About Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen
Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen was recently nominated for Best Mexican Restaurant in Orange County. Using only quality seasonal and organic ingredients, our Latin-inspired menu features spectacular Latin food prepared in a wood-fired oven, and a variety of fresh house made fire-roasted salsas, which hint to the natural and abundant flavor profiles found in every dish.
The same attention to detail carries on to our hand-crafted cocktails; using only fresh-squeezed juices, house-made sour mixes, 100% Blue Agave Tequilas and fresh fruit garnishes for all of our Margaritas. Cha Cha’s House Margarita was named Critics' Choice for the Best Margarita by the Orange County Register.

Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
The service was good, the food was excellent and so we're the drinks. I loved the live music however at times it got so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I specified that when making a reservation and the hostess was aware because she asked who the birthday girl was but they never acknowledged it. They didn't bring out a dessert, candle or even mentioned it. We ordered dessert and expected at least a candle on one of them and nothing....just the bill. It just felt like a friend's dinner without the celebration.
We drove here! Salad and entree served at the same time. Why? What restaurant does this!? Queso sauce for the chips came with the meal! Why? Found a bone in the chicken tacos. Why? Seafood taco was cold. Why? The seafood in the seafood enchiladas tasted too strong. Starting to spoil? Why? Lots of unanswered questions! Loud music. Why?
Awesome experience, our waiter Joseph was attentive and he just knows how to treat people. Stand up guy. The food was beyond what we expected. The tacos tasted authentically Mexican, and the ambiance is energetic (speak up, so your company can hear you), modern, and classy but not snooty.
Everything was excellent, when receiving the bill, was surprised the $10.00 per. Person charge on the bottomless mimosas. Waiter offered us the drinks without explanation of extra charge. I thought it was part of the brunch. Overall, it was a great sunday brunch. Thanks
Love this restaurant. We eat here at least once a month. Love to invite family and friends in join us. We xall this our front porch, as we see friends walk down Birch Street and say hi.
Don has done an amazing job with the staff. Always friendly and very professional.
Thank you for your service.
Food was good, but menu seemed somewhat limited for lunch and pricey. We ordered Nachos to share between the three of us. To our amazement we were served 8 individual chips each layered individually with the ingredients. They were tasty but not what we'd expected. 2 in our party ordered the steak quesadilla which they enjoyed. I had the grilled romaine salad with pepita salad dressing and grilled chicken. It was good, but I kind of wished I'd gotten a taco or quesadilla. The mango iced tea wasn't as flavorful as I thought it sounded. I'm in no rush to go back.
We enjoyed ourselves however we were confused who was are Server was. awe had different people asking us the same thing. We ordered 6 tacos the short rib had barely any meat compared to the overflowing carnitas and fish. For a $1.00 more I was disappointed perhaps use a smaller tortilla so it won’t look skimpy. The churros took a long time to arrive at our table. No cinnamon and they were over cooked. They didn’t have any flavor. We should have gone for the flan. We will definitely be back but will know what not to order.
This is not the best nor authentic Mexican food place, they have meal imitations more in the local style or chef's own versions. However, the ambience is good, great location, OK for a casual gathering, noisy but acceptable for a drink and good excuse to relax in the heart of Downtown Brea.
Immediately greeted with a smile. Restaurant was busy but the entire staff was relaxed, cheerful, and fast! Food and cocktails were fresh and delicious. Something else I noticed - and greatly appreciated (since we sat on the patio) - tables weren't wobbly! Steady as a rock! Every patio I've sat in has wonky tables and it sucks! Ours was perfect.
Also need to comment on how clean everything was. Floors, staff, and bathroom.
Such a great experience!
I am a local Brea resident, and while I have been to chi Chas, 20 times, last time, it was the worst service and food and drink I've ever had.
From having to ask for water 3 different times. The drinks were weak, and syrup. Very disappointed. The food wasnt terrible, but just ok. Its too bad, i like Don the owner. But for being 1/2 price taco night we still spent 70 bucks on dinner.
It's no longer a nice dinner that we can walk to. Too bad.
I absolutely love the fresh watermelon margaritas. Sadly they are seasonal so get one while you can! The food is delicious, I recommend the crab and shrimp enchiladas. The staff is always friendly. Friday and Saturday nights can get a bit loud with the live band but it's all good.
