This placed CLOSED and didn’t bother to call anyone! Put a stupid sign on the door.
Made the reservation at open table...it was accepted and confirmed... The restaurant has CLOSED PERMA MENTLY!!! WHAT??!! Drove to the location for NO reason.., Eden Prairie location not seats of the Minnetonka closure?? I spoke with them to ask why I couldn’t reach them by phone/ they suggested open table and said the Mika phone had not worked for about a month!
Always a great place for a beer and sandwich. Lots of different sports on the monitors
A nice meal overall. It was a brisk night so we sat in their “porch” area with supplemental heating. Took the chill out of the air. Service was laid-back but attentive; food was bar food. Felt safe.
Always a winner going to Champps. The food is solid, the game was on so that was even better. The best part, I was with my son who's home from college and loves the food.
Overall the experience was average. Service was average. Some advertised beers were not available. Champps is a sports bar not showing local sports. All in all....average.
The food seemed very mediocre.
I understand the current issues of today and limitations for the restaurant.
We arrived and were seated. We waited almost 15 mins to get water. We then put in our order and it took close to 30 mins to get our meals and soda. The taste of food was ok. It was like they warmed it up in the microwave.
We had to ask for our ticket to pay. We have been here before before Covid and service and food, etc was so much better.
Service was slow and challenged, took 20 minutes for someone to take our order, another 20 min to get our food and it came out barely room temperature. The place was maybe at 20% capacity with plenty of servers. I haven’t experienced anything this poor in a very long time.
I have not been to Champps in several years, I remembered the food being much better. We received great service and were able to use a $10 coupon for joining their loyalty club, however, I am not sure that we will be back anytime soon. My husband and I visited on Valentines Day and did their date night special. The margarita flatbread was very tasty but our entrees (sirloin steak and bbq ribs) were less than desirable. My husbands steak was small and overcooked, the ribs were very tough and difficult to eat. The dessert was delicious, strawberry cheesecake, we took it to go.
The chicken on the BBQ chicken salad was undercooked and it took another 15 min to get another meal.
Fun trivia and good food. We loved the mile high icecream pie!!
We were never seated! Our reservation was never fulfilled. We were told it was a 45 minute wait.
Music a bit too loud - meeting with friends we have not seen in a long time.
Just a family night out. Food is always good. Service was a little slow on a night that wasn’t busy.
I like Champps but this is the second time I’ve made a reservation through Open Table at Champps-and they said they did not have my reservation. Not sure where the disconnect is, but I doubt I will use Open Table at Champps again.
Very good service from the waitress. The food was good also. The only issue we had was related to the hostess. We had a reservation for 6:15pm using OpenTable. We were on time for our reservation and our table was not ready. We waited and then I noticed a lot of open tables. I mentioned the open tables to the hostess and she said they were reserved. I reminder her we also had a reservation. She got really mad and sat us at one of the tables almost immediately. She throw the menus down on the table and walked away. It is unfortunately, especially since the food was good and the waitress was great.
Too crowded due to black Friday. Took 35 minutes for the food to arrive. Wife didn’t like the tacos. Menu is pricy.
We were both violently sick that evening and next day.
Great service, everything tasty and on time. We were headed to a concert and were on a time deadline. Champps fit in perfectly and we had a relaxing meal!
Great spot for viewing and conversation. The Chop salad was outstanding!
This was my first time there! The service was good, fast, and nice. The food was great!
Our visit was an early Friday afternoon prior to a typical busy Happy Hour, so the establishment wasn't crowded nor loud. The Host staff gave off an odd vibe upon arrival. Found this unusual.
As an occasional regular, the past few visits have not maintained the expectations previously established. The menu has change recently, and so have the portions.
The Deviled Egg app serves 4 pieces now vs 6 in the past. Even at the Happy Hour pricing of $5 the value is of question. I wouldn’t order again…
The Asian Chicken salad was served with dry overcooked chicken, which couldn’t be eaten, hence not so much an Asian Chicken salad anymore, also wouldn’t order again….
Service was friendly and polite, but timeliness would have help address the food quality issues. The bill was reduced to compensate, but I would have expected a manager to talk with us. Whether the server report our concerns to a manager or not, it appears current operations management has opportunities for improvement.
Operationally, this location seems completely different from our experiences previously in the year, and not in a good way…
Oh, and on the way out of the, of the three employees at the Host stand, not a single
‘Thank you” or “Good bye”. Not only is a first impression important, but so is the last!
Although we would consider returning again, the current management style for this location could use improvement to enhance a better dining experience – from quality, portion sizing to pricing and overall hospitality.
Even after making my reservation with open table. I also called the manager to discuss the reservation and see if we could get a quieter corner for our party. The manager took down all my information and asked if we wanted to be on the patio. I said no, we will want to be inside as I know my parents get cold easily.
Upon arrival I’m informed by the hostess that they have no room for us. I explain I made a reservation online AND I followed up with a call to the manager Lauren. No one offered to get a manager for me to talk to and we were told the only place they could put us was...you guessed it , the patio. My family did ok. My parents were cold food was ok. Tables were sticky. They should have gotten a manager to come. Apologize or something. Won’t be back.
Exactly as expected in service and food. I will be back.
Overall food was very good, however two people ordered the dilemma, and said it tasted okay. Three had fish and chips which were very good. The dilemma, chicken was cooked too long, dry.
The fish was fresh, waffle fries were tasty, and the coleslaw was flavorful.
Our server was very attentive.
Good food but server was less than visible
This is the 1st restaurant I’ve eaten at where salad dressing is not included in the price of a side salad or barbecue sauce for the kids meal chicken fingers. Seems kind of strange
We had very good food with excellent service all around.
Always great service and food! Something for everyone with sports TV
Many years ago, Champps used to be one of our go to places we always enjoyed. There weren't many people in the restaurant and the service was terrible, our burgers and fries/waffle fries were cold and it's just too bad we won't be going back.
Reliable menu. Great burgers and highly recommend the Avocado Tuna Salad. Servers do a great job!
Burger was overdone for what I ordered. Asked for medium rare got medium well.
We went during a very busy time. Made a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes extra for table..I think they are new to reservations and how they work..but they were extremely busy so we didn't mind. Wasnt as long of a wait as it seemed it should have been.
We made reservations online for 7:15pm. When we got there we were not on the list and had to wait almost 40 minutes to get seated. Other then that it was good food.
Food was amazing! Asked for extra pickles and got a little cup worth when I was expected to see just like 3 more.
The Service was very good. Our server was very helpful with recommendations. The food was prepared well and delicious
Food was not great, jambalaya was very greasy, kale salad had a weird taste, server was slow in delivering some beverages, had to ask for refills
Service was terrible. Food has gone down hill
