I went to chameleon for the first time the other night with my sister's to celebrate my birthday. As soon as I arrived the hostess greeted me and wished me a happy birthday. All of the stuff was so friendly. Menu had a lot of selection for myself and for my gluten sensitive family members. The food was delicious and the ambiance was very lovely. At the end of our meal our server brought me a lovely birthday dessert as well as a card from the staff. I have been to many restaurants and there has never been such service for a special event. I was blown away and I would definitely come back.
We had a lovely time there, food was cooked to perfection.
Always enjoy our visits to The Chameleon, staff always top notch. Was a little disappointed by my main course which I have enjoyed in the past, the new chef added Creole butter which was not listed on the menu. However, it was still delicious.
Awesome waiter and very efficient friendly service. Food was fresh and delicious.
Took my husband to dinner. I had been there with a friend. He loved the place. The food was wonderful. The service was a little slow, however, it was a Saturday night and they had a few groups to serve. Our server was delightful and made the experience top notch. The only complaint we have is the music is a little loud and rather than dining music, it was dance music. My husband is a musician and is sensitive to music quality and sound. When doing fine dining, the last thing you want to hear is dance music. Chameleon may want to re think their diner music line up and the noise level.
Amazing. Going back and taking my husband.
Food was good. Came not overly warm so by the time I finished the meal it was a bit cold. But great service and the dessert was great. Will go back again.
Who knew this place even existed in Maple Ridge! The inside is definitely not reflected on the outside. Beautiful interior, modern decor but not too stark.
Nice welcoming greeting at the door. Had reservations & table was ready right away...albeit for 6 people when we only booked for 3. Quick change & it was ready.
Server was friendly & accommodating to the 3 of us who are all on keto meal plans.
Food was really nice, good presentation , fair portion size & value as well.
Where this restaurant does lose marks is in the noise upstairs. I could just make out the conversation from my friend who sat directly across from me but my other friend I barely caught a word unless she really leaned in & upped her volume. Wanted to stay & chat more & have coffee but we decided to get together somewhere else another time. Not sure how the noise is downstairs.
I would definitely return but would be asking for a table on the first floor instead to see how that works.
It was fantastic!!! Our server was very professional. The food was superb.
It was a special occasion and although I let the restaurant know about it ahead of time, there was no mention of it, regular seating given, etc.
The server struggled to answer a question about the cocktail menu, and my drink arrived without one of items mentioned in the cocktail menu.
My fish was fairly dry, which is not great considering the price. Rice was very average. Kind of sticky instead of fluffy.
The ambience in the place is nice but I can do better for a special occasion for sure.
The patio was lovely, the food was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Great lunch for the staff. Sat on upper level & have had multiple lunches/dinners. Always reliable. One of very few classy restaurants in Maple Ridge.
Great restaurant with quality food ingredients. If you’re looking for greasy pub food don’t come here. We had the short ribs, lobster mac, fried chicken, perogies and the crab cakes. All fantastic. The house wine was great as well. Prompt service and elegant ambiance. One of the higher end locations in Maple Ridge. Prices were on par for quality items. I will be going back.
I went on a date here recently and had the best time! The waiter was really friendly and funny. The food was amazing, I highly recommend the Parisian Gnocchi. The lighting is really pretty and it's just a really nice place for a fancy date.
It was my first visit here. I was really impressed with the service and the food we ordered. Lamb chops were perfectly cooked and the blackened chicken dish was so flavourable. I would definitely come back with my friends and family.
My bf and I have been here on several occasions, we were finally able to organize two other couples to join us, they loved it as much as we do
This was a first trip to Chameleon and won't be the last. Wonderful food, great cocktails and enjoyed wine flights with dinner. Good looking restaurant, excellent service and nothing but an enjoyable evening with foodie friends. So nice to not have to drive to Vancouver to get this level of cuisine and atmosphere. Thank you!
Service was slow and inattentive
From the moment we walked through the door we were treated very, very well. Service was top notch, the ambiance makes you feel right at home and the food was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic food! A true hidden gem in Maple Ridge! Scotty, our server, is a true professional - he makes the experience personal and fantastic.
