Chan is a perfect balance between modern and traditional Korean Cuisine. I absolutely loved the food, it was so well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and Robin our waitress was extremely helpful in explaining each dish. I am in town for two weeks and I am planning on visiting again with friends.

A group of 5 foodies, we love Chan and love the food. We basically order every item on the menu and share. It was delicious and tummy filling.

Though this experience our waitress was a little awkward. We felt like she was shaming our friend for not drinking, she asked for a ginger beer... and the waitress in a very judgy tone said, non-alcoholic... almost with a sign on the end. It didn't make sense and we were turned off the rest of the evening. Not saying she was not kind, but for the amount of food we ordered I was very turned off by how she took care of us.

But... I would still come back and I would still eat everything on the menu!

Mostly a "small plates" type of menu, we happened to arrive towards the end of happy hour and took advantage of that to order almost one of everything! The staff were very nice about adapting a few dishes for my kids (i.e. leaving off spicy sauces). Super nice staff, wonderful food

The food is excellent, and the happy hour menu has enough variety to become dinner for two. My suggestion for improving the dining experience here would be to hire one more server. As it is, there is typically just one server covering all of the tables. Though she gets help with food delivery, when the restaurant is full it's just too many tables to manage. With an additional server, the service would match the high quality of the food and the festive atmosphere of this local gem.

Bulgagi sliders were amazing. Braised short rib too. Chicken fried rice was so so spicy but great!

Their menu says that they serve Korean fusion, but it didn't have the complex Korean flavors and it wasn't quite fusion enough. The bulgogi sliders were as fusion as it got. I thought the food was mediocre. Really nice ambiance though and the staff was very sweet.

the hostess and server were fantastic. due to some unforseen complications we were 20 minutes late for our reservation and they happily accommodated us. we had a concert to go to afterwards, so despite the fact that we were late and our time crunch was our own fault the hostess let the kitchen know we were pressed for time and all of our food came out quickly. average food, that was still quite tasty and satisfying, but great service. would definitely go back for a quick bite before a show, and their happy hour is pretty darn good too!

We have been going to Cha:n since it first opened and have loved seeing how popular it has become. Making a reservation was a good idea (it was a Wednesday evening). There were four of us and ordered the bulgogi sliders, rice cakes, mushroom japchae, and the chicken fried rice. We shared them all. They were all super delicious, just like we remembered the dishes to be from the opening of the restaurant. One thing I did notice was that the dishes were saucier than usual. There were more sauce eon the sliders and the rice cakes. I didn't mind but prefer when they weren't as saucy.

Overall a great dining experience and can't wait to go back again!

LOVE Chan! Love how they take traditional Korean favorites and add their own style and flavors. Very fun and tasty :) My Korean mother used to make a soup with rice cakes, which I love. Chan deep fries theirs and its delicious! Their kimchi is excellent as well. Not too salty.

Some interesting Korean-inspired dishes. Some of them bland and some great. The stuffed yubas are a very nice Korean soup with with yubas being sort of tied-up wonton dumplings. Tasty! The seafood scallion pancake was a mushy vegetable/potato pancake with no obvious evidence of seafood that completely disappointed. Braised short ribs were wonderful and made the evening! Wished we had tried the kimchi pork belly which looked and sounded excellent at the neighboring table.

Overall, a nice experience and change of pace for us.

Took a Korean food loving friend to try it. I tend to stay away because always associated Korean food with super "flavorful" Kimchi. I was happily mistaken! They were able to accommodate my unnaturally sensitive palette and I ENJOYED the Bibimbap (sans sauce) - it was delicious. Highly recommend this place, and it's great food :)

Amazing dishes, nice ambiance, great service & fair prices! Try the rice beer ice cream for dessert, sounds strange but was so good! You must have a reservation to get in because tables are limited but it is so worth it!

This was the second time I've been to Chan's for dinner and it did not disappoint. So many different flavors, there is not a bad thing on the menu. They also have an awesome happy hour!!! Get there early or make reservations. Highly recommend checking this place out.

We read that Chan's had some of the best wings in Seattle, and we weren't disappointed. They were crunchy and had spicy/sweet sauce - best wings I've had in a long time. We also had the Ahi appetizer, fried oysters and the pork belly. Everything had great flavor and was presented beautifully.

Arriving a few minutes early for our Fri night 7:45 pm reservation, the place was packed but we were seated immediately. We asked the waitress for recommendations: tasting of 3 house infused Soju, calamari salad, ssam (bigolgi spiced beef lettuce wraps), & spicy pork sliders. We enjoyed all of the food, starting with the calamari salad best, but the spices on the ssam & sliders were so similar, our taste buds were overloaded by the end of the meal. Diversify your order a bit! Service was super attentive, patrons were all happy & having fun, super lively & loud!

Chan is a charming little hole in the wall restaurant that puts a delicious twist on traditional Korean fare. Not too heavy but satisfying before a show at the Moore. We loved the Happy Hour specials that allowed us to try a variety of dishes....each one unique in its flavors and oh so yummy! We will definitely be back again and again! Cozy and trendy without the pretentiousness!

The venue is a small, energetic place where all the staff is in sync to provide an excellent dining experience. The drink menu is very original with unique ingredients. The blackberry whisky sours were a fresh look at a classic cocktail. The food was fantastic. The menu is designed for the people at the table to share the food. the dishes were fresh, spicy and came to the table in a quick and orderly fashion. As soon as we finished sharing one dish, the next one was right there! It was a great time and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

We were excited to try this new place, but was very disappointed by the lack of options for people with dietary restrictions and lack of true Korean flavors. The concept of small dishes is great, but the flavors were not that wonderful as they should be in Korean cuisine.
What was offered as the only gluten free main dish was a blend piece of grilled chicken with rice with no seasoning, and I was embarrassed to have made reservation at this restaurant!

I live here and am always trying to find new places to eat with friends, stumbled upon Chan Seattle on yelp and made a reservation the same day.

Super happy to have found this place! Delicious food, cute little modern spot and great service. Usually we try to avoid overly touristy spots but will def be back and back and back to this place!

Chef knows what he's doing. Unlike some fusion places, which leave your palate a bit confused, this place is unmistakably Korean with interesting and modern interpretations. One of my favorites in Seattle.

We dined outside and between the fountain, view of the wheel and the stars it was quite a romantic scene. Excellent food served in an unhurried but attentive manner. Our waitress gave suggestions, asked for feedback and was generally an excellent server. We will be back! The cocktails are to die for too!

I would've loved to have been able to rate Cha:n a little higher, because the food was yummy and inventive, and the atmosphere in the outdoor seating area was lovely. However, the service was lackluster. Our water had debris floating in it, and when we asked for another glass for that reason, we got another glass of water with debris in it. Our waitress ignored my dining companion when he asked to see the drink menu, and when we did order drinks, they took an exceptionally long time. The staff explained that it was the bartender's first night. It probably wasn't a good idea to start a new bartender at a place with an extensive menu of complicated cocktails on a busy Saturday night. If the service can improve, this could be a great spot.
