Always a pleasure dinning at Cerulean! Service was wonderful and sushi was delicious.
Great food and very good service. We will definitely return!
It’s always good
I would still recommend Cerulean, but my husband and I really miss the old menu. I like the bento boxes for lunch, but would prefer they original menu for dinner. I've let several friends know about the bento boxes all day long change. Several expressed disappointment and said they'd probably only go for lunch since the dinner menu changed. Really miss several of the appetizers that were on the previous dinner menu too. But overall, still a good place for dinner - especially sushi!
Great food! Bar a little slow, but over all great service. We will be back
Sushi was awesome and the French press coffee was outstanding
The food was good as always. Service was a bit slow We’re glad they are open all day now with no shut down between lunch and dinner.
Jen S was an absolutely wonderful and helpful waitress who gave great menu recommendations.
The food at Cerulean was fabulous as usual! Service was slower than usual. We still had a great time.
Duck fried rice was too salty.
Sushi and crab cakes were good.
The food is delicious!!!! The service is amazing!!!! The price is a bit high but you deserve to pamper yourself from time to time. Definitely worth going to!!!!
It had been a couple of years since we had been to Cerulean. I was certainly a huge fan of their former menu, prior to going full sushi style.
Service was fantastic, the staff are friendly and very attentive. I had a couple of sushi rolls, and while they were not bad, they were certainly far from amazing. At the price, I expected significantly better. Portions are small, but that was to be expected. I found just an overall lack of flavor in the two rolls (dragon roll and a spicy tuna, if I recall correctly)...sadly I would rate them on par with a roll you could buy at a nicer grocery store.
My wife did enjoy her bento-box with duck fried rice. She was nice enough to share a taste, and it was certainly enjoyable.
Overall, while I found our visit a bit lacking...It's not a bad place. We eventually might return, but I'll pass on the rolls and try something else.
Delicious food, slow service, yet wonderfully accommodating staff .
Service was abysmal, slow, incomplete, places were not cleared of plates, etc.
Also, sashimi order was very odd, included cooked shrimp, smoked salmon, only half of it was real sashimi
Always great to come back to an old friend when in town! Love this place!
Great service, great food! The menu is not your norm, just outstanding. We will return to try something different. Really enjoyed the menu!
Although the food and drinks, along with the atmosphere and service was great, everyone at our table was alarmed when our server did not card us when requesting alcohol. Although we were legal (just barely) this concerned me very much, especially being a server myself.
This restaurant closes very early, 9 o’clock on a Saturday night. The feeling is they want you out at that time. It is a cool location and the food is good, but they need to work on making it a more relaxing enjoyable restaurant.
We got seated in a strange corner where it was oddly isolated - couldn't see another customer all night. The food/presentation was nothing special at all - especially for the price. Service and drinks were pretty good though.
This was our first time back to Cerulean since its rebirth. I was a little skeptical, but I was very pleased with the menu, the choices and the quality. I had the steamed pork belly bun and it was outstanding. I also had the panic chicken Bento box and it was great. The crafted cocktails are also very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Dinner with spouse. Excellent service. Warm and friendly ambiance. Great food. Wonderful and relaxing evening.
It was fun to try out the new menu offerings. Our server Abbey was especially nice and we enjoyed the dinner.
Great place to each. We enjoy the sushi rolls and unique menu.
We had Dan B for a server and he was fantastic. The service was great the food was perfect and the ambiance was was relaxed and fitting. We had prompted service, and everything the server Recommended was delicious. I highly recommend this place. My wife and I had never been here before and I planned the whole date as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. I was nervous not knowing the restaurant but I figured why not. It was a perfect evening, for dessert our waiter even brought out an ice cream with a candle. He did it quietly and my wife was so happy because it was such a nice gesture. I could go on but just go and experience it for yourself!
I absolutely love Ceruleans. One of my favorite restaurants in Warsaw. Make reservations though or you may have to wait 5 or 10 minutes. (I'm not patient). You can order on line. Seriously, they have the best food ever.
This restaurant offers a unique dining experience because it serves food in a bento box which is common for Japanese cuisine. You pick your entree ( I’ve had both chicken entrees and the shrimp which are served over rice were wonderful) , then 3 sides. I had the edamame which was ok, but the Brussels sprouts and the orange, almond ginger salad were excellent. The Asian noodles are great too. The menu is listed on their website. The prices are very reasonable. I understand their sushi offerings are super too.You may eat with chop sticks or a fork. The goat cheese cheesecake and the chocolate praline crunch are not big desserts, but delicious and cap off a unique night of dining. You should make reservations.
