So sorry to see Chandler's Crabhouse is no closed.
Hope that they can relocate somewhere on the eastside.
Had the pleasure of returning to this restaurant to have one final meal at its last weekend opened before it closes forever. Amazing place, amazing staff, amazing experience!
We were there the last weekend they were open. Sorry to see it, along with Dukes chowder house, closing.
Sorry to see it go! My daughter enjoyed the experience!
I am just sorry this restaurant is closing today for good. Hopefully they will open again somewhere else

But Not Forgotten
We love it, and are sorry to see it go!
We went there for years for special everything.
We met friends for dinner at Chandler's. We had fond memories of the restaurant and wanted to be sure we went before it closed. The food was very good, the service outstanding, and of course, that view! It wasn't inexpensive, but worth it for the experience. Sad that it's closing.
This is truly a special place. We celebrate our anniversary nearly every year there for dinner. Are truly sad that it will be closing soon.
We almost asked for a Chandler’s plate or steak knife to keep as a momento. It truly means a lot to us eating at this treasure.
They are closing so, I wanted to eat before they closed.
Too expensive, too loud, nice view on the Lake Union
We have been dining at Chandler's since 1990. When I made the reservation, I asked for a window seat or booth. Our window seat was looking at the outdoor seating? Then moved to a table next to the working station. While 4 men were given a Wonderful window seat and there were no one in the booths. This was a very special 65th Birthday. I was very disappointed! Wont be back before the closing.
The steamed crab lacked the distinctive Dungeness flavor that I was hoping to experience. The texture was fine, service excellent, and we were given a window seat as we had requested. The wine is a bit pricey, but overall it was a pleasant birthday
oysters are very delicious！
Food was delicious - crab cake to die for! Glad we were able to enjoy lunch here before it closes for good.
On our 38th anniversary my wife and I went to Chandler's CrabHouse on Lake Union. Two Word's... Crab Rockefeller. Try it! Try it! Try it! Other than that; not the world's best Dungeness Crab Cakes but very good nonetheless. Not the world's best service but adequate with intermittent periods of sort of OK. Stuffed Salmon very nice but cooked in too much butter believe it or not. I named my first-born Butter so you should know how hard that is for me to say. Not sure why many comment so favorably on "The View" at Chandler's. We had a front row seat to the marina and that was cool but no way was it even in the top 50 for views in Seattle. So, I know that Chandlers is closing and that is sad and all, but it WAS our anniversary as I indicated in my Open Table reservation. In view of the foregoing, I had the expectation that this would be acknowledged by staff as has been done in countless restaurants in Seattle over the years. Didn't happen at Chandler's on this particular night and that to me is the clearest sign that this Schwartz Bros establishment is done and well-done. Bye Bye.
We intended to have brunch. The online menu still lists all of the previous brunch menu, but when we got there they said they have not been serving brunch for quite a long time so we had to settle for lunch. Their brunch menu was always our favorite menu and we feel it should have been removed from the online menu when it ceased to be served
There were, maybe, 2 tables filled when we arrived. The rest of the restaurant was empty. Instead of seating us in the Atrium area (nicest area—best view) the hostess tried to seat us in an area with an obstructed view of the water. We asked if we could sit in the empty Atrium. Reluctantly, the hostess allowed us to sit in the Atrium, but at the end of it where it has an obstructed view. The other tables remained empty during our meal. It could be we were dressed casually, and she didn’t feel we fit their image, so she discriminated against us and had us sit in a less than desirable table. Also, our meal was disappointing. This used to be our favorite restaurant.
Definitely would return would like to try additional items on the menu. The waitress was friendly and helpful.
The food was excellent. The service was mediocre at best. She did not fill up drinks even after I put them at the edge of the table. She did not offer more bread or anything. I would have never left a 20% tip on such lousy service.
Great place. Too bad that it is closing soon.
You just need a great Muscadet to go with your oysters, like Perle de Mer.
