dinner options are outstanding. fried duck salad did not contain a lot of duck meat. alcoholic drinks are expensive.
Ambiance is nice. We sat outside- lovely. Inside of restaurant looks beautiful too. Our waiter was attentive and didn’t rush us. Our dinners didn’t take too long to come. The food was good. Portions are a bit small. This would be fine if dinners came with a side salad or bread. We were surprised that no bread was provided. Baguette bread would be a wonderful addition!
Dinner was spectacular..very nice ambiance . .great, sttentive service!!
Gary was our server, known him a long time, and the best and most proficient server in Lancaster!
Excellent service, atmosphere and food!
First, Michael K was an amazing server! He thoughtfully put in the kids' pizzas in first, which we very much appreciated. The kids (9 & 11) devoured their meat lovers & margherita pizzas and ate much more than they normally do probably because it was so good. My husband's BLT croissant was one of the best BLT's we've ever had with generous, crunchy bacon in every bite. (We trade meals halfway through so we each can try more!) I didn't want to get a food coma and ordered a Lemon Street cocktail and the Telstar Tuna Poke - both of which were light, fresh and just right. The stacked poke presentation was cute! We can't comment on the noise level really because we sat outside. Overall, a lovely Saturday lunch - we will definitely be back to c'est la vie!
Great food! Will definitely return for supper! Also like to try lunch.
The food is not consistent. On one visit I had the salmon and it was a small, 1" sliver. On my recent visit my friend had a very large piece of salmon. The desserts were described with amazing words, but when presented were not the freshest and were rather simple, compared to their descriptions.
Our server, Michael, was outstanding. The food was excellent as well. We will definitely return to c’est la vie!
Our server was great and the food was delicious
We were very much looking to dinner at this restaurant and we’re hoping to live it but it left us disappointed.
They were out of the two items in the menu we were looking forward to, CoQ au Vin and Duck Cassoulet. I ordered the gaspacho which was in dire need of seasoning and my husband had the Tuna Poke…the rice was al dente!
I then had the vegetarian risotto which was also pretty tasteless and my husband had the Coquilles St-Jacques…the sauce was tasty but the scallops undercooked.
The saving grace was the desserts…delicious vanilla Crème Brûlée and Coconut ice cream.
Our waiter was very gracious and brought us an extra dessert to taste.
That being said, not sure I’d go back or recommend.
Seated right away then waited 15 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge we were there. Never introduced himself. Food arrived cold, not even lukewarm. Sent food back, my husbands food was warm mine not much different. Portions were tiny. We usually bring 1/2 our food home for another meal, we left hungry. Cool atmosphere, not terribly noisy. Not worth the $$$ by any means.
Food was meh. Certainly not worth the price. Waitress was great! Ambience was good. Very loud inside, to be expected. Asked to sit at one of the open tables outside (unable to request online when we booked the reservation) we were told no. The couple beside us told us they asked 1 hour before we got there and they were told no as well, yet both tables remained open for almost the entirety of our meal. The restaurant has no children's menu and they were uncertain if they had any booster seats. Will not be returning
Very impressed. Perfect for dining with out of town guests
Could not have been better.
Our server Casey was excellent as was the food. Thank you.
Love the ambiance and service here. You always feel taken care of, and of course the food is delicious. A nice menu with enough variety for a multi-course dinner or a light bite. Love the huge open windows, great on a balmy September night.
It was good
Everything sounded wonderful on paper but was mediocre in reality. Undercooked fries in dryest poutine I've ever eaten; thick American scallops not the subtle coquille st jacques; a bland undercooked risotto; etc. So disappointing and un-French.
That said, the interior design is stunning. Mix of old-school European glamour with modern accoutrements.
Love this place! Highly recommend!
Our third visit. Great drinks and nice ambience. Service is top-notch. Food was inconsistent. Roasted cauliflower was ice cold and soggy. It was replaced but not different. Veal tenderloin was fantastic but polenta was dry, cold, and nearly tasteless. Salad was great as was onion soup. Previously food had been better.
The food was not up to standards. No one at our table enjoyed their main course. Appetizers, cocktails, and dessert were enjoyable. There are many other options located close by that are much better.
Excellent service and ambience. Very welcoming environment, with outstanding food. The scallops were delicious and the baked Brie appetizer was very good.
My first visit and it was a delight! My dining companion and I each had a significant cocktail. The were delicious! The baked Brie appetizer was beautifully presented. My coquilles saint jacques and his coq au vin were piping hot from the kitchen and wonderful!
I look forward to a return visit soon.
Loved our dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. After dinner we had drinks downstairs. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Mother Daughter Date.
1:30 reservation, seated at 1:45 received our 1st drink at 2:20
Placed an appetizer order, waited 30 minutes for it. The server never came back. He wasn’t who delivered our drinks or our appetizer. We asked another server to get ours and he still never came back. Demanded someone take our order and then he finally came to check on us. He apologized for not being able to keep up.
My family and I took my parents out for their birgthdays, and C'est la Vie was oerfect in every way. We sat outside and loved the energy of being right outside Central Market. The food and service was enjoyed by all ages 16-74 :)
Amazing in every respect!!!!
Great location and service was very good, but I wasn't that impressed with the food.
Always always delicious! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely love this place!
We love C’est la Vie and appreciate their ongoing effort to make great dining during Covid available! The pizzas we tried yesterday were great, especially the sweet corn bechamel. Our server, Michael, was the best!
Sat outside for lunch, plenty of space, food was timed well, tasted great and service was good as well.
lovely fall evening outside under the umbrellas with delish food and good service
I love this restaurant but this was my favorite meal there yet. We had mussels, lobster pasta, and veal
Delicious food and beverages, great ambiance and service.
Great service . Michael… sax player outside made it even more special !
As always our experience was absolutely wonderful! They never disappoint.
It was a very good atmosphere! The food was very good and decently priced. Everything came out the way we ordered it and both the server and the busboy made the guest feel welcomed and valued! My friend that I came with said they will definitely be back as will I! Great job!
The food is tasty, moderately priced, and the outdoor dining I love. It makes me feel I am on vacation!
Our waiter, Michael, was wonderful’
