Chamberlain's Steak & Chop House Ratings and Reviews
This business dinner was my first experience at Chamberlains and it did not disappoint. From the friendly staff to the excellent food and wine, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very nice upscale and professional experience. We enjoyed prime rib, lamb and salmon and they were all excellent choices.
Chamberlain’s came highly recommended. Was disappointed and wish we would have just eaten at Houston’s or Hillstone. Wine seriously overpriced and we have had everything from Opus One to Heitz over the years. Heitz was priced about right. Server was ok but we ordered our meal and I swear the prime rib my wife had and my filet came out in about 3 minutes. Wife said prime rib was “ok”. My filet was poor quality, asked for medium rare, most of the steak was black and blue and gristle made about half of it un edible. Grits were good and my wife mash potatoes we also good.
We often take our wine home, resturant is required to bag it. Server failed to bring a bag after he snapped up the paid tab...don’t nice restaurants normally leave the ticket that you signed on the table until you leave?? And I left and 18% tip on the total tab (I would normally leave 20%). Would have left 15% if I thought he would forget the wine bag.....So we just corked it and walked out.
We love Bob’s, Capital Grill, Nick and Sams, etc. would not return to Chamberlain’s, I felt like the decor and overall experience was reminiscent of eating at a Steak and Ale.
We've been to the Fish Market a few times, so we thought we'd try out the Chop House. Our waiter Keith was great, he explained the wine and food specials, along with his personal and other customers favorites.. My kids both had filets which came out perfectly cooked and included yukon smashed potatoes... my girlfriend had the filet with peppercorn sauce.. all of them were tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly... I opted for the Sea Bass which was melt in your mouth and moist. It went great with one of our favorite Chards... Ferrari Carrano... even though we were stuffed, we had to have the chocolate cake and coconut cream pie... which are awesome!.. Thanks again to a great dining experience!
BEST STEAKS ND PRIME RIB IN ALL OF DALLAS....UNLIMITED WINE AND BEVERAGE LIST...SALADS COOL, CRISP AND COLORFUL....SUPERIOR SIDES....DESERTS TO DIE FOR....SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING..THEY CATER TO YOUR EVERY DINING WANT AND NEED. IT'S A DINING EXPERIENCE WE TREASURE. KEEPS US COMING BACK EACH MONTH SINCE 1993 !!!
I was there for an anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the food. My waiter Jason was exceptional and We got the chance to meet the owner and head chef and was thoroughly impressed. I also had a gift certificate from 17 years ago that they still honored, great place
Nice setting, wonderful food, and great service but the reason I might not recommend is that the setting and general environment wasn't 'special' enough to warrant the cost. Due primarily to the casual dress of other diners which not sure can be helped. We were dressed for nice occasion and really surprised to see people in casual shirts and jeans, or dresssed to go to a Chili's, sitting down to a dinner where cheapest entree is $28 and a la carte
Absolutely amazing experience! This was our first visit and we will definitely be back when we visit Dallas again. Our server was friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. The wine list was complete, and the food was completely wonderful. Every single bite was an explosion of flavor. Our evening included bison meatball appetizer, filet mignon, 40-day aged ribeye, and brussel sprouts. Yes, even the brussel sprouts were sweet and terrific. Such a fantastic evening.
Wife and I celebrated our 44th Wedding Anniversary. Steak , lobster and Prime rib all cooked to perfection...salad cool, crisp and colorful...unlimited wine and beverage list...superior sides...deserts to die for...Service was Supernatural starting with Jim (The Manager) who greets us at the door and makes us feel like a part of the Chamberlain family...to Ricky (the server) who always caters to your every dining want and need and does so cheerfully..he is THE BEST. It's a dining experience we treasure. Keeps us coming back each month since 1993 !!!!
Another wonderful meal at Chamberlains. Jason made sure everything was perfect...attentive without hovering. He answered questions and made great suggestions. His service should be 6⭐️. We skipped apps and salad. Had two different filets: one with blue cheese butter drizzle and one bone-in filet--it was very flavorful. Shared crispy Brussels sprouts and sautéed mushrooms...both were outstanding and plenty for two. Split key lime pie. Pie was very good but paled compared to the steaks, veggies, and overall service. A very memorable evening and we will be back again and again.
My wife and I have visited Chamberlain's for many of our special occasions (mostly anniversaries...this time it was #25). It has always lived up to our expectations and this visit was no exception. The food and wine was exceptional, and we love the cozy (but busy) atmosphere. For us, there is no better steakhouse in DFW.
