another great experience at Chandler's. Our group had a couple of the filets cooked medium rare, done just right along with the swordfish. Again cooked just perfectly. Great staff. Chandler's has become our favorite restaurant!
Jeff was fantastic and the food was amazing.
Thanks for the wonderful anniversary dinner.
We have been to Chandlers Steakhouse numerous times and we are completely satisfied. The food is outstanding and everyone treats us very special. If you want a great steakhouse, great wine and drinks, this is the place to come. You won’t be disappointed. Best steakhouse in Boise.
We visited Chandlers for the second time last week. Hands down the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. The steaks are outstanding, best scallops you will find. From the bread to dessert it is absolutely fantastic.
Chandlers consistently beats my expectations. If you have a special event to celebrate, you can’t do better in this area. Great food, great service, great live music. The “10 minute martini” is magic, as is the sea bass.
From cocktails through dessert another excellent date night at Chandlers!
Chandlers, always consistent, always presents as an amazing experience.
wonderful experience. this was our third time dining here and each time the food was very good.
Bar staff and drinks are great. My drink order was screwed up upon sitting at our table. They owned up to it and got a new one for me. The oysters were top notch along with their seasonal chorizo soup and the lobster bisque. Our server Blake and assistant Dillion were fantastic. We the had two salads which were tasty and right on.
Our issue was we had the tartare and carpaccio as mains along with an order of fries to share. Both mains were heavily over dressed and our fries came halfway through the main. We have ate at Chandlers before and they were a 5. Tonight did not inspire us to repeat unless it was for the bar.
What frosted my chops was the front desk asking me how things were. I sensed the I don’t care attitude from the young lady at the desk.
Win some lose some
The most amazing steak dinner from the bread to salad to main course with a beautiful bottle of wine and to top it off creme. Brulee...felt like a queen!!
The bouillabaisse was fantastic. The wagyu steak delish. Great service, lovely live music, everything we expect from a visit to Chandler’s!
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. Truly a fine dining experience.
Most amazing meal; for our main entree, I had the halibut and my husband had the del Monaco steak. We also had lobster bisque and a salad for a starter and both were delicious. The service was impeccable and the knowledge our waiter had was more than we could have asked. Sad we were too full for dessert! We’ll be back for sure.
Chandler's is one of my favorite steak houses not just in Boise but in the World and I have been to a few GREAT places. The food is terrific, atmosphere is great, and service superb. If you are lucky enough to work on a night that Lucas is your server, you will be impressed with the 1-1 touch and service he brings as well as Richard the sommelier will pair the exact perfect wine with your food. HIGHLY recommend!
First time to Chandlers for 4 of us. A very lovely experience. The food is excellent. We had a flatiron steak, Chilian sea bass and scallops. All very well prepared and perfect. Cocktails were very good and as busy as the Saturday night was, the wait for drinks was short. The prices of the food is as expected. I expected expensive wine but it doesn't make it taste any better. Our waiter and the employees were awesome. My only negative was piano music could have been a little quieter, but it was very nice music.
We took our children to Chandler's to let them experience a "fancy" dinner. The waitress/staff were great but the food took forever to arrive, was not at all memorable, tasted only ok and mine was lukewarm at best. After 3 hours my kids were bored to tears and then with a bill for over $300 (not including tip), I felt like it was a complete ripoff. Definitely not worth our while, won't be returning anytime soon.
The service was excellent but the food wasn't anything spectacular
We went there for our anniversary. From the food to the ambiance to the service; it was a wonderful meal. We will be back.
The restaurant runs like a well oiled machine with great food food, service and drinks.
Fabulous staff. Our food was amazing, as always. It's our go-to restaurant for any kind of celebration or just to have a special night.
I went there to propose marriage to my girlfriend. I called ahead for a special table. They were great and helped to make the whole experience amazing. Food was awesome. With this kind of venue and atmosphere there was no way she could say no!!
Overall an incredible experience. Just what I was hoping for in hosting a business colleague.
Always a great experience
My companion and I had a wonderful dining experience at Chandler's. The service from Cameron, Adam, and Kevin was excellent. My companion felt that the lobster bisque was slightly tepid and the shape of the bowl made it difficult to consume. I loved my Filet Mignon, but she felt it was too rare for a medium preparation. My only concern is that my steak knife could have been sharper, but this is a minor problem during a wonderful evening. The Chocolate Souffle was fantastic.
Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Always perfect in quality, presentation service, ambience and flavor.
I've been dining at Chandlers for years and years. Chandler's has nearly always been at the top of my list of restaurants to recommend for special get-togethers and wonderful food. It has been a few years since I've been there, but recently celebrated a very important anniversary and wanted it to be perfect. We arrived and were greeted by wonderful staff. Our drinks (my favorite classic 10-minute martini) were wonderful. The ambiance was great, as expected. We later moved to the dining room and ordered seared ahi as an appetizer. It was also, wonderful. Then, we ordered our entree's. This is where it took a turn for the worse. I asked about the Bouillabaisse and was told that it was excellent. When I received it, I could smell the "less than fresh" fish. The crab and the rock fish were both beyond fresh. I sent it back. I am by no means a snob, and I was very polite, simply indicating that it did not taste fresh. A manager was sent to the table and I was "informed" that both him and the chef tasted it and that it was fine, "probably just that you're not used to saffron" he said. "Alright" I responded, "may I order something else?" "Yes, of course" he replied. So I decided on the dry aged new york strip, which was another of the offerings I had been considering as well. Much to my surprise, it we to my table very quickly. Alas, I ordered it medium, and it was brought "extra crispy (pronounced "charred") on the outside, and nearly raw on the inside. I made no complaint. We finished out special evening and I left with most of the meal in a box. We were both disappointed. I'm not saying I'll never go back, but I was so disappointed in what was supposed to be a very special evening. It will be some time before I return, if ever.
Awesome experience! The perfect combination of helpful, lighthearted service...not stuffy and serious. We were not “over attended” like so many upscale restaurants. Food was out of this world! Thanks for a great experience for me and my friends:))
