Very good entrees, the 4 of us all had different entrees and would all order it again.
Noticed tables were very close, as the servers carrying trays seemed to have difficult time getting through
them. Noisy place quite full. Over all margaritas were good and food very tasty so would go again but not when looking to have a nice conversation. Didn’t see patio, it was dark outside.
Great tacos! (Except for the shrimp taco; it tasted very fishy.) They put a tastey twist on the traditional versions of tacos you get at most Mexican restaurants. My favorite is the carnitas taco followed closely by the short rib taco. Margaritas are refreshing and they offer small and large sizes. A bit overpriced in general but they do offer daily specials. Seating is cramped. Excellent service!
Great service and atmosphere!! The short rib tacos were phenomenal (a bit spicier than anticipated but I"m not a spicey food person). I will definitely be visiting again.
love this restaurant. Go at least once a month. Enjoy the margaritas and tacos
Had a great time until two boys dressed up as men started harassing our party. Just jerks.
Very loud music - it was late 70's, early 80's American pop music and disco. Atmosphere more like a bar with dancing, but there is no dance floor, in fact tables are close together. At the same time parents allowing preschool children to "make friends" with other children at other tables and go back and forth between tables. Server was great. Food was good enough. But the atmosphere is a turn off. This was a Friday night.
The food was ok but the service was unacceptable. We had to remind the waiter of our order, somehow he forgot. We continually had to flag him down to get any sort of service because he never stopped by to check on our table. In the end it was at 20 minute wait to pay. The food was not good enough to overcome the poor service, we won’t be back.
The food was great & staff were wonderful even with it being quite busy. Went back to the enchilada sampler - seafood enchilada was the best!
Really wanted to love this place. Food was ok. Not crowded during lunch so would be great for business lunch. Not sure what it was but hopefully it was just an off day. Will try again.
Good food, love the music. Everyone has different tacos.
I’ve noticed a decline in quality, flavor, attention to detail. The server was very nice. Sometimes I just see too many people standing around chatting and not paying attention to diners. It’s almost like they take it for granted that people will just come and throw money at them-good service and quality food goes a long way. They need to regaIn their focus.
Drinks were not good and food was okay. Service was great though.
Good food and good atmosphere
we’ve tried a variety of dishes but my favorite is the quesadilla. the chips are warm and taste homemade. the joel gott zin goes well with everything. the specials are great. James is an excellent waiter.
Always love the drinks here and the tortillas with our mussels was phenomenal!
Wonderful dinner out. Very loud but we appreciated the live music. Service was good, even with the restaurant being exceptionally busy, our server was definitely running around a lot between tables but still as attentive as he could be. Didn't catch his name, again it was very busy and loud.
Shrimp and calamari appetizer was delicious and not over-cooked.
Crab and shrimp enchiladas were the highlight of our meal. $19 for two enchiladas is a little pricey, but they were delicious.
Split an order of 6 tacos
-shrimp tacos were nice and light but a little over sauced with the mango salsa
-steak tacos were delicious, spicy, and the pickled onions were a really bright addition.
-short rib tacos were my least favorite of the three we tried, the goat cheese was a little sharp in contrast to the meat.
Overall we were very please with our choice for dinner and we will definitely return.
Live music once again way too loud if you're seated anywhere near the back of the restaurant. Food was a little on the "cold" side.
Disappointed- the service is not what it used to be. The service was very slow and it wasn't busy. The fish was overcooked. There was no music for some time-it started late. Had to wait a long time for food.
Cha Cha's is alway a great place to have an awesome dinner.
Enjoyed it. Food and cha Cha cha margarita were
Delicious. Ryan was an excellent server. Will be back.
Great service, great food, great margaritas. Promptly seated and food order came quickly.
Been here a few times and have enjoyed each one. Not the best spot in town but it is a very solid spot to dine. It is okay for families with kids but more of a date night. Soft live music on the weekend nights. I will be back. I enjoy sitting at the bar and eating but that is me.
Another great experience. The food is great and a wonderful staff. Love the happy hour on Saturday deal.
The noise level and music ruined what should have been a great meal. The food was great but we couldn’t talk.
Always a great experience and exceptional food. Live music Saturday nights!
This place has great food and a very fun feeling!
Our overall experience was quite fun. The music was too loud which made it very difficult to talk with the others at our table of 4. Luckily, we were sitting on the patio. Being inside with the band would have made it impossible to carry on a conversation. Food and service was very good and the margaritas were delicious.
Had a reservation for three. Nice we didn’t have to wait. I sat first while I waited for my friends. Food was flavorful. It was my first visit. I look forward to going back. Would like to try a cocktail next time.
Birthday celebration~ everything was good!
We went because of a buy one get one free dinner coupon. The salad was very fresh, but neither of us were crazy about the seasonings of our entrees.
Great service even when really busy. Fish of the day was a big hit this time around
Our server. Orlando, was fun and provided us with great service!!!
The owner was there too and he too was super friendly.!
Ordered the sopes and they were hard, asked for a steam knife and still to hard... the toppings were good, a bit spicy but edible. Orders a Mezcal Mule and it was ok... also had a veggie taco and had the same toppings as the soles, it wa ok... the homemade tortillas are not the best... lacked flavor. Ordered tres leches cake and flan for dessert and they were actually good... although the cake had a weird refrigerated taste... I’d come back for desserts. Hunny ordered flautas and he could even finish, not authentic Mexican... has weird Ingredients in them... but oh well. Not a must go to place but not too bad...
The music is too loud. Can’t even enjoy dinner and talk.
Loved it except for the loud music. Please consider live band after 9 pm
Fun atmosphere; food was fine. Service good. I had a mango draft beer which tasted like mango! One thing to note, there's no air conditioning. Its very open.
We just love this restaurant. Food is very good,. especially the shrimp taco and the ahi appetizer. Go about once a month.
Second time dining at the Irvine location and I must say that each time it has been a very pleasant experience, the food is amazing and the Margaritas to die for......
Sunday lunch with live music. Great salsas and tacos. Super nice folks who work here.
