Lovely holiday decorations and fabulous food choices. Service was great. Sometimes with brunch the wait person does not visit enough but that was not the case. Our glasses were kept full! Nice without having to go downtown.

It just happened that we chose a Sunday where the main dining room was booked for a wedding so we had brunch in a side room, reminiscent of a conference room. The buffet was fabulous as ever but the service was not as attentive as we would have liked.

Overall, the food selection was good. The ambiance was strange being in a banquette hall in lieu of a dining room or dining area. It felt like we were at a wedding instead of an intimate brunch.

When we arrived there was no one at the hostess desk to greet us or seat us so we were a bit confused. We had to ask one of the servers and someone came out and showed us to our table. The food was good and our server was outstanding.

One of the best brunches around. The quality of the food is amazing and there’s a wide selection to choose from. The service is also great. Yes it’s on the expensive side but it’s worth it and you get unlimited champagne.

My husband and I stayed at the Drake for the weekend celebrating our birthdays over the weekend. On Sunday before leaving we attended the champagne brunch. I was very surprised that it is in a banquet room with fold up table and chairs, certainly not the ambience that we were expecting. The food was ok, not horrible but again was disappointed because I was expecting such a lovely experience with it being the Drake. Others have commented but I was surprised with the 20% service charge then additional line for gratuity.

The brunch was moved to a smaller ballroom. Therefore it is not what I am used to for the drake. No natural light come through in the rooms.

I've already given the brunch place top stars in all categories. The hotel setting is grand. The brunch place has access to the super nice patio. Excellent choice of champagne, not too sweet, not too dry, right on the spot. The food selection is great considering it is brunch. Everything tasted fresh and superb. I strongly recommend this place. One thing that bothered me was that based on what I was told, all unconsumed food goes to waste right after the event. Not to any homeless shelter or nursing home but straight to the garbage can. We left at 2:05 pm which was 5 min past the closing time. There were 5 people still at the tables and all trays and pans were full. Just imagining all that in the garbage can gave me pain. Other than that, this is the perfect place for any special event without hustle and bustle.

This was all about service- or the lack of it. Yes it’s a buffet. But honestly no one was at host stand to seat us for over ten minutes. Waitstaff did not want to be there AT ALL. Not just ours- this place was filled with long hanging faces and we were there early at 11 am so it was going to be a long day. But the saving grace was the food was good for a buffet. Had refills and plates been removed it would have been a perfect birthday celebration. Not sure if we’ll come back. The valet service was great- super nice people.

Service from the hostess to the waitstaff was very subpar. Waited over ten minutes for someone to take our drink order. No explanation of the service, no introduction. To make it worse, the tip was added to the bill. 20%???? I never tip 20% on a buffet. Do not go to this place. The food was dry and under seasoned. Very limited selection. NOT WORTH THE MONEY…. Go to McDonalds instead.

If you enjoy the ambiance of the Drake Hotel and the level of Excellence that has sustained the Drake for over 50 years or more, then Don’t come here. 1. Reservations for 4 were mixed up. Two of our guests were seated at another table and we waited 10 minutes to get that corrected 2. The ambiance (on NewYears Day at 11:30 am) for brunch was lacking. The place settings, table coverings, music that was barely audible were disappointing. The room was not pretty - at all. 3. Wait staff that had difficulty speaking and understanding English made for a difficult experience 4. The food was below adequate. Over cooked eggs, dry potatoes, cheap desserts, poor quality fruit, cooks at the omelet station that did not understand English 5. At the prime rib station, an interpreter was brought over when I asked for au jus 6. Hot water for tea service was served luke warm at best - 7. Servers lacked basic training and did not understand English 8. Brunch for 4 exceeded $350.00

The breakfast brunch entrees are incredible. Lunch entrees not so much. A little pricy as I did not eat $65 worth of food but there were endless mamosas which may have driven up the price. A little miffed that 20% gratuity was added to the bill since it was a brunch.

The food was delicious. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I took my daughters and grandkids for a special Christmas treat and they loved it. Afterwards, there was cookie decorating and a visit with Santa. Will definitely go again.

I’ve had Sunday brunch here before and the food was delicious! The meal was served in one of their Grand Ballrooms so the ambience was bright and wonderful. There was even entertainment (a magician) who went around the room doing magic. It was a great experience. None of that happened this time around. The hotel was very busy so the Brunch was in a smaller room, the food was room temp (at best) and not hot. Not very flavorful. No entertainment. Lastly, they tacked on a 20% service charge - which was not posted on your or their websites. And they expected you to tip on top of that. It was me and my guest - 2 people. Sunday Brunch is not a banquet function where service charges or parties of 6-10 people is customary. Not a good experience for the price paid.
