C'est Si Bon! Bistro+Vins
Amazing experience! Quaint, well constructed menu, great flavor profiles. A must for white burgundy lovers.
We have been enjoying the fabulous Portland restaurant scene for the past 40 years, and this is my favorite restaurant in Portland. It reminds me very much of some of the wonderful, small places in Paris. The owner is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The wine list is amazing for such a small intimate place. The owner is very knowledgeable regarding his wines by the glass or bottle. The wines by the glass are all excellent. Sometimes we don't bring a bottle or order a bottle, we just cruise through the available glass-pours. It's fun to do that when I am confident everything we order will be good. That goes for the food too. The menu is small, but literally every item is good to excellent. We have been there over a dozen times, and we have NEVER had a negative food experience. This is a real gem. We can't always get a table, but when we do, we are guaranteed it will be a treat!
This is my 3rd time having dinner and, once again, it was fabulous. The owner is welcoming and knowledgeable. The menu offers a great variety that is wonderfully prepared and reasonably priced. Hidden gem!
Delicious food prepared and served by people who take the time to interact with customers and help guide menu selections. Relatively quiet setting, which is a godsend given the frenetic levels of noise throughout Portland restaurants these days. Interesting wine list with reasonable prices.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. The food was fabulous, the wines extraordinary, the service attentive but not overbearing, the ambience lovely. Can't say enough good things about this gem of a restuarant.
The food was wonderful and service was prompt. The owner was engaging. I will definitely be back.
ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING MEALS I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME. LOTS OF PERSONAL ATTENTION AND THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT MADE SURE TO MAKE US FEEL WELCOME AND APPRECIATED.
Delicious food and amazing service in a lively and cozy space. Bold flavors in food and great wine options. Perfect for a fun evening out!
Small and quaint bistro. We had an early seating and chose the fixed price four course meal with wine pairing. The food and service were excellent, but the wine pairing made it extraordinary. A little pricey but very reasonable for Fine dining.
Always a pleasure over a number of visits. Outstanding wine list and guidance from the host. Wonderful French-inspired food.
Simply perfection. Amazing food, wonderful service, romantic atmosphere. I can't believe that this place is still under the radar in Portland. One of our favorites!
Great tasting menu and wine pairing! Nice find across the river.
Bravo! From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. My wife and I had the 4 course wine food pairing dinner. It was amazing. The chef is very gifted at crafting a true French meal. The staff were very knowledgeable and caring. This is what service is should be.
Thank you and we will be back!

Every dish was really really good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I had the most incredible meal here. My waiter was personable and genuinely cared whether I enjoyed my meal. He worked through personal recommendations on wine and my menu. Everything was delicious. The persimmon salad: perfection.
I'd go back all the time if I lived in Portland. If you're in the fence, don't hesitate, just go! You'll be thrilled you did.
John has an encyclopedic knowledge of wine which he gladly shares. The entrees are divine! This place is a real gem.
Such a European dinner, small but cute. Food was great, the wine was excellent and the service was outstanding. Planning to dine there again.
Everything about our dining experience was incredible! We loved our interactions with the staff and the wonderful meal and wines. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a special dining experience.
C'est Se Bon is fast becoming our favorite Portland restaurant. The food is delicious and imaginative as well as being very nicely presented. Our waitperson made the evening a delight without being overbearing in the slightest. We had a lovely evening and look forward to a return visit.
Destination dining! Drove from Seattle for dinner. They made a birthday celebration extra special. Outstanding food and staff.
We have dined at C’est Si Bon several times. We are never disappointed. Delicious food, personal attention of the owner, John, and one of the best wine selections in town make this a perfect date night experience or intimate setting for friends. Note their current space is small so groups over 6 might be too snug.
I would definitely recommend Cest Si non -The food is so amazing and the owner is incredibly knowledgeable about wines and serves them at very reasonable prices. But it is truly all about the food and everything we had there was outstanding. The owner does a very nice job of coming to the table and telling you all about the food - his enthusiasm and knowledge makethe evening that much more enjoyable.
A great place for dinner.
Our experience was perfect. The level of service was exceptional. A special nod to John, whose expertise and knowledge of wines was particularly appreciated. His recommendations of what to order to share among three persons were spot on. The food was representative of France and perfectly prepared. The vibe was Portland, not France - neither praise nor criticism, just an observation. Overall, delightful and highly recommended.
Best Customer service we had in the portland area and we have been to several top restaurants in portland. Food was great, John the owner was very nice and authentic. The place was cozy and energetic. Overall Fun experience we will be back.
Fabulous food and wine expert service
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Unbelievable food and service. We will definitely keep coming back.
It was one of those meals that one talks about for days. Quite the culinary experience from salad to desert.
This is always a place we take friends from.out of town. The owner, John makes our evening perfect from his wine paring suggestions with his wonderfully prepared food. I cannot wait to go back. I wish he would open a second restaurant on the westside!
Great little place! Will definitely become a favorite of ours. First off, the service is friendly, attentive and awesome! The wine is very good, and they have a great expertise with it. The food is expertly prepared and very very good. I had the duck confit and it was fantastic. Don't miss the cheese bon bon, it is wonderful. The painted hills steak was cooked to perfection, the kale salad a winner! Loved it all. It was a tiny place, so a little tight but added to the quaintness. Great for a date night or dinner with friends!
Fabulous small neighborhood gem. Only eight tables but excellent food, staff, service. Prix fixe meal was fabulous with wonderful portions and great value with wine pairing. We’re definitely going to come back.
C'est Si Bon is a wonderful and intimate dining experience, with outstanding food and some of the best wine selections we've ever had. Host/owner John is fun, charming, helpful and loves his customers.
Second visit, better than ever. Owner and wine expert runs the front of this intimate restaurant. Small but efficient kitchen turns out innovative and tasty dishes using fresh and local seasonal items. Wines are unique and many are sourced from personal relationships with the owner.
Fabulous as always! John & staff are the best!
Wonderful staff, food and wine! Highly recommend!
The host is very friendly and very knowledgable. Food was excellent. We will be back.
Food is consistently excellent over several visits over past 2 years. Advice on wine is unfailingly good.
I’ve ONLY had great meals here. Been a half dozen times and the place delivers everyone. The service is friendly, attentive, personal, but professional.
Of all the French restaurants in the Portland metro I would say they are in the top tier.
Excellent food. Good value for the quality. Personal service from the owner, who is very knowledgeable about the food and good wine pairings. Small space, but no pressure to turnover tables. Very much a French bistro. A hidden gem.