Great. View was awesome
Excellent food and great view. Too bad they are closing the end of this month :(
We came there for seafood and it was great, the patio was a great touch for our date night..
This restaurant never disappoints... We can't here a couple years ago for an anniversary and have fantasized about their dungeness crab ever since. I thought "It can't be as good as I remember", but it was! The view is fantastic, the food and drink delicious, and the staff all perfectly friendly and helpful.
Food entrees were mediocre. 20% automatically added as service charge and waiter acted like it. No sense of urgency or engagement at table. Excuse to not refill my soda was Seattle soda tax, even though it doesn’t apply to diet.
I asked for no olives in salad, but it came with them anyway. I sent it back and they returned 30 seconds later after trying to pluck them out. I could have done that.
Maybe since they are closing they know they don’t have much to lose.
Crab Mac and Cheese was amazing though.
Good materials, ehh results. Some stuff too rich, some over-spicy, some kind of bland. Portions too big, everything came without pause. Dukes next door was a much better, cheaper experience.
Food was good, service good. Didn’t like having a 20% service charge added on for only 2 diners.
Thank you for an amazing experience. I'm visiting from Delray Beach, Fla. The view was awesome and the food was by far the best seafood I've had. It was worth every dollar and I would recommend anyone reading this to go and experience this place...
We just went there and had the crab cake meal but it was cold. I told them and they took it and brought it back few min later with a few bites taken out (the same one we had) with the top burned and the bottom burned. It was a $48 crab cake and that is how we got it. This has always been our favorite place but I guess because they are relocating they don’t care. It was even the Manager that was on duty that brought it to us. Also took 15 min to get a dessert. Disappointed!
Chandler's was my office's go-to restaurant before we moved out of the area 8 years ago. I heard the restaurant was closing so had to schedule a team lunch before they left. Overall food was what we generally remembered, although everything was a little off. The chowder was served lukewarm, the tartar sauce was tart, salad not so incredible, menu trimmed down. The banana creme pie is normally the highlight, but it came in a much smaller serving and the bananas were brown. It was obviously assembled the day before or earlier. The tables and chairs are worn and outdated. Chandler's used to draw a huge lunch crowd with the incredible view and amazing service. I'm so bummed they are closing in 5 weeks - it felt like they are already dialing everything down.
Great view to go with the great food and service.
Overall we had a great experience, food was excellent.
So sad to see this once-great restaurant fall so poorly in its twilight days. The service was not in keeping with the Chandlers I knew and loved. Soup served with skim on it, it had clearly been sitting in cups and then brought out. Waiter inattentive (and possibly chauvinistic) or maybe just not having a good night, that's entirely possible. Really sad. We do wish everyone well as they move on and hope that Daniels is not the next to fall.
This is a favorite restaurant of ours so I hate to write this review. We normally have a wonderful time when we come here. Food, service, view are almost always fabulous. The food was wonderful as usual, but the service was subpar and there were spiders all over the patio by our table. I am hoping this is an isolated occurrence and this restaurant is not letting their service slide since the bill automatically includes the gratuity.
Good food and great view from patio. Server was new and we had a few minor issues with timing of food delivery. Overall, a good dining experience.
Great waitress. Suggested a wonderful wine and moved us to a more quiet spot when a large party came in. Caesar salad nothing special but the crab cakes and fresh steamed crab were excellent.
Service was rushed, waiter was un-engaging, food was mediocre. Expensive and 20% automatic tip. Perhaps the automatic tip is adversely effecting the quality of service. Not likely to return anytime soon.
We organized a mini bridal celebration over lunch. The staff went above and beyond, the food was spectacular and the setting was stunning!
Firstly, the restaurant has a great ambiance. It looks really good with fancy interiors and has a classy feeling. We had the crab and artichoke dip with tortilla chips as a starter. It was great. I had the crab stuffed prawns as my main course and it was really good. Nice portions and very tasty! We sat indoors but I am sure the views of Lake Union are worth it for the people who sit outside. All over a great dining experience.
