CT's 100% Italian-focused wine list showcases a sophisticated yet approachable variety, with more than 200 selections available by the bottle and 20 by the glass. Additionally, the craft cocktail program highlights both classics and house specialty cocktails. The bar opens daily at 5pm.
If you go for the food and the ambiance, it's a great place. However, the service was not at pair with the food or the fine dining experience you would expect from such a place.
Appetizers arrived before our drinks, we had to ask for the plates, because they weren't there. I order a glass of wine after when I order the entree and the wine arrived when I was done with my dish, so I sent it back.
Finally, dessert took 20 minutes to be served and was also sent back (the waiter claims he warned us that dessert was made to order, which I don't remember, but I am positive he didn't say that it was going to take a full 20 minutes to be served). If only had I know that, I wouldn't have ordered it.
To make up for the long wait, the manager offered limoncello to my wife and me, which was a nice gesture.
no review, but there's hardly a restaurant in chicago i'd rather go to * pastas are always ALWAYS superior, and al dente's just the start of it: the ingredients, the finesse, etc * typically monteverde gets the props, but i'd take this place any day!

Food was very uneven. The mussels were exceptionally salty, the rabbit pasta was exceptionally peppery. The bruschetta the waiter recommended was perfect--the flavors were balanced and delightful. the grouper was bland.

Excellent contemporary Italian restaurant. Easily compares to anything in the Fulton Market or River North areas. The specialty bread is not to be missed.
The interior is classy and cozy, comfy upholstered love seats in the bar area. The wait staff very nice. The food was awesome and not too pricey! Overall I thought it was terrific! Also lots of drink choices!
After theater dinner. Nice menu with great options. Good wine list took way to long for order to be taken & wine arrived after food served. He was extremely pleasant & working hard just too much for one person. Also after dinner it was pouring rain so had after dinner drink at bar. Staff was hanging around bar service station. Very loud & foul language. Really bad.
Great early dinner on a Sunday. We're very accommodating to our kids too. Great location. Great interior. Nice outdoor area on the sidewalk too.
Food was absolutely awful. The Crostini served with the Burrata was old - Tasting of old oil and the broccolini tasted like it was left over from a couple days ago. The scampi also taste at all. It really really really really bad experience
Great pizza and a very good service!
Very attentive waiter and the food was delicious. They offer most of their pastas in two sizes, and opting for the smaller size is the perfect amount for one person. No leftovers and you don't feel overly stuffed.
The Branzino was excellent. Portions are small though.
It would be so much nicer if there was warm outdoor patio lighting, instead of the cold/uneven lighting on the sidewalk. Otherwise it’s great
Although Ceres Table is in a great location and looks appealing, the value is not there for the food. My pasta was delicious, but I paid $27 for a large portion that was more of a medium size. For 2 people, we spent $95 for an app, rose, 1 small pasta dish, and 1 large pasta dish.
Hi You ordered the Lobster Risotto, it is an expensive product to work with and given the cost and quality of the lobster, the mushrooms and the product we use to make the stock, it is going to be on the pricey side. Our "large" is 6oz of pasta which is a substantial portion and is certainly entree sized. You could have received a small (3oz) portion in error and if so, I would be happy to make it up to you. We had our anniversary dinner here and the service and food were excellent. It was such a great experience we look forward to going back!
The food at Cere’s Table was wonderful! We started with a margherita pizza and the roasted beets with Pistachio pesto. Very tasty! Pizzas are great to share. We all had the smaller portion of the pasta dishes as our entree and a side of the Brussel sprouts. The guanciale and Pecorino added a nice salty crunch to the Brussels. The Pasta dishes were fabulous as well. Especially the Gigli Alla Norma, Duck Carbonara, Orchiette with Kale Pesto, and the Tagliatelle Bolognese. Our server, Mark, was so helpful and just a delightful person that was very knowledgeable of the wines and the menu. It was my husband’s birthday, and they were so kind to end our evening with chocolate gelato and limoncello. We will definitely return to try even more yummy things on the menu!!
We went at a slower hour. The restaurant is very attractive inside. Do not take outdoor seating. Very cramped and crowded sidewalk. Pedestrians and car traffic very high and very close. Prices are very high. Husbands drink was $18 plus they charged $1 extra for a splash of soda. $146 for two people. When we asked for the check waitress dropped it off and then disappeared. I probably would never go back because there are restaurants just as good that are not so pricey and where parking is not a challenge.
The risotto tasted and had the texture of rice-a-roni but we loved the drinks and had a wonderful server!

Fantastic from start to finish! Our server was the best, made great suggestions and was patient with our many questions. The food was beyond delicious; wonderful aromatic flavors in every bite of every dish.
We had the Brussels sprouts (OMG), calamari and rockfish, white fungi pizza to start (I was full right there). Next came out entree’s: branzino x2, pasta with squid ink and crab, pasta with duck bacon.... each dish was prepared beautifully and had a unique blend of flavor. We’ll definitely be back often. Can’t believe we were first timers!
We were celebrating a birthday and we’re looking to taste a bit of everything on their well stocked menu. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, and ensured we always had everything we needed.
I would definitely recommend Ceres’ Table to anyone with a special occasion coming up.

I love this restaurant a lot, the food was great, the wine was great, the service wAs awesome and friendly. The only problem which was a big deal, it was soooo warm and we sat in a place we didnt like to sit in it but the waitress insist on us to sit in there. I really love this place and would hate to stop going there for this issue which I think it can be solved.

The Branzini was waaay overpriced. Very good, but a bit too salty. The eggplant pasta was very disappointing. The gigli pasta was doughy and hardly cooked (aldente is one thing; but these were actually tough!). Sauce was tasty, but only a few tiny pieces of eggplant throughout. I should have sent it back.
We spent over $100 and will never come back.

Hi Susan We're very sorry to read how disappointed you were with your experience at CT. Had you alerted us to the salt issue, we would have gladly remade your dishes. As a note, the eggplant in the gigli is primarily blended into the sauce rather than in pieces. We're sorry you didn't feel the Branzino was a good value. It is the lowest gross profit item on our menu as our 1.25 to 1.5lb whole Sea Bass are flown in from Europe and are quite costly to us too. We hope to make it up to you.
Not sure about a reco at this point. Used to love this place, but my husband ordered their signature pasta and it was terrible. Overcooked and gummy. Sauce was mediocre at best. Our waiter was very good and attentive, however it took us a long time to get grated cheese for the pasta. We sat outdoors, so ambience was not an issue. Seems that Ceres table has fallen off a bit. The whole roasted branzino was, however, very good, as was the salad it was served with.

The food was awesome, but the service was almost non-existent. Seems like they only had one waiter who was also working as the host. I saw a pregnant women waiting for a very long time to be seated when there was plenty of empty tables. The bartender looked like he was the hardest working guy in the place. Need to hire more people.
Hi Olivia You caught us on a busier night than we anticipated. We had much greater walk in traffic than normal and for a bit we were understaffed. Estimating walkins vs reservations is not an exact science and sometimes we underestimate in error. Sadly we could not address the demand in real time and service was delayed. For this we apologize. We hope we can make it up to you on the next visit. Reservations are strongly recommended, although we gladly accept walkins as well.

We had a very good experience for a business meal with a large group. Service was excellent and food was very good. Appetizers were particularly good. Special requests were easily accommodated. We would return.

Food and service was good. Waiter was great at giving recommendations. The desert of the ricotta dohnuts was the only disappointment. They were dry, and the cooked pear in the middle wasn't good either.
