This was our first time to Cha Cha' and we went for OC Restaurant Week. The 3-course, $30 dinner seemed like a great deal. The apps (flautas and agua chile) were fantastic. Big portions and very fresh. Wife got the salmon. It was a big filet and was vary flavorful. I got the carnitas (which is my go-to when trying a new "Mexican" restaurant) and they came out looking pretty charred. There were some fatty chunks in there and they tasted burnt. The fish-bowl margaritas were big and tasty, but very weak. The band was setting up as we finished, but seemed to be taking a little too long as the 4 year old was getting ansty.
Honestly, I was disappointed as I'd heard some great things about Cha Cha's and was left underwhelmed. We most likely will not be returning.
Service would be a 5 star but I don't know why they didn't schedule enough services before noon on a brunch schedule. Our server was overbooked, she did her best and was very attentive, but management should probably make sure there are enough workers. The place is always packed, no reason to be short handed. Everyting else was terrific!
Inside is definitely loud with the live music, but the patio is quieter for conversation. Food was amazing! Absolutely recommend the Carne Asada without hesitation!
Sat on the patio and it nice. They closed the plastic shades to keep the heat in so it was a little louder than normal, but not too bad. Server disappeared and I couldn’t get a refill for way too long. Food was as expected, no complaints.
Omg! I’m am really not into foo foo Mexican cuisine but I must say the food here was absolutely delicious! Perfect amount of seasoning. Food was hot and presented beautifully. Service is wonderful as well. We will definitely be back.
Great Food, Great Live Music, DELICIOUS MARGARITA!! must try their ChaCha Margarita! Great Service!!
We just got married and didnt have a honey moon so this was perfect..Thanks we are grateful
We had a great time celebrating Valentine’s day. The food was good, and the mojitos were on point. I always enjoy having dinner at Cha Cha’s. Until next time. 🤗
Extremely good food with outstanding service !!
Convenient to Brea Theaters with easy FREE parking options. NOISE LEVELS are Extreme to the Extent that you nearly have to Shout to be heard across the table inside on a Saturday Night.
Fun time double dating!
The service was good, the food was excellent and so we're the drinks. I loved the live music however at times it got so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. We were there to celebrate a birthday and I specified that when making a reservation and the hostess was aware because she asked who the birthday girl was but they never acknowledged it. They didn't bring out a dessert, candle or even mentioned it. We ordered dessert and expected at least a candle on one of them and nothing....just the bill. It just felt like a friend's dinner without the celebration.
Felt rushed, Dinners served to soon. Did not get to finish salad. Never got requested second drink. Server kept asking about dessert after we requested check. OK but would want different server next time. Sat outside away from inside noise,
We love this place, it’s our go-to for date night
We drove here! Salad and entree served at the same time. Why? What restaurant does this!? Queso sauce for the chips came with the meal! Why? Found a bone in the chicken tacos. Why? Seafood taco was cold. Why? The seafood in the seafood enchiladas tasted too strong. Starting to spoil? Why? Lots of unanswered questions! Loud music. Why?
Food was tasty and service was great!
Birthday nothing special acknowledge by server
Staff is rude. Use to be a regular - but for the price, it's not worth the rudeness of the waiters.
Awesome experience, our waiter Joseph was attentive and he just knows how to treat people. Stand up guy. The food was beyond what we expected. The tacos tasted authentically Mexican, and the ambiance is energetic (speak up, so your company can hear you), modern, and classy but not snooty.
This restaurant was recommended by a friend. The food was very good, great service and the lunch experience was perfect.
Everything was excellent, when receiving the bill, was surprised the $10.00 per. Person charge on the bottomless mimosas. Waiter offered us the drinks without explanation of extra charge. I thought it was part of the brunch. Overall, it was a great sunday brunch. Thanks
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal at Cha Cha. Our server, Briton, made very helpful suggestions as it was our first visit. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back.
Always love coming here! Good food, drinks and service!
Wouldn't return for food.
Would return for drinks
Came here with family for wife's birthday. Good food, good drinks, good & quick service. Would come here again.
Love this restaurant. We eat here at least once a month. Love to invite family and friends in join us. We xall this our front porch, as we see friends walk down Birch Street and say hi.
Don has done an amazing job with the staff. Always friendly and very professional.
Thank you for your service.
Nice to relax and sit outside and people watch while enjoying amazing food and sangria!
Our family's favorite Brea restaurant Been going there for years.
One of my very favorite places. The food is great and the Carne Asada is the best around. The staff is always friendly and quick. Get a seat on the patio and watch all the people walking by !
Great food and service!
Sunday Brunch has live music which was awesome. We ate in the patio as we were there with friends so we wanted to have a spot where it wasn’t as loud.
Food was good, but menu seemed somewhat limited for lunch and pricey. We ordered Nachos to share between the three of us. To our amazement we were served 8 individual chips each layered individually with the ingredients. They were tasty but not what we'd expected. 2 in our party ordered the steak quesadilla which they enjoyed. I had the grilled romaine salad with pepita salad dressing and grilled chicken. It was good, but I kind of wished I'd gotten a taco or quesadilla. The mango iced tea wasn't as flavorful as I thought it sounded. I'm in no rush to go back.
Great food and outstanding service. We have eaten at Cha chas several times and have never been disappointed.
Was disappointed with the lobster tacos. Would have been better without a batter. Rice that arrived with it was cold .
Dined on Taco Tuesday. Plenty of chips and salsa. 6 tacos for $13. 6 was plenty enough for me and my wife to share.
We enjoyed our dinner very much, celebrating our anniversary. We did sit outside because it was very loud in the restraunt. The food was delicious and the service was great!
We enjoyed ourselves however we were confused who was are Server was. awe had different people asking us the same thing. We ordered 6 tacos the short rib had barely any meat compared to the overflowing carnitas and fish. For a $1.00 more I was disappointed perhaps use a smaller tortilla so it won’t look skimpy. The churros took a long time to arrive at our table. No cinnamon and they were over cooked. They didn’t have any flavor. We should have gone for the flan. We will definitely be back but will know what not to order.
Food and drinks are always great here the services is always a hit or miss.
Richie was our waiter. He is such a wonderful young man. The drinks, food and ambiance amazing. We would definitely come back soon.
This is not the best nor authentic Mexican food place, they have meal imitations more in the local style or chef's own versions. However, the ambience is good, great location, OK for a casual gathering, noisy but acceptable for a drink and good excuse to relax in the heart of Downtown Brea.
