Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Nothing short of amazing! We have been here three times over the last few years, and this place never disappoints. The service is outstanding! And that is just the beginning. The food is really out of this world, And is the best steakhouse we have ever been to. The food is hot off the spirit and cut right at the table, making it delicious. There are 12 or 13 styles of meat to try during your meal. In addition to that, there is an extensive salad bar with a bunch of delicious items to choose from. At your table you're also serve mashed potatoes some rolls and some fried bananas, which my kids could not get enough hours!
I attended with 4 friends from the gym and cannot say enough positive things about this resteraunt. The service was impeccable. Our side dishes never went more than a minute without being refilled (in almost all cases new sides were delivered before existing were gone). Our water and my iced tea were never empty. The meat servers were extremely friendly and cordial. The food? My goodness. Steakhouse quality beef, exceptionally seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth cuts, all super tender at a reasonable price give it's unlimited amounts! The salad bar is also phenomenal, although I must admit I don't go to a Brazilian Steakhouse to partake in greens. That said it is amazing!! While strips of candied bacon for your salad, large olives and everything is fresh. My only regret? I am told their desserts are equally as amazing but none of us had room even to split one. One of these days I'm going to give them a try. I highly recommend this restaurant. This is my fourth visit now, I first using an Open Table reservation, and I have never been disappointed. One of my favorite all-time restaurants.
Service was spectacular and staff was great with my kids. Often times, other places focus on attending to the adults only. They helped my 10 year old remove and hang his coat. Then helped put it back on. Salad bar was spectacular and very fresh. Meat was cooked to.each of our desire temperatures. Definitely will be back.
Chama Gaucha was this single greatest eating experience of my life. This was actually my second visit. I came with some business colleagues while we were working in Chicago. One is a food connoisseur and recommended it , so we skipped lunch that day and went to Chama Gaucha. The salad bar is amazing with a selection of delicious vegetables, cheeses, and a few meats. The star of the show is the Brazilian cuts of meat that they bring to your table when you flip your card green. The filet mignon is incredible, as is the filet mignon e frango (bacon wrapped filet of beef or chicken) and the fraldinha . The only meat that I did not enjoy was the beef rib, which was not to my liking. Fortunately you get to try everything, and there are plenty of choices that were exquisite.
The service was excellent, except for one thing... when we were ready to go it seemed impossible to get the waiter to bring our check. They cleaned our table and we still sat there until we specifically requested the check. I ranked the service 4 star only because of this (it happened on both visits). Regardless, I will definitely be back.
LOve going there but they need to organize their reservations and walk ins. I made this reservation days earlier and even place a note saying is two adults and two high chairs. We check in 5:50 resv was at 6pm. Of course we waited. 6:15 nothing while others even recent people that walk in get taken care off, people with children and bigger crowds. They said they are finding high chairs. Like really?! You should have already had it set at least 5min prior to reservations. That’s the only reason I’m giving it an eh stars.
My husband and I had been here on a weeknight previously and most recently were there on a Saturday night with another couple who had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before. The food was amazing at both visits. I would definitely return and take guests there. The difference we noted was the ambiance. The noise level was much louder on a Saturday night, which made it somewhat difficult to hear what the wait staff was saying. While we didn't have the same experience at each visit and prefer the quieter weeknight, the food was consistently great and we'll be back!
The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely, however our service was off. We were hurried through our dinner, our waiter not even letting us sit down before taking our drink order. Our dinner was the rush that you expect, however when it came to dessert and the check we were again rushed, not allowing any time to enjoy the dessert and coffee, the waiter standing in front of us the entire time to pay our bill, even though we had just received our dessert. He had split the checks in a very odd way, assuming the two Chinese people at our table were together (they were not). I was paying for mine and my husband's meal in cash, and he took the tip away before I had finished counting to know I had put the right amount down. I understand a busy night, but it made the meal uncomfortable.
We have been at this restaurant once before which was a great experience. Unfortunately this time we felt very rushed even though we were only there for little over an hour. We did not appreciate feeling rushed considering this was my wife's birthday and a date night. Next time we will choose to go elsewhere.
I was there for my birthday and advised the server of this when we got there. But he missed the opportunity at the end. My son was in the bathroom when we ordered and received our desserts. So, the server brought my son's dessert out with Happy Birthday drawn on plate.
Everything was wonderful minus when we came in. We made a reservation for 630. Had to wait about 15 minutes. I asked the girl at the desk several times what was the point of making a reservation if we had to now wait still. She was trying very hard to avoid my question and blow us off. I then sent my husband up to ask and same thing. A group that came in after us got seated. Highly irritated, I walked up again and asked the girl and again she nervously tried to blow me off and avoid giving me a straight answer. A few minutes later we got a table. After that our servers were wonderful, food was amazing. All was good.
We had a large group reserved for 14 people, and had 12 people show up. This was a work-related Christmas party. The table was in a great spot and very cozy for our large group; it was far enough from the high-traffic area, yet close enough to the salad bar. Our server was excellent; he was available at any given moment and fulfilled all of our requests. The meat servers had visited our table more than plenty and offered us more than we could indulge in. Overall, a well-coordinated dining experience for our large group. We all left happy with full bellies, smiles, and desserts to-go. The host gladly took pictures for our large group by the Christmas tree. Fantastic place, better salad bar and higher quality meats than other Brazillian steakhouses I've been to. Definitely will be back and will consider this place for the next party!
We enjoyed our meal at Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse on Christmas Eve. It was busy, but we were seated in a smaller room in the back that was quiet. The meats were excellent and fresh, served quickly and there were more than enough options! We aren't big eaters, so the all-you-can-eat approach wasn't a draw, but the variety was really nice. The salad bar was large, but not exceptional. If I wasn't going to eat meat, I wouldn't order the salad bar as a vegetarian option. This really is a carnivore's delight and there are far better vegetarian options. Fun meal!
