The food was great. The drinks were good. However I won’t be dining here again because of the noise level. Walking in hurt my ears. I thought my ears would adjust but they didn’t. It was an hour of yelling across the booth to have a conversation with people a foot and half away. Halfway through we gave up and ate our food mostly in silence. We ended up leaving and chatting over coffee at another restaurant nearby afterwards. I will add the service was good but we were celebrating a special occasion and just couldn’t have a conversation.
The main reason I chose to go to this restaurant with my husband on Friday night was that I had been to Cha Cha's Latin Kitchen with some friends a few times before and I really like that area of Brea. However that night, my drink was truly mediocre, my food was so so and the service was slow. Our waitress was pleasant though. I don't think I would make a special trip to go back to this particular restaurant again, but I would definitely visit the area and try some of the other restaurants in the area soon.
Great place with amazing food and excellent service!
Good food. Sangria was really good. Noise and music level a bit on the loud side.
My favorite was the short ribs enchiladas and the my favorite margarita was the ChaChas grapefruit Margarita. Our waitress Maria was very attentive.
Fabulous and such great service! Our server was very attentive and honest about each possible selection. She went through the entire menu with us as well! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Delicious!
This was the second time I dined at the place. The first time around, the food was prepared perfectly with the right amount of seasoning. This time, the seasoning was over done - my guess was being a Friday evening,a large crowd, the kitchen must have been very busy.
So my suggestion is done at this place on an off-day - the food will be much better!!!
Taco Tuesday is awesome.
Love Cha Chas! I have been here before and the food and staff are amazing!
Good service! Food was very tasty!
This is my go to taco Tuesday place. The watermelon margarita is back!
A little noisy
Went for Sunday brunch, music, food, ambiance was perfect loud. Sangria delicious!! Definitely coming back
Love the food and service. It can be very loud inside making conversation hard at times. If weather is good, you may want to sit on the patio if you want a quieter environment
Food and drinks were great. Wish our waitress was a little friendlier but that was the only complaint!
It’s always a fun experience at Cha Cha’s! Food is great and the service is always attentive.
Tried several menu items and liked them all. We'll return!
Food is fantastic but the room is crowded. The tables are too close and there is too much noise. You can feel the sound bouncing off the walls.
Not enough servers with so many tables on a Sunday morning. We waited a lot between chips, entrees and dessert. We had to keep asking for refills and other items.
Always a good time at Cha Chas’s whether for date night, friends get together or just to have a drink. 😉
This was our first time to Cha Cha' and we went for OC Restaurant Week. The 3-course, $30 dinner seemed like a great deal. The apps (flautas and agua chile) were fantastic. Big portions and very fresh. Wife got the salmon. It was a big filet and was vary flavorful. I got the carnitas (which is my go-to when trying a new "Mexican" restaurant) and they came out looking pretty charred. There were some fatty chunks in there and they tasted burnt. The fish-bowl margaritas were big and tasty, but very weak. The band was setting up as we finished, but seemed to be taking a little too long as the 4 year old was getting ansty.
Honestly, I was disappointed as I'd heard some great things about Cha Cha's and was left underwhelmed. We most likely will not be returning.
Love this place. Our default for a Friday or Saturday night, or really any night that ends in "y". Mango habanero margaritas hit the right note of sweet and spicy. Asada and carnitas never disappoint. We rarely sit in the main dining room- the covered patio is a great space with heaters when the weather turns chilly, and the bar has a good number of tables.
Service would be a 5 star but I don't know why they didn't schedule enough services before noon on a brunch schedule. Our server was overbooked, she did her best and was very attentive, but management should probably make sure there are enough workers. The place is always packed, no reason to be short handed. Everyting else was terrific!
Inside is definitely loud with the live music, but the patio is quieter for conversation. Food was amazing! Absolutely recommend the Carne Asada without hesitation!
Sat on the patio and it nice. They closed the plastic shades to keep the heat in so it was a little louder than normal, but not too bad. Server disappeared and I couldn’t get a refill for way too long. Food was as expected, no complaints.
The service and food were terrific as always. Their margaritas are OUTSTANDING!
The only drawback is that it's really noisy so it makes it difficult to have a conversation
Omg! I’m am really not into foo foo Mexican cuisine but I must say the food here was absolutely delicious! Perfect amount of seasoning. Food was hot and presented beautifully. Service is wonderful as well. We will definitely be back.
Great Food, Great Live Music, DELICIOUS MARGARITA!! must try their ChaCha Margarita! Great Service!!
We just got married and didnt have a honey moon so this was perfect..Thanks we are grateful
We had a great time celebrating Valentine’s day. The food was good, and the mojitos were on point. I always enjoy having dinner at Cha Cha’s. Until next time. 🤗
Extremely good food with outstanding service !!
Great tastes. Different takes. Not your usual Mexican fare.
Convenient to Brea Theaters with easy FREE parking options. NOISE LEVELS are Extreme to the Extent that you nearly have to Shout to be heard across the table inside on a Saturday Night.
Fun time double dating!
The service was good, the food was excellent and so we're the drinks. I loved the live music however at times it got so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I specified that when making a reservation and the hostess was aware because she asked who the birthday girl was but they never acknowledged it. They didn't bring out a dessert, candle or even mentioned it. We ordered dessert and expected at least a candle on one of them and nothing....just the bill. It just felt like a friend's dinner without the celebration.
Felt rushed, Dinners served to soon. Did not get to finish salad. Never got requested second drink. Server kept asking about dessert after we requested check. OK but would want different server next time. Sat outside away from inside noise,
We love this place, it’s our go-to for date night
We drove here! Salad and entree served at the same time. Why? What restaurant does this!? Queso sauce for the chips came with the meal! Why? Found a bone in the chicken tacos. Why? Seafood taco was cold. Why? The seafood in the seafood enchiladas tasted too strong. Starting to spoil? Why? Lots of unanswered questions! Loud music. Why?
Food was tasty and service was great!
Birthday nothing special acknowledge by server