I am a local and totally love this place. Earlier this week, I had a lunch reservation for myself and my parents. We were greeted at the door by an employee who held the door open for us! I took us a little while to be seated even with a reservation. I attributed this to the fact that the restaurant had just reopened from several days off around the holidays and it was pretty busy both inside the restaurant as was the host taking phone calls from carry out orders. Typically, with a reservation, I am seated promptly.
We were seated out of the enclosed porch—one of my favorite places in the restaurant. The sun was shining, people were walking and jogging by (even on a colder winter day) and the noise level was fairly quiet for how many people were on the porch. Eventually, as we dined, many people left just leaving us and one other couple on the porch.
I ordered Light Rail coffee (light roast), Shitake Mushroom steak bun, and the Salmon bento with chorizo potato salad, sweet orange and almond mix, and the brussel sprouts. Everything was great! My dad also ordered the Tempura Abi sushi roll, Panko chicken bento with sides. My mom ordered the salmon bento with sides also.
We were pleased with everything we ordered and our service! If you have never been to Cerulean: please go! It is a gem!
The food is always delicious at Cerulean. However, we were disappointed in the service this visit. We received our appetizers and our entrees before our drinks were ready. We ended up canceling the drinks due to the massive delay.
The restaurant has changed and not all for the better. We waited 30 min past our reservation time. The seating set up was very crowded and chairs were uncomfortable. When I asked for a sweet champagne I was told “we don’t have that option for a glass, sorry”. When I did order a drink it took awhile and the waitress apologized and said it would be on the house. But when she brought it out it was not in the appropriate glass. She said “sorry we did not have the appropriate glass available for this drink.” It was not at all like what we had experienced in the past at this restaurant. The dessert and coffee were delicious and the prices were low. But I would rather pay more for better service and bettter menu items.
This place used to be a fine dining establishment. They changed the menu and are now pretty much just sushi and weird hipster stuff, like cheeseburger bento boxes. That might be all fine and good, except that they kept their fine dining prices while significantly dropping the quality of the food.
Our experience was severely lacking from the start. We were finally seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. We then waited another 10 minutes before anyone brought us water and greeted us. Then another 10 minutes for one drink. Then another 5 for the second. The server didn't really seem to know what was going on at any time, having to go ask about the most basic things, especially about drinks, even the featured wines of the evening.
It was NYE, so we ordered the special, which was only available if everyone at the table got it. It was okay, not great. All together, I would have paid about $55 for the food, not the $55 per person we were charged for an Applebee's-quality salad, a decent beet dish, a potato dish so overloaded with garlic that my wife couldn't eat it, fried chicken that would have been terribly dry were it not for the sauces and butter (yes, butter) provided for it, and a white chocolate bread pudding that was just okay. It was served "family style" and definitely more on par with our local Mennonite establishments than what we had come to expect from this place in the ten years or so we had been patronizing it.
After the meal, we were offered no coffee, just "So, you want your check?" from the waitress. Essentially, for three people, we paid nearly $200 for a meal that, other than drinks, we could have gotten at The Blue Gate or Essenhaus. We won't be coming back here.
The new menu is a miss. I preferred their old menu options. No more duck confit or charcuterie boards. Bento boxes for dinner had too many cold side dishes.
Food was great, but our drinks too forever.
This is a classy restaurant and in the past the staff boxed uneaten parts of the meal into attractive plastic boxes. This time however, the remainder of my meal was put in a cardboard box which made the food unappetizing.
New menus were torn and the price increase seemed more drastic than necessary.
Presentation is always outstanding but no lying the thinly sliced tuna did not cover up the small portion size (3oz?)
We have been here every year for the past 5 years when our friends get together after Christmas. The food is always delicious and fresh and the menu has a good variety of options. It did not disappoint! The service has always been excellent but unfortunately this time it was a bit slow. We will continue to come back and am excited to see how they continue to grow over time!
Outstanding, every time! We are never disappointed when we come to Cerulean!
Brought the team for our Christmas luncheon .
The food is excellent as always very fresh .
Service is slow so we could not stay for coffee and dessert.
Overall it is an excellent place to dine !
Yummy as always!
Wonderful restaurant to celebrate any event. Our holiday dinner was relaxing and special for each of us.
We made reservations to celebrate our 42nd anniversary. When we arrived, there was champagne waiting for us at our table! A beautiful touch!
