Chada Thai in Coquitlam, British Columbia enjoys a lot of popularity for its many dishes. This is especially true of its pad thai. It's made with pan-fried rice noodles, egg, chicken, tofu, bean sprouts and green onions and then topped with tamarind sauce and ground peanuts. Another favorite on the menu at Chada Thai is the red curry, which is served with a bell pepper, basil and a bamboo shoot.
If you're in the mood for a seafood dish, try the beef oyster sauce at Chada Thai. It comes with cauliflower and broccoli and is served on a bed of carrots.
We never noticed this little hideaway before, even though we live in the area and pass it frequently. We booked because we saw it on the OpenTable map and wanted somewhere close for lunch. What a find! They quickly filled up but had a little reserved table for us. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were very impressed with the presentation as well. Our spring rolls came like a shrimp cocktail in a cocktail glass, which was fun. The owner spent time talking to us as well, which rounded out the experience. We will definitely be adding this to our rotation of restaurants!
The signature Thai dishes here and truly amazing. The Pad Thai and Green Curry are must-haves!!
Thai Food was excellent! We absolultey loved the Stuffed Chicken wings!
Awesome service, stupendous food and great ambience. Deco was beautiful to see. Tasteful colours. Always here for the pad Thai and papaya salad was the perfect heat.
My friend and I were looking for a good Thai restaurant for dinner before a movie. Chada Thai was highly rated on Open Table and did not disappoint. It was a little hard to find - in a mall in Coquitlam - but was well worth it. It's very popular with locals. We shared the pad thai, green curry, and stuffed chicken wings. Everything was delicious, and the service was friendly and on point. Would highly recommend.
Best Thai food I've had in a long time. The coconut brûlée was yummy! Was fun chipping coconut off the shell which had soaked in the moisture & sweetness from brûlée.
One of the best Thai food I had!
Best Thai food ever, great service by the waitress-Chinese lady and the cooks are authentic Thai!! :-)
Every guest enjoyed....will be back in Summer in our next visit to Coquitlam.
The food was lovely and fresh. Really enjoyed the experience!
However, I found it a little over price! The chicken dish I ordered hardly have any chicken! However, the seafood dish was really good and full of seafood, fair for the price they charge. I also ordered the coconut cream brulee, portion was super small for the price they charge but it tasted very good!
Chada is a tiny restaurant that serves most of their dishes in a more Western style instead of the normal Asian family. style. The small tables make sharing a little difficult. Nevertheless, the food is the real deal. Our party of 4 shared fish cakes, prawn salad, and chicken satays as appies. All were as good as any we've had anywhere. My main, pork in red curry had a beautiful depth and balance with enough heat (7 out of 10) to get my attention. Everyone was happy with their meals with the occasional quibbles about too hot or not hot enough. Overall, I thought this was the best Thai restaurant meal I've had since eating at Issaya in Bangkok last year. The prices are higher than typical Thai restaurants but definitely worth it.
Service and food are "Out of this world". I have been numerous times and have not had any of the desserts but the
"Deep Fried Bananas". They are amazing.
The food and service are good, but it was very cramped and we felt like we were dining with the two tables next to us. We heard all of their conversations and as we were telling each other some funny stories from our day, I am sure they heard ours. Not exactly a great location for Valentine's day or for conversation, but if you are in the mood for Thai in Coquitlam - and it's just about the food, this is the place.
the place is small and not enough space but still cozy. ambiance is good, appetizing wall color. But the food not too good compared to other thai restaurants i've gone to in Vancouver. I had that treo sauce in medium spicy, but it seems like super hot that gave me a bad heartburn for the first time.word of caution: when paying the bill, if you came as a group double check your bill because the gratuity has already been automatically figured in.
The food was very tasty, the waiter was very helpful and friendly. The food was served quickly... We will definitely be going back!!!
Suffers a little from location being in a busy mall where the door opens directly on to traffic and there's always noise and cold air from outside. Tables are very close together. Food is excellent, service fast and efficient, staff friendly and knowledgeable without being in-your-face. I love the background music - when I can hear it. The food will bring me back but I'll try to avoid it early in the evening when it's really busy.
Went for New Year's Eve dinner and were impressed with service and menu choices. Our table for four in the corner was a bit cramped and difficult to get out of once the place filled up, which it did quite quicklly.
Service was friendly and helpful and our waiter able to answer all questions as well as make suggestions. We'll be back.
