   Unfortunately, a private event was taking place in the next room, so the pipe and drape (in black) slightly ruined the ambiance. However, this was not a deal breaker, as this was not the hotel's fault. While most of the food was good, the fish dish (white fish and shrimp) was overcooked, grainy, and not very warm. The carnitas for the taco preparation were also on the less warm side, which was a turnoff given the fat content of the meat. We would have liked a larger bread/cracker selection for the cheeses and salads. The only option was one basic dinner roll and the pre-toasted (cold) mini bagels for the smoked salmon. There was also no option to make toast for the omelets. Standouts were the cold shrimp, omelet/pasta stations, and the desserts. It really should not be advertised as a "Champagne" brunch when in fact it's sparkling wine out of a screw cap bottle. But, for the fair price, it works. Given that the main dishes are rotated regularly, we would give it another try. The service was very friendly and attentive despite appearing slightly understaffed.

   The food is excellent with a wide variety of choices. I would've been pretty happy eating just the cheesy chorizo potatoes. My son enjoyed the waffles, sausage, fruit, and dessert table, although $65 is a bit steep for an 11-year-old. The service was very attentive, but the atmosphere wasn't very upscale. The buffet is in a ballroom and everyone is seated at folding tables which are nicely decorated. There were a few large groups that treated the space like their own private party rooms, letting children run around unsupervised and encroaching into others' space with their coats, gifts, decorations, etc. That was really the only negative part of the experience, but it was significant.

   Very nice brunch but the noise level was way to high you almost had to yell across the table. There were children running all over bumping into tables. The parents there were not watching their kids at all and the staff tolerated them, kids were also grabbing food from the buffet and dropping it all over the floor.

   The food was great, accommodation for a larger group is great. However, for the price i was Atleast expecting flowers on the table. That might sound weird but i was looking for the elegant feel that the Drake usually offers and that was definitely missing.

   Everything was great had friends from out of town and wanted to impress them. For $300.00 plus dollars we were very excited. Then we were seated and our table was a cheap card table. I was so embarrassed my friend laughed. We had to take turns cutting are food the table would of collapsed. NEVER AGAIN.

   We had a wonderful experience at the Drake. We celebrated our 42nd year anniversary. The food was wonderful. Service was great also to our surprise for our anniversary. They brought a little anniversary dessert which was delicious. Very unexpected.

   Everything was great! Was there for a birthday and upon checking in, I was wished a happy birthday! The buffet was wonderful with selections from eggs benedict to raw oysters and cocktail shrimp. Afterwards the staff brought out a special dessert and sang happy birthday! It certainly made for a wonderful birthday!!
