C'est Si Bon! Bistro+Vins
We had such a cozy evening at C’est Si Bon! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for cozy ambiance and being whisked away for a few hours to France! You have to try their wine flight that they personally choose for you (for only $28/person) that matches every course that is brought to you, they kept coming and the owner is very personable and sells everything so nicely! There’s only like 7 tables on the whole place so it’s very cozy, French music which was great song after great song the while evening! I’m ready to go back already!
Excellent services. Friendly staff.
Food is delicious.
Price is very reasonable
C'est Si Bon is a lovely restaurant. Delicious food and ambiance...very French. We enjoyed our evening. The food, service and wine was excellent. We love this place.
Loved it! Friendly service and amazing wines. We shared a couple of small plates and they were delicious! The salad was so fresh.
As always, C'est Si Bon delivers wonderful food and fantastic wine, with class and smiles. Thank you, John!
Beautiful delicious food, great pricing and portions, wonderful service and ambience
Such a wonderful experience. This is our go to dinner when we are in Portland. Make a reservation for earlier in the evening so you can enjoy a great conversation with the owner/sommelier/server.
A great place for a romantic dinner. Feels like being in Paris. Food excellent. Wines amazing.
This was our first visit here and it was very nice. The restaurant is quite small with about 8 or 10 tables and a few seats at the bar. The menu is brief but with enough to find something one likes. The food is very nicely prepared and presented... its tastes wonderful. The owner was present and served our wine with much knowledge and thought. For a small venue this is quaint and enjoyable. I recommend a try.
This is our favorite restaurant in Portland. Service and good are always incredible.
Our FAVORITE date place!!!
We asked for wine to accompany our meal and was given fabulous pairings. The evening was lovely.
We very much enjoyed our dinner. The staff and owner were helpful.
Maybe a beef dish on the menu would be nice.
All of the entries were great.
Great service. Yummy food! The environment was nice and friendly. Perfect for a date night out.
Awesome service and great food!
Amazing food. Very innovative menu. You will not be disappointed.
This is about the best bistro in Portland. John is a trained sommelier who travels to Europe at least annually. They have a great selection wines and bubbly and excellent food in a nice atmosphere. If you eat like i tend to with a different wine for every course it costs a bit. I end up spending about $150 a person when there. Never stops me from going back though. If one ate and drank sensibly I suppose it would be less but I've never tried it.
Everything about our dinner for four on Saturday evening was elegant, friendly, relaxing, fun and delicious. Paul explained each dish - 6 appetisers and four, highly different entrees make it simple task to decide what to explore at this particular time. The house wines options are excellent and well synchronized with the menu items. Duck and scallops entrees were as tasty as their descriptions, and we all were smart enough - learnt from previous visits - to save space for the amazing meyer lemon creme crepe dessert, complemented with an excellent port.
The efficient and unobtrusive service included two tenor, acapella renditions of opera by one of our wait staff! Another happy and satisfied visit to a restaurant to which we're already planning our next visit. And street parking within a block only added to our delightful experience at C'est si Bon! Bistro...
This place never disappoints! John and staff are the best. Our favorite restaurant!
This is a charming restaurant. The food and wine are excellent. For wonderful French cuisine, the value is surprisingly affordable. The owner and staff are most gracious and this really contributes to the joy of dining here.
great restaurant, small feel, awesome food and good prices.
We take advantage of the knowledable and talented staff to make recommendations on the menu and especially the wine pairings!! Always a treat and a memorable evening!
This small and lively bistro style restaurant. John, the proprietor, it an active part of running everything and is very diligent about interacting with every table. He has spent quite a bit of time and has family in France, so he gives the whole restaurant a very authentic feel. The food and wine are all very good, and a good value. The tables are small and close together, so you may end up chatting with the table next to you. There is also bar seating, which was very lively the night we were there. The open kitchen in the back is really part of the restaurant. The walls are painted dark, again contributing to the small and intimate feeling. But the food is wonderful. So, get ready for a lively, fun night with great food. I highly recommend this place.
Great food and service as always! Thanks John
Great food, excellent service, and just fun night out!
Food wasn’t anything spectacular. Decent, but not particularly memorable.
Love this place. My go-to for an intimate French dinner for date night.
One of the top ten best meals of my life.
From the ambiance to the service to the inventiveness and quality of the food, this place hit all the right notes.
A friend and I went there on a ladies' weekend, and reserved a seat at the bar on a Saturday night. There are fewer than ten tables, so reservations are a must. The decor is intimate and eclectic and tasteful, the music is low enough to be a comfortable background and cool enough to want to listen, and they project scenic silent movies on one wall.
The owner, John, gave every table personalized service, explaining each item on the menu. My friend and I opted to share two starters, two mains, and two desserts. John paired wines for each. Everything was plated beautifully, and tasted magnificent. The style was French but the ingredients were innovative - like duck breast with date mole, and crepes with meyer lemon compote. Be sure and order a side of bread so you can soak up the sauce.
Food and service always good. Please put the duck confit back on the menu. It is to die for!
Fantastic restaurant. Fantastic service. John the owner is like the MC. He lets you sample the wine before you buy, Explains what the menu is like, And makes sure everything is good. Great ambiance, great food, good value.
It feels like you are in a Parisian brasserie when you go to C'est si bon, I love it!
We had dinner with friends last Saturday night and had a wonderful, delicious meal at C'est si Bon. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. Everyone enjoyed it very much!
Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Small and intimate, it really feels like a neighborhood bistro in Paris. John does everything and treats everyone like family; his staff follow his example. Food is carefully prepared and served. The Meyers lemon creme crepe berry coulis is a must. Our no. 1 restaurant in Portland, period.
Portland has a few exceptional choices for French cuisine. After experiencing each, we return time and again to the comfort and ease of the perfect French dining experience at C’est Si Bon! The composition and curation of the prix fixe, from the creative palette of flavors to the exceptional wine pairings, is a journey that leaves you satisfied beyond expectation. The atmosphere is comfortable while also being secretive, romantic, and chic. The staff welcome you like their favorite visitor, like someone who has discovered a rare and valuable secret.
I recommend C’est Si Bon to anyone!
Delightful! The cheese bonbons were a taste of France
A very personalized and comfortable dining experience. Great wine values.
Delicious food. So fresh and very well prepared. Knowledgeable staff. We've been before and we'll definitely be going again.
We love C'est Si Bon! When it is not busy, the service is stellar (which is the only reason for taking off one star). The food was amazing and the wines that were suggested were fabulous. And when we were one of two tables, I could not have asked for better service anywhere. When it filled up, it took awhile to get another glass of wine and pay our bill, but the staff realized it and apologized. We will definitely go back!
This is the second time we have dined at C'est Se Bon! The experience was absolutely delightful. The service is extremely attentive without being intrusive. We love the French food and ambiance. Wine advice was spot on. With a party of four we each ordered a main dish and the pasta dish to share for the table. Portions are reasonably sized and priced for the excellent quality.
