About Chamas do Brazil
Chamas do Brazil, which means “Flames of Brazil,” is an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse. Our special meat roasting method is based on the old gaucho tradition from several centuries ago, known as churrasco. Churrasco was originated in Southern Brazil, where Gauchos (Brazilian Cowboys) pierced different types of meat and grilled them over open flamed pits. The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken to each diner individually right at their table.
A meal typically begins with a trip to our amazing salad bar, which consist of over 60 different items of fresh vegetables, homemade dressings, imported cheeses, cured meat, and etc., along with several hot dishes. We also serve a selection of side dishes at your table. The main course will start when you flip your coaster-sized chip from the red side to the green side, signaling the Gaucho Chefs that you’re ready to be served. To stop the service of meat, flip the chip to the red side.

Chamas do Brazil Ratings and Reviews
Great restaurant. Enjoyed the waiter and service was very good. Service was a little disjointed at the end when trying to order dessert. Instead of taking orders all at once, waiter took order for a few people and then was off, leaving others still wanting to order. Food is really good. It was a little hard to understand some of the meat servers and what they were offering, but it wasn't a problem.
I was very disappointed given all the great reviews. Not busy at 6:45pm on a Saturday night was my first concern. Positives great service and we were able to talk w/friends for a couple of hours. When I pay $129 (not including tip) for two meals and 3 total drinks I expect the food to be great. Meats were very salty and poor quality. Chicken was dry. Based on the reviews I expected the salad bar to be awesome. I had a small portion of spinach salad, it was very good. I didn’t even want to try anything else. Poor quality meat is a turn off as well as watered down drinks. We won’t be back a shame as this was our first Brazilian Steakhouse.
This is the third Brazilian steakhouse I've been to, and it's the fanciest one! They have a large selection at the salad bar that's worth your $25 of all that I've seen so far. And they even sent appetizers instead of serving it at the salad bar. Rodizio is obviously worth it. Went there for my birthday last Sunday and we were thrilled with our experience. We're definitely coming back.
We have eaten at one other Brazilian barbecue in LA which we felt was better quality meat but this was also very good. We ate late in the evening and so some of the meat (the pork tenderloin) was dry. But, for a birthday we had the complimentary cheese cake with flaming liquor poured on top (you do have to pay for the liquor but its was worth it). It was a fun part of the meal. The service was wonderful and we left (the last diners to do so) very satisfied.
The food was delicious. The service was excellent. Our waiter was especially attentive to my 12 year old son who has never eaten at a Brazilian Steakhouse. The pricing was a bit cheaper than other Brazilian steakhouses, but there was no skimping on quality of food. I will return and will recommend to others.
One of the best restaurants I've EVER been to. I've lived in Seattle, San Francisco and Vegas, among other cities with great restaurants and this is at the top of my list. The saled bar was amazing! Smoked salmon, lobster bisque, and seafood salad loaded with scallops and shrimp, imported cheeses. Every item was prepared to perfection. The strolling meat servers served filet mignon, leg of lamb, and a garlic steak that was amazing. The variety was vast. I can't give a higher recommendation for a restaurant. This will definitely be our first pick for a special night out.
Outside presence and front entrance is very nice. Hostess and waiters are friendly and dressed to impress. As we walked to our table I felt as if I was in Golden Coral or a Chinese buffet. Presentation of salad bar and meats were awesome, however I was disappointed in the taste of both. Alcoholic beverage was great! Waiter tried to charge and automatic 18% gratuity for just my husband and myself.
My husband and I went for a romantic Anniversary dinner, dressed very nice and this place was not that type of place. We will not be returning. There is no comparison to Texas de Brazil!
FANTASTIC salad bar and excellent meats.
We used to drive to Addison for our Brazil steakhouse experience (we live in Duncanville). It is nice to know there is a restaurant MUCH closer that is just as good, if not better.
Service staff is EXCELLENT!!!
Food was excellent. Service was great too. However, for meals in this price range, I would have imagined that there would have been a minimal dress code. Also, the restaurant patrons were rather loud. I could hardly hear the music in the background. Surprisingly, there were also a number of families with small children. And, crying babies. It was not the quite romantic meal that I had imagined......
Just a wonderful place to dine. The food is wonderful. The wait staff is incredible. The Gauchos are very good, remembering what temperature and meats the person likes. Just an overall delight. The management staff are always visible making their way around the restaurant making sure everything is turning out great.
It was my first time at Chamas do Brazil, and my sister and I dined there for her birthday. Her friends had previously introduced her to it, or I would have not known where to begin. I was pleasantly surprised at a very unique experience with an amazing assortment of menu items. The wait staff were excellent, and with such good food, I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was a little pricy, so I won't be able to go often. But, it was well worth every penny.
We came here several years ago, when they first opened up and had some quality issues and we weren't impressed... NOW, however, all the issues we had back then are completely gone. The meat was TOP cuts, cooked a wide variety of was SO flavorful, even when we'll done (which usually compromises the tenderness and flavor). Salad bar area had SOOO much stuff it was great! One could stuff themselves on that alone. Everything was absolute top notch, five stars ALL THE WAY!
We usually eat Brazilian food in San Jose, California with my son. This time he came to Texas.
It was every bit as good as California. Love Meat and love their meat. Salad bar was also perfection. I would recommend it to everyone. And it is a descent price at lunch.
