Absolutely amazing service and food! The new menu is fantastic and so much selection. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was amazing. Service was really good and the menu was well laid with an excellent selection of different foods. The layout and design of the restaurant made us feel like we were in a bigger city. Very nice all I all. We are definitely going to go again in the future!
The food is usually so good, but my Margaritta Pizza was super oily...the oil was literally dripping off of the pizza! My friend had the lobster roll and she said it was delicious!
A nice little restaurant in the downtown area. Excellent food and service was great. Looking forward to my next visit
I took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday. It was a great experience! i wasn't sure what to expect since the naming on the building said "Chamelion Cafe" and at first, i panicked thinking it was too casual. Once we walked in, the ambiance was very romantic. dark lights, candle lit, romantic setting, all the servers looked snazzy and well dressed. Our server was amazing, super friendly, joked a little, very helpful and accommodating whenever possible. The food was superb! i got the filet mignon and it was done perfectly. My boyfriend got the blackended chicken and i tried it and loved it too! we both got a beautiful Italian white wine with our meals and loved it too. My only small item to note was that we went for a late dinner on saturday so the place wasn't busy (loved that!) but about half way through our dinner, they sat a table of 4 chatty women right beside us (when the restaurant was pretty empty in other areas) so the ambiance went from secluded and romantic to intrusive and loud. It's a small thing and it can't really be avoided but i would have preferred seating to be observed and balanced more if it was possible. All in all, i give this place 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone! a hidden gem for sure!
Very enjoyable. Good food, good service, good local BC wine list. Would recommend to others and we will be back.
Love coming here. Will be back! Dawn from Ola Puppy Dog Grooming and Doggie Daycare in Pitt Meadows
We go to Chameleon's quite a few times a year. this time we went and celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary, as usual we had a beautiful time there.
Tonight we shared for an appetizer the Mediterranean board. Dinner we had the Pan Seared Scallops & Prawns and Grilled Striploin. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we definitely will be back
We were the there for a girlfriends bday...the food was delicious as usual and the service was great. Always come for a special occasion...
The food was fantastic and our server Scott was awesome!! His ability to read his tables and know what people need or want was perfect!
It’s a nice place but it’s expensive. The lobster Mac and cheese was really thick and hard to eat. The portion size for the price is not very good.
We loved it! Cozy and classy, excellent food and top notch service! We would very much recommend and will definately be back.
Their menu is back to being more extensive and vegetarian friendly.
Always a wonderful experience with such friendly staff. The food is always fresh and deliciously plated.
Overall, Chameleon is good, not great. Prices are reasonable, compared to what you would pay in downtown Vancouver for the same thing. We were a party of 4 and my dish came out last after the other 3 had been served minutes before. Curiously, the dish was only luke warm, and by the time I finished, practically cold.
Chameleon's is our favorite restaurant in Maple Ridge. The menu is creative and the food presentation is lovely with a high attention to detail. Try their new gin cocktails! Service is outstanding and the staff are pleasant and informative. We will be back!
Food was great, you get what you pay for. Service could have been a little faster. Tables are too close together which took away from the dining experience.
Amazing birthday dinner at Chameleon (1 day early) : Grapefruit Mule, Crab Cakes, Seafood Linguini, Triple Berry Milkshake IPA and a dessert platter! Plus Lisa raved about the Hopcott Farms Strip Loin, Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Crab Cakes - Plus, Tegan was grown up enough to be a rambunctious miniature version of an adult - are we about to be allowed back into fine dining restaurants again? LOL
I chose Chameleon on a whim and I’m glad I did. The food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly! The meal took a bit to prepare but the fresh bread with roasted pepper butter helped fill the gap!
A great place for date night or even a meal out with friends. I will definitely return and would recommend without a doubt!
Great atmosphere and great food, but somewhat pricey.
When we do the theatre, we always have dinner here before we go. The meal is always good, service excellent, it is clean, just a great place to enjoy an upscale dinner within walking distance to The Act. We have such a great time.
Thank you! to everyone at the Chameleon for making our experience so memorable.
It was pretty pricey for what you get. We got an appetizer which amounted to a bit of cheese, a few olives, 4 or 5 slices of meat and a bunch of broken crackers.. for around 30 dollars. Not good value. I’d much sooner go to the Keg honestly...
The dinner rolls came before our cocktails, we
Waiting for 15-20 mins for our drinks.
