A terrific Thai restaurant will a lovely ambience. The fresh spring rolls were very fresh and crispy as well as delicious. The sauces were extremely savory. The service was efficient and warmly friendly.
The restaurant was delightful. Delicious food, friendly wait staff. Our only suggestion is to not have everything we ordered arrive all at once. Made it difficult to manage everything on the table or to enjoy each course. Pacing of the meal could be much improved.
Food was delicious. Servers were a bit overattentive, because two of our dishes arrived when we had already finished four of them. So sharing didn't really work out. I hate it when servers constantly remove plates before we were quite finished. The food was delicious, but the noise level was uncomfortable. It's new, so give them time to work out the kinks. (We had picked it for proximity to where our senior friends lived, so I doubt we'll be back.)
My first born turned 24 and we celebrated with her sisters even though they're young!! Don't by pass this gem!!
The green curry was wonderful! The eggplants were firm and delicious! We also got a crab spicy noodle plate but found it to be more like pad thai with a handful of crab meat placed on top. It was tasty but slightly disappointing. The noodles were slightly too dry and clumped together a bit but the flavor overall was good.
I just returned from a visit to Chiang Mai, Thailand and the khao soi (curry noodle soup) was as good as any i had in Chiang Mai. If you like Thai food, this is the real thing!
We loved the friendly service and enjoyed the ambience. Sadly, the food left us wishing for more authentic Thai flavors.
This is probably the best Thai restaurant in the East Bay. We had papaya salad and it was OK but the pad Thai was really excellent - not too sweet like at some other Berkeley Thai places and noodles weren't all gummed together. Curry had a thick, creamy sauce that wasn't thickened with cornstarch. Wai staff can get a little frazzled when it gets busy (around 7 p.m.). Can't wait to go back. Be warned - hard to find parking in the area!
The food here is amazing the the space is airy and lends itself to good conversation. My only complaint, and it is minor, is the waiter seemed to not understand us very well. She was perfectly lovely and helpful but perhaps a little bit of a communication issue.
