Chefs’ bio Earl Ninsom (Langbaan), the Bangkok, Thailand-born chef and restaurateur, is considered among the most talented chefs in Portland, Oregon. He helms a small empire of nationally acclaimed Thai restaurants, including Langbaan, EEM, Yaowarat, PaaDee, Hat Yai, and Phuket Cafe. Yaowarat, EEM and Langbaan. Kitsanaruk (Langbaan) went to a culinary school in Bangkok, Thailand and spent times at Nahm (World 50 Best restaurants in 2013) and Bo Lan (Asia 50 Best restaurants in 2013), he was the chef de cuisine at Err Urban Rustic Thai in Bangkok before he moved to join Langbaan in 2017 where he is now an executive chef and partner. Chef Nate Limwong (Chalong) was born in Suratthani, a culturally rich area in Southern Thai cuisine known for its fresh seafood. Having worked on three continents (Asia, Australia, and North America), returning and celebrating her roots of Southern Thai cuisine would mean elevating Southern local Thai tastes to the world-class NYC culinary platform. She would like to pioneer and dedicate Chalong as the first Southern Thai-focused restaurant in NYC.