I order a steak dinner my steak was lukewarm
And veggies were cold, our waitress never asked us
Once how our meal was.
Enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner. Everything was very good
We had heard that Chameleon was an interesting restaurant with good food and cocktails but we were still quite pleasantly surprised at the decor, the ambiance and the food. All excellent. Too bad it's so far away from our house!
As always, Chameleon was outstanding. Love knowing that no matter the occasion, the food, service, and ambiance never falters.
Thanks for another great evening!
Downtown vibe in suburban living
Amazing atmosphere and exceptional drinks
Had the squid and pork belly to start and they were amazing. Only complaint was that mains were under seasons and didn’t have very much Flavour
We frequent your restaurant often this was our first Valentine’s Day. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday though. The entire experience was very disappointing and we left very unsatisfied for a number of reasons. Our waitress was having a hard time managing her tables we sat for 15 mins before we got our drinks. One thing we love is your bread being told your to busy to serve bread makes zero sense other then your looking to maximize profits. The portions sizes were laughable delicious food but felt totally ripped off. Your restraunt was one of our favourite and it was very disappointing to see that you gouged us just cause it was feb 14. We left hungry and disappointed.
After our experience at ‘The Chameleon’ my girlfriend and I said we would’ve never go back to chain restaurants. The Chameleon offers a unique, modern, and welcoming atmosphere that you would come to expect from a fine dining restaurant. Not to mention the outstanding food paired with its great value! Do not hesitate to pay them a visit, you will not disappointed! Keep it up guys, we’ll see you soon!
Loved the atmosphere. Great food, however would have loved to see another seafood or veggie entree and the 2 seater high tables were a bit small
By far the best restaurant in Maple Ridge. Great for special occasions. We went for Valentines Day. They know their wine parings. All in all a great experience.
Outstanding - we go here quite often and have never been disappointed. Excellent food, always. It is quiet and comfortable.
Had a great dinner at Chamelon on Valentine’s Day. We both had the pasta which is some of the best we have had. Passed on the appies this time round from the set menu. The desert “petit four” was great to share. Except being seated right beside the kitchen and staff and customers walking continuously past to go to kitchen and washroom we had a great dining experience. I think a rethink on these seats might be in order.
Our server Scott was phenomenal! Very attentive but gave us space when needed. Food was excellent; couldn’t ask for anything more.
Great food, great service, but this particular evening there was a group sat next to us with one individual that was blowing his nose and snorting CONTINUOUSLY. So loud in fact, the bartender advised she could hear him from a fair distance away and it was distracting to her as well. It was loud, disgusting, inappropriate, and ridiculous. We usually have a great experience but I felt the need to mention this because management should be proactive in dealing with situations like this. Under no circumstance should the responsibility fall onto surrounding patrons who take it upon themselves and ask to be moved.
The only real negative comment about our visit to Chameleon is that it took someone over 20 min after we were seated to ask us if we would like a cocktail or even acknowledge us. After we asked the busgirl if someone could take a drink order we were tended to and our waitress was great. The one waiter who's attention we were trying to get basically ignored us. He definitely knew we had been sitting without a server for a while. The least he could have done was to let us know that he would let our server know we needed service. The food was good and the restaurant has a lively atmosphere and was busy
Service was very good and food was okay but really what I expected. I had a blackened Cajun chicken dish but the chicken was bone in skin on and didn’T seem blackened at all. Was kind of fatty. I would not order that again. Our table for 2 was In the middle of 2 other tables for 2 and way too close so the server offered us a table in the lounge which we took.
Went to the Chameleon on Sat. night with friends and enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese with the roasted beet salad. My husband had the crab cakes which were excellent as well. The menu is limited but care is taken to provide locally sourced, well prepared food.
I didn't care for the spread offered with the premeal bread but that's a small issue.
Overall I would recommend this restaurant for an evening out with your spouse or friends but not for kids.
the lobster roll I had was very good and my friend enjoyed her meal also
Was very happy to find this gem of a restaurant in Maple Ridge. We hardly ever get to that part of the Lower Mainland, and we found the neighborhood, decor, staff, and service quite pleasant. Food was excellent, portions and pricing reasonable considering the higher quality, and we were given a complementary dessert to share for our anniversary without even asking for it. I had the creole chicken and my wife had the beef strip loin. Chameleon manages to create a high quality, fine dining atmosphere while not falling into pretentiousness -- for example, they still have a bar and a TV tastefully positioned. Would definitely come back here with friends another time.
