   Chakna has an excellent variety of dishes and very attentive staff. The next time I visit I will make sure I'm hungrier so I can try a few different things on the menu.

   SOME OF THE BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. I WOULD THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND CHAKNA IN RUNDLE STREET.

   We had a dinner for 6 over a Fringe weekend. The food was amazing. Very authentic. Service was prompt and friendly. The meals were well priced for the quality. Like everywhere, I thought the wines were at the top end of the price range however, being a Fringe Saturday, I expected this. Our only minor negative was that our dirty plates were still on the table half an hour after we had finished. Overall I was very impressed with the experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

   **5-star experience!** A huge thank you to Neetu, the owner, for providing us with exceptional service! The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. We were thoroughly impressed with the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Neetu truly went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was unforgettable.    This was a dreadful experience. The service was absolutely non existent, we waited 20 mins to order and then nothing happened for an hour. No one came to the table to ado if we wanted another drink, explain why there was a delay or even bring the poppadoms we had ordered. We were told eventually when I asked what was going on, “to be patient”! Brilliant. The food was average at best. The constant drum beat of house music also did not make a particularly relaxing environment. Avoid.

   We had high hopes for this new Indian restaurant after a glowing review, but the experience fell short. Service was disorganised—one cocktail sat on the bar for 20 minutes, another was oddly remade mid-process, and food took a while despite the restaurant being only 80% full. Staff seemed overwhelmed yet unproductive, with other diners frustrated enough to return their own glasses to the bar. Drinks arrived inconsistently, and the food was underwhelming, lacking the promised authenticity (the menu seems more fusion). The only standout? The fries in their poutine. Still relatively new (around six months old), so they may need more time to refine their service.

   While the food was decent, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. However, the service was far from acceptable. We chose to sit outside, only to be told there would be no table service – despite the restaurant being almost empty. After ordering drinks, it took over 20 minutes for them to arrive. We decided to move inside, but again, the service was slow. We waited another 20 minutes before anyone even bothered to ask if we wanted to place an order. To make matters worse, we noticed four staff members sitting at a corner table, seemingly uninterested in helping customers. Overall, the experience was disappointing, with subpar service overshadowing the food. It was definitely less than average, and not one I’d recommend.

   Food was nice, decor was odd, some of the staff lacked English skills. No one cleared table when finished or offered desert.

    It was a wonderful experience in Chakna. We got the best customer service after such a long time. We ordered Tandoori veg platter and Chicken seekh kebab and they were the best entrees we had so far in Adelaide. And there is no comparison for their cocktails and mocktails. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you Chakna!!!
