Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen - Irvine
The food was great, however the service was very slow. Our food came faster than our drinks and when we asked for a refill of chips we got it towards the end of our meal.
Loved the taco tuesday deals!! Guac was a lot spicier than normal but everything else was incredible
Food is okay but not great. Ambience is very nice.
I was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant....rather reminded me of being in a different country like So. Africa where they have many “open air” places. I really like the ambiance & the layout! Fun place to meet up w/friends. The special drinks are quite good & so was the food. I’ll definitely be back
Food is good. Server was great. Front desk girl wasn’t very helpful. Short story is the table they sat us at was tiny. We had plates stacked on each other and stuff on the floor to make room. Would’ve expected more from a reservation.
Friendly and attentive staff!! Pozole Verde was delicious!!!
It was loud, service lagged, they forgot our appetizer, the food was not bad, but not good enough to bring us back. We also had a reservation but had to wait to be seated. Overall, not going back.
Great place for Cinco de Mayo! Service was great and the food was good...
The food is ok here and way too expensive for what it is. We ordered the braised short rib enchilada and salmon which was edible but at $20 a plate level it was not really worth it. We also had a reservation but they seated people ahead of us that came after us and when it came time to order, they serviced people that came after us as well. Honestly, if you want to spend your money more wisely somewhere that’s better I would recommend a different Mexican place where the prices are as high but you are guaranteed better service. I was at Xavier’s, Puesto, and Red O recently and I would rather spend my money there than Cha Cha’s.
Energetic place. Fast service and attentive servers. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty loud.
Great food, great vibe!
It was ok. Loud, although they did warn us sitting inside would be. Food was ok, I mean it was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. Service was a little slow, they were busy. Again, it was ok. Not terrible. Not exceptional.
Food was delicious, noise level was high but created energetic atmosphere. Table next to us spilled over top heavy large margarita then our server knocked my water glass in my lap. Just water so no harm and apology accepted. No compensation was offered. Overall the experience was positive and will come again.
A great place for a happy hour ! Great drinks good good!!
Great food and service! We sat in a secluded corner on the patio which was great for us. It was a little quieter, which was really nice for conversation.
This was my first time at this restaurant. One of our friends arrived late, and the hostess was very good about letting us finish our cocktails at the bar and seating us after our late party arrived. Shrimp tacos were excellent! I only wish you could substitute the rice for veggies or something else without an extra $7 charge.
Food was good but charging 3.00 for a side of jalapeño peppers and 2.50 for a small side of sour cream is a bit much. I don’t re all those charges when you first opened.
I usually don't go to trendy Mexican restaurants where you pay the premium for the ambiance. Since I already have my go-to when it comes to amazing tacos without forking over $10, why even bother right? I guess the exception is when you and your girlfriends feel like celebrating over margaritas, frozen mojitos (Yes! Get this!), and Mexican fare in a beautiful place where you are treated like queens. Enter Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen.
The atmosphere is casual and laid back with a full bar in the middle of the restaurant as well as an open kitchen where you can see the chefs in action through a clear glass from the dining area. I witnessed a mixed bag of young families with children, couples on dates, and big parties like us dining here that night. It was a full house.
Free chips and salsa is always cool to have at these places. I had the Shrimp Ceviche ($13) to eat it with which I regret doing so. It was not good. Period. I did enjoy the Carne Asada ($22) which was cooked perfectly medium and pink in the middle. It was very tasty especially with the chimichurri sauce however, I think it would pair well with their Mexican rice better than the potatoes it came with. I'm still debating between the Crab-Shrimp Enchiladas ($19) and Cha Cha's Flan ($6.5) for the best thing I ate here. Let's just say they both win, how about that?
Excellent place for a meal. Food was delicious and we had 3 staff members ask us how everything was. Some places just ignore you. Service excellent. Will definitely return.
Always great food and terrific service, Blood Orange margarita is awesome,
The food was Mexican fusion.
The ambiance was very nice but it was so noisy from too many people.
Nice place, despite them being busy, out server was attemptive and pleasant. However, the front people didn't seem as friendly. Drinks were great, food was a bit bland, in my opinion.
The drinks were great as well as the food. I highly recommend it.
Great service ( Ana was our waitress)
Great value ( went there on Wedensday night- enchilada night- half price)
Food was delicious . I'm vegetarian and their mushroom enchilada is amazing.
The seafood enchilada very good too.
Very good vibe at the restaurant.
We celebrated our anniversary so we got a free dessert.
We have been here a few times and really have enjoyed the food!
Lunch visit was quiet but dinner is very noisy. Tables are close together also.
We will return for food!
At first i was concerned with how open the restaurant was as it was a cloudy, kind of cool day. We sat though at the table that had the fire pit on it and we were very comfortable. Not to mention the fire just added some ambiance to our lunch. It was a great lunch.
Very nice ambiance and great tasting food. Great service.
Really nice lunch experience. Didnt realize it was taco Tuesday until we got there, so that was a pleasant surprise. Very nice waitress and nice atmosphere
Energetic ambiance .!
The food was too spicy for me. I had the short rib tostada. I couldn't eat it due to the heat level. I tried my dining partners beef taco...too spicy. Then I tried her chicken flauta...too spicy. The water glasses were very small and served without ice. I did enjoy my Caesar salad, and will probably have to stick to salads if I return. The staff was friendly. The noise level was too loud.
We came here to try this place for OC restaurant week! We loved it here! The food was amazing! I had the crab and shrimp enchiladas! I also had the pozole! The dessert is superb! I had the churros and my partner had the tres letches!! The service is good as well! The server that time was very friendly! The ambience was great, the background Latin music was very upbeat and it’s very welcoming!! Def, coming back again!!!
Enjoyed Monday date night although the restaurant only honored 1 voucher BOGO per table!
The grilled mahi mahi was perfectly grilled and moist. The vegetables were tender .
The carne asada dishes was outstanding as well
The tacos were ok
Loved the green salsa and The Traditional Margaritas
Service was robotics
Noise level was high , difficult to have a conversation with friends
Love that they have live music during Sunday brunch. The Restaurant Week meal was stupendous! I'm considering returning to try something else. If not, will def return another time. The live music is what sold me!
Always good. Always consistent. Love it. Would definitely go again.
Great food at this location - one of my regular go to places. First up - margaritas are great — have had enchiladas, carnitas, salmon (out of this world ) and various tacos - always first rate and high quality at a fair price.
Services are friendly / though they are busy and sometimes are extended in their obligations at busy times.
Well worth going ......
Margaritas were awesome!!
First time and I will come again. Great food, great service. Keep up the good work.
Cha Cha’s never fails. Great place for a great margarita and great food.
The restaurant had been a referral and did not fail. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the ambience. I would come again and will recommend to others.
Your staff was very polite and attentive. We didn't have to wait for our server to come by. Several of the wait staff asked how we were doing
