Chamard Vineyards, Farm Winery Bistro
Excellent food, especially the fries. The only complaint is that our table was too close to the kitchen, which increased the temperature and the noise level.
I went with friends to the vineyard and after a wine tasting ate awesome food at the bistro. Everyone enjoyed the meal. From burgers to gourmet chicken to shrimp cocktail to a brunch omelette the food was fantastic!
First time there, great place. Will be back
FOUR GUESTS- TWO LOCAL, TWO FROM DC AREA. ALL FOUR MEALS WERE RATED “EXCELLENT”!
Beautiful setting for this winery/restaurant. The wine tasting was in a rustic modern room and the restaurant was in another lovely room on the other side with the vineyards in view. The food and wines were inventive and delicious. An amazing experience.
Excellent food service and ambiance!!! Loved the farm to table menu!
I found Chamard only recently, but have been going back at least twice a month. They have excellent food, servers and wine, not in any particular order. I am not going to tell you my favorite spot; you will have to find that on your own. But, there are many nooks and crannies to be found. A reservation is a must on most nights. There is outdoor seating, picnic bench areas, deck seating and four other indoor locations. Get on their email list to get the weekend specials and bands.
Never a bad meal and service is always on point and professional.
Perfect night and meal. Our server was the BEST and everything was fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to find another reason to go back!
We went for our 39th wedding anniversary and we had a fabulous lunch.
Great place to meet friends and family. Great service.
I took my niece out to celebrate going back to college. She had never been there before and loved the atmosphere and surroundings. She also enjoyed the food.
Our anniversary dinner was a mixed review.
We were a little disappointed with the duck entree as the duck cooked as requested to medium rare was a little tough.
The swordfish entree was very good as was the octopus carpaccio.
Also, since it was our anniversary and so noted on our reservation, it would have been a nice gesture for the restaurant to recognize our anniversary with a simple Congratulations.
We had a late afternoon dinner before attending the opera...my dining partner had stuffed flounder, and I had pork belly, and both were quite well prepared. We each opted for a glass of the winery's Cab Sauv with our cheese plate appetizer, and it was superb. Our server, Chris, was excellent, as well. Unreservedly recommended.
Excellent place and atmosphere, wines we tasted were excellent. We will definitely be back.
Veal shank was large but half was way over-cooked; sauce good.
We were sat next to a very loud, large group of people but the servers couldn’t help the noise level of the group. They really should have put them in the back and not in the middle of everyone. My date and I had to keep repeating ourselves to hear one another. The food and service was good as usual.
Wonderful little winery!! Good food/ wine and service!
Ate on the terrace and watched the sun set while we drank their delicious Rose. We were a party of four and ordered several appetizers as dinner. The Camembert was the winner but all were delish. Great service. Georgeous view. A beautiful evening.
From the ambience to the friendly and accommodating staff we enjoyed a leisurely summer afternoon in the bistro enjoying great food and drinks overlooking the vineyard. Highly recommended.
Came here with my husband while vacationing nearby. Wine was wonderful - good variety and all delicious. Food was good but not outstanding. Location is picturesque and staff were quite pleasant. Overall worth going.
Great food and service! Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Excellent food, service and locale!!
We always love Chamard for the food and the experience. It’s like driving into the French wine country when you turn into the drive. The food is consistently good and the servers are friendly and professional. The menu is somewhat limited but lots of great options.
The waitress was fantastic. She had a great sense of humor and made our evening even more enjoyable. Our friends from Florida were visiting and they love Chamard and wanted to come again so we take them every year they come up. Chamard's is a wonderful place for great food and excellent service and the wine is awesome.
My friend ordered a Bib salad. Out comes a bowl with a huge pile of lettuce on top. That’s all one could see. Lettuce. She had work her way through this insurmountable amount of green to get to the small chunks of beets at the bottom. We said something to the waitress/hostess and she brought over a plate of beets etc..
My grilled flatbread was very salty. Would not order that again.
Another friend had the grilled cheese and said it was good.
We shared a bottle of Stone Cold. Very good wine.
Went for a wine tasting and then dinner while we were on vacation-Garrett was very friendly during our tasting - it was a lovely night out!
Went for lunch and had a wonderful time. Food was so good and the atmosphere and ambience was so nice.
Until I retired, I worked for a company in Napa for many years. I frequented many vineyards over the years for dinner and wine tasting. I never visited a vineyard in Napa that had the ambiance of Chamard. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at Chamard in Clinton. The Bistro was comfortable and inviting. The food was very good. I felt relaxed and enjoyed myself. Walking the vineyard after and before dinner really created a mood for me and my party. Thanks Chamard. I intend to make frequent visits to this wonderful vineward. Oh did I mention the wines were exceptional. Especially the Cabarnet.
The burger is delicious. How a burger should be - grass fed beef with no antibiotics or hormones!
We went with friends and enjoyed the dinner very much. The fish was very good as was the steak that my husband and I shared. More than enough for the two of us plus a bonus bone for our dog. Dessert was good not great. The wine was also quite good . We have been to Charmard many times, brought friends and will definitely go again.
I would recommend Chamard how ever it was so hot in the dining area and there were black flies everywhere. We had a Black fly in our bottle of wine, they replaced it but with a half empty bottle. However the food was delicious.
Expectations were average but the place exceeded them. We had a wine tasting first with Patrick and he was amazing, charming, informative and entertaining. We then had a meal at the bistro and the octopus was great but the burger was truly spectacular. Definitely one of the top ten burgers I’ve had in my life and don’t get me going on the fries. Loved them! We will be back!
This lunch was to celebrate a birthday, and my girlfriend and I had a lovely experience. The service was excellent, and the food outstanding. My friend had their flatbread with fig and tapenade, and I had their grilled cheese. Both were outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a relaxing, delicious lunch.,
The food was amazing - We had the Sea Bass special and the Gnocci...both were delicious. I had the Clam Chowder for an appetizer that was also delicious! The service was even better than the food - thank you for a great experience. Our server Carianne (sp?) was awesome, she was very attentive and pleasant...Can't wait to go back!
Located within the vineyards is nice - Reminds us of Napa Valley in Connecticut...Nice setting.
However, believe that making Chamard one of the Top 10 went to their head. Prices are much higher than the last visit a few months ago. Lowest price item on menu was a cheese sandwich at $11...Everything else from Eggs Benedict to other sandwiches start at $15 and go up from there. The entrees were all $28 up. We split a small appetizer plate of prosciutto, salami, with three little gherkins and three small bites of pate at $18. A $28 swordfish entrée had a very small, thin, pedestrian piece of fish, same with the $28 capon neither of which was exceptional. We got out for $100 for lunch with NO WINE or dessert! They do not serve either beer or cocktails. This was a Sunday and they might have a less expensive lunch menu during the week. Not likely to return soon.
We had dinner in the tasting room, Superb food, amazing grounds.
We had a fabulous 86th Birthday Celebration for my dad! Everyone had an amazing evening! Thank you,
Nice venue for my wife’s 50th birthday. Food was wonderful.
Lovely vineyard. Fantastic food. Server was wonderful, at the end left us for a long time waiting for the check. Can’t bring outside food. Not a picnic style vineyard. However- we loved it and will return!!
