We allow a dining time of two hours for a group of two diners and two and a half hours for larger groups during evening hours. If you desire a longer dining time, please call us to arrange.

We had an early 4:30 seating prior to a 7:00 event, my wife and I throughly enjoyed every aspect of meal from start to finish. The good thing was we were the only ones in however the the kinda awkward part was we were the only ones there.
Food, service and atmosphere were great! Went there for brunch and ended up having fish and bubbly. Exceptional on all levels for such a small place. Will be back for sure.

Very friendly, professional service; small room, so not loud from other guests, but many hard surfaces. Food was very good, but not "memorable". A nice, intimate space, hidden away - a really nice experience.

A marvellous experience from beginning to end! The apple tarte tatin with the sabayon is truly magnificent. Finishing recommendation of the Calvados Fremont was a delight.

There is some really good stuff to say about this place, but some spotty aspects too. The quiche, salad and white fish in parchment were all very nice, and the apple tart for dessert was also quite good (defintely a share item - generous and delicious serving).
The mushroom ragout was an epic fail and to be avoided. It made me look up the word ragout to make sure I correctly understood the meaning (I do). What should have been a delicious stewed mixture of mushrooms came devoid of any sauce, seasoning or flavour. Just too finely slice mushroom so bland they seemed as if they had just been steamed without a hint of salt, garlic, or much of anything to enhance their flavour.
The tiny room is quite hot and if you want a private conversation, this is not the right place to go.
Good service - the patio looked like the place to be but was full . Worth checking out, but stay away from the staggeringly disappointing mushroom dish.
The meat item (lamb I think) looked great at the table next to us.
A fantastic meal! The service was outstanding - we ordered champagne by the glass, and they had run out, so they offered us two complimentary glasses of sparkling wine to make up for the travesty of running out of champagne! The oysters were best we've ever tasted - from PEI. The mains are sizeable, filling and delicious. I'm celiac, and they were extremely accommodating... but more importantly, they didn't gluten me! There was no room for dessert unfortunately! The restaurant itself is tiny; however, the patio is fantastic on a summer night - private, tucked away and very quiet for long conversations.
I've wanting to try this restaurant for some time now. Boy, was I not disappointed. It was divine. Food and service was perfection.

Probably the best cuisine in town. Some of the dishes are quite an experience. Try the fish stew and do not miss the special tart made upon request. They deserve a Michelin start; the Guide either didn’t take notice or the opportunity of assessing how good Café Chabrol is.
Chabrol never disappoints...and this time was no exception. My husband I were celebrating our 18th anniversary. It was a fresh and gorgeous day out and the quaint patio was just the right spot to sit, reflect and enjoy the decadent food and bottle of wine. We ordered as we felt like it, never felt rushed and savoured each plate. The oysters were sumptuous, pork liver mouse deliciously rich, and the tartine of cured trout, packed the perfect flavour/texture with each bite. Main courses were also special, with the Ttoro taking gold for the perfect dose of saffron with the sea food, and the braised lamb tasting better than ones from homeland. What a gem of a place, and what unpretentious, and yet solidly knowledgable staff. I will always go back.
It was our first time here and it was very good. We'll definitely go back, which is our no 1. evaluation criteria. It's a bistro with a French menu and winelist. The food was delicious. We dined Al fresco and the setting was superb on a lovely, warm late summer night. It's in a small alley in Yorkville, reminiscent of eating in a European city. Service was very good, but with a small hiccup: after we had our mains, we were left sitting for 15 mins with a clear table and empty wine glasses. Our server was momentarily slammed with some some late diners, but it was frustrating that his empty-handed colleagues chose to continually walk by us rather than at least take a wine order. Not cool in any resto, but particularly one at the higher end of the scale. Thankfully - after we waved someone down - stunning desserts and more very good wine got us back on track. So we'll chalk it up as a hiccup and look forward to going back.
Love this small cozy nook in the middle of busy Yorkville! Great menu; a lot of it adaptable to sharing. The cold summer cucumber soup was rich and refreshing. The kohlrabi salad is definitely shareable and delicious! My main of sautéed mushrooms & cauliflower was the highlight and, judging by some of our neighbours, a popular dish! Very earthy and aromatic! Shared a lovely bottle of Alsatian Pinot Gris. To die for and a must try here is their apple pie with Calvados sabayon! Again, a shareable dish to alleviate the conscience!

Everything was delicious and the service was very attentive. Couldn’t have asked for a better night out. Note: air conditioning is basically nonexistent inside so if it’s hot out, best to reserve a table on the patio.
If you don't like French cuisine don't go. The service is solid but the place is overrated. The oysters were the best for non-seafood restaurant.

I have enjoyed many dinners at Chabrol since they opened ... every visit has been absolutely spectacular ... food, ambience, service ... the patio in the summer is my favorite spot.
Amazing food and even better service!
Chabrol is a very small restaurant hidden down a lane off Yorkville Ave. The location itself makes it seem special and it is. In the summer the size doubles with addition of a patio. The greeting is warm and professional at the same time. The menu is small and hits all the right notes -salads, lamb, vegetarian mushroom ragout, parchment wrapped fish, seafood in broth, gratin vegetables etc. The wine list perfectly matches the food and the waiter was knowledgeable and helpful matching each course. The food is all wonderful, each dish prepared with care in an open, “miniature” kitchen, each presentation special. The apple tart takes 25 min to make from scratch so they ask if you want it at the start, don’t pass it up. It is very special.

Very good - although menu seemed a bit out of season. We went for lunch on a 30 degree day and the mains consisted of offerings such as beef short rib and lamb. Way too heavy for summer and even more so for lunch. Cheese was amazing.