Loved it! Everyone loved their food. Very tasty and elegantly presented. Portions were generous. Gave us a complimentary delicious cheese cake for my brothers 65 birthday. Very specuak place.
Finally a nice restaurant in Maple Ridge! Great food, nice ambiance and first class service. Hard to choose from an imaginative menu and wine list.
The service was good. We liked sitting on the patio. The seating was really cozy and casual but still nice and pretty classy. We were happy that they had some vegan options but we would’ve stayed for supper if there was more variety.
A rare find in Maple Ridge. We had excellent service, and all the food (appetizers, main course, desert) was inventive and really good. It's a plus that it's farm to table. Location is only okay, downtown maple ridge can use some upgrading. Decor is great and the inside ambiance is really up-scale. Price-wise I was surprised that it was reasonable--we had a bottle of wine as well. I'll be going again, whole experience is 5/5.
Absolutely amazing service and food! The new menu is fantastic and so much selection. Can’t wait to go back!
Food was amazing. Service was really good and the menu was well laid with an excellent selection of different foods. The layout and design of the restaurant made us feel like we were in a bigger city. Very nice all I all. We are definitely going to go again in the future!
The food is usually so good, but my Margaritta Pizza was super oily...the oil was literally dripping off of the pizza! My friend had the lobster roll and she said it was delicious!
A nice little restaurant in the downtown area. Excellent food and service was great. Looking forward to my next visit
I took my boyfriend here as a surprise for his birthday. It was a great experience! i wasn't sure what to expect since the naming on the building said "Chamelion Cafe" and at first, i panicked thinking it was too casual. Once we walked in, the ambiance was very romantic. dark lights, candle lit, romantic setting, all the servers looked snazzy and well dressed. Our server was amazing, super friendly, joked a little, very helpful and accommodating whenever possible. The food was superb! i got the filet mignon and it was done perfectly. My boyfriend got the blackended chicken and i tried it and loved it too! we both got a beautiful Italian white wine with our meals and loved it too. My only small item to note was that we went for a late dinner on saturday so the place wasn't busy (loved that!) but about half way through our dinner, they sat a table of 4 chatty women right beside us (when the restaurant was pretty empty in other areas) so the ambiance went from secluded and romantic to intrusive and loud. It's a small thing and it can't really be avoided but i would have preferred seating to be observed and balanced more if it was possible. All in all, i give this place 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone! a hidden gem for sure!
Very enjoyable. Good food, good service, good local BC wine list. Would recommend to others and we will be back.
Love coming here. Will be back! Dawn from Ola Puppy Dog Grooming and Doggie Daycare in Pitt Meadows
We go to Chameleon's quite a few times a year. this time we went and celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary, as usual we had a beautiful time there.
Tonight we shared for an appetizer the Mediterranean board. Dinner we had the Pan Seared Scallops & Prawns and Grilled Striploin. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we definitely will be back
We were the there for a girlfriends bday...the food was delicious as usual and the service was great. Always come for a special occasion...
The food was fantastic and our server Scott was awesome!! His ability to read his tables and know what people need or want was perfect!
It’s a nice place but it’s expensive. The lobster Mac and cheese was really thick and hard to eat. The portion size for the price is not very good.
We loved it! Cozy and classy, excellent food and top notch service! We would very much recommend and will definately be back.
Their menu is back to being more extensive and vegetarian friendly.
Always a wonderful experience with such friendly staff. The food is always fresh and deliciously plated.
Overall, Chameleon is good, not great. Prices are reasonable, compared to what you would pay in downtown Vancouver for the same thing. We were a party of 4 and my dish came out last after the other 3 had been served minutes before. Curiously, the dish was only luke warm, and by the time I finished, practically cold.
Chameleon's is our favorite restaurant in Maple Ridge. The menu is creative and the food presentation is lovely with a high attention to detail. Try their new gin cocktails! Service is outstanding and the staff are pleasant and informative. We will be back!
