Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen - Irvine
This is an energetic venue that is reasonably priced and a good place to try something new. The menu offers items not found at most latin/mexican restaurants, and twists on old favorites. Be prepared to find pickled onions in your tacos! A definite contrast to the more family-oriented restaurants in the area, and a nice lively addition to the MarketPlace.
Great tacos! They have an awesome portabella mushroom taco and their margaritas are so strong and delicious! We tried the Cha Cha margarita, the Pineapple Mojito margarita, and the Mango Harbanaro margarita. The chips and salsa are good too.
Service was good but the sweet waitress forgot one of our drink orders so had to wait for that. Also this is a pretty loud restaurant and sitting next to the kitchen door made it worse. Would ask for another table next time.
Otherwise very good food. We had the carne asada, crab and shrimp enchiladas, and 3 tacos.
We had a really great time with our friend from out of town. We food came in good time and the hostess seated us almost right away! only comment was that the side exit door kept opening bringing in a cold breeze.
My wife and I stopped by for lunch. We both had margaritas to get us started. I had the mango and habanero which was absolutely perfect (and not spicy hot). My wife had the Cha Cha’s house special margarita with the grapefruit. It was also great, as I got one little sip. It was not overly tart or sour, just awesome! We had the complimentary tortilla chips with the red and green salsa’s. My favorite was the verde (green), but the rojo (red) was still very good. We both had the 3-taco plate. She had the braised short rib, mushroom, and shrimp tacos, while I had basically the same minus the shrimp, and substituted a fish taco instead. All was accompanied by Spanish rice and black beans. The tacos were each outstanding. The Spanish rice is some of the best I have ever had along with those delicious black beans. We left as Happy Campers! We’ll be back for sure.
Be careful that the weather is suitable to sit outside when you go to Cha Cha's. it was a nice day when we went but very windy and that wasn't conducive to a relaxing luncheon. There was plenty of heaters, but the wind was very annoying and in the restaurant was crowded and loud!
Tasty food, great service
Our waiter was so nice but the food was so medicore.
My friend and I went to Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen today for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. We both ordered the Fresh Seafood Caldo and it was delicious! I also got the blended mojito and I loved it. If you go definitely get the chips guacamole. Our waiter was excellent and the hostess was also very pleasant. I can't wait to go back!
A couple of people recommended I visit Cha Cha for their queso fundido. During the holidays I took advantage of their gift card promotion and got some. For my birthday I took the plunge with my picky kids and hubby. This place was a huge hit for all. We had an amazing server. He was on top of everything. My girls had the bean and cheese burrito and grilled chicken breast (from the salads) with rice with guacamole app. Both kids were happy. Hubby and I shared the delicious queso con chorizo fundido which was amazing. He had the green salsa enchilada while I had the short rib tacos. Again their food is on point and won’t disappoint. For our family -> 8 thumbs up. We will be back.
Monday night buy one entree get one (need to show the online coupon) is such a deal!
The food and the staff were excellent!!
We love cha Cha’s, always great customer service, food is really good.
We always love the food at Cha Cha's and Enchilada Wednesday is a great deal. Enchilada's are half off!! The margaritas are always delicious too!
Always great food and great service
Great food. It was our first time dining and thanks to your email promotion we took advantage of it and thank goodness, we did. Definitely a MUST HAVE on your list if you like pseudo-modern Latin food. The music was on point. The vibe and ambience was perfect. And the delicious food was divine. From the carne asada plate to several tacos and the crab and shrimp enchiladas. Since that was my plate and everyone got to sample—let’s just say that on our next trip everyone will be ordering that dish. The creamy sauce that accompanied the enchiladas was scrumptious. To boot, I tried the Mango Habanero Margarita. En Fuego! Our waiter was cool too. 5 stars for Cha Cha’s Latin Kitchen in Irvine!
Took the wife and kids out
Extremely disappointed in the entire experience.
Great service...great food....
Had the Salmon and Skirt Steak. Steak perfectly cooked medium well and salmon was flavorful and moist with a delicious sauce. Definitely will return.
Date night Monday is such a good deal, yummy food, great ambiance and awesome service!! :)
Totally unacceptable food quality. I was served FROZEN enchillada. Food was not prepared. Fresh. I do not recommend
Good good food and service but very noisy
Love Cha Cha’s - great food and atmosphere!
Food and drinks were just okay
Great food, but it was very loud. First seated right next to band but when requested were moved promptly to the patio, much nicer.
Had a great time!
Food was good, on the spicy side for us. Enjoyed the patio. Server did her job, but wasn't overly friendly.
I'd recommend it.
Yesterday was the first time at ChaCha's Latin Kitchen for lunch....had only been for dinner a few times. The lunch menu is fantastic, the food was delicious and our server (Fernando) was GREAT!!! Thank you for a lovely lunch. I will return soon.
We are new in the area and we are so happy we found this place. The food was amazing and the service was great too. This will be one of our go to places to eat!
We were having a luncheon meeting, and sitting out on the patio proved to be a quiet place for our conversation. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. The place never disappoints.
Patio was dirty & menus were filthy
Back on point big time! Not a single element was off - a great experience
Everything was great!!!
Had a great work lunch and they were able to accommodate a request for a quiet section.
There was one mistake on one order, but was remedied quickly and easily.
Delicious food. Great service. Horrible tortillas (stiff and hard)
ChaCha's consistently delivers a scrumptious and memorable experience. The salmon is one of our absolute favorites. We go to a few seafood restaurants and the salmon at ChaCha's is far superior to any we've had. It's so fresh, cooked perfectly (medium-rare to rare depending on how we order it), and the glaze adds just the right amount of spice, sweetness and savoryness. Amazingly the fish is not just warm but it's actually hot and it really delivers superior flavor. We like the roasted potatoes a great deal but the calabascitas have become our favorite. Our other entree favorite is, of course, the carne asada. It's always perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful, and again, with either the roasted potatoes or the calabascitas, it's an absolutely wonderful dish. We will continue to go to ChaCha's several times a month and hope to be willing to forego either the salmon or the asada so that we can at least try some of the other great-sounding things on the menu. That's always our objective but in the end we almost always find ourselves ordering either the salmon or the asada. The servers are always very friendly and helpful and they go out of their way to make sure we are happy with our meal. We have recommended ChaCha's to at least 10 other couples. All of them were delighted and continue to go back for more.
Our server was amazing. Hope she helps us in the future. Our hearts are still in brea. Thank you irvine
