Always great food and drinks !
The best! Our family loves the restaurant
Excellent food and service, i would have rated higher but the hosts were terrible and ignored reservation requests. Kitchen is slow and sadly unpredictable as to timing so our food came out at vastly different times which lessened the experience 9we were only two so shouldn’t be hard to hold until both meals are ready?
We had around an hour and a half before a theater performance. We let out waitress know. We were not rushed - we had cocktails, an appetizer. Entrees and dessert. Our waitress was great. She was knowledgeable. Guided us through cocktails and food. The food was delicious. Preparation and presentation were great.
We’ve been dining at Cere’s Table since they were on Clark Street and always look forward to their interesting menu.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Cere's Table with our son and his girlfriend who live nearby. Both are foodies; she trained as a chef. Cere's Table was their recommendation. It was perfect! The food was delicious. The service was genial. The cocktails were beautifully presented as well as great tasting--not too sweet. We ordered many things---arancini, crostini, salad with basil crumbs, a couple of pizzas, mushroom risotto, pasta bolognese-- and shared. Our son and his girlfriend took some of the pizza home. We cleaned our plates of everything else and managed a little dessert. We look forward to going back there. There are many more things we want to try!
P.S. It is best to Uber or take public transportation. It is about a 15 minute walk from the Belmont El stop.
This was our first visit, but Ceres' Table lived up to its recent reviews. The food was delicious, the wines were excellent and the service was superb. We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff went out of their way to bring us special treats and indulge our requests to share several dishes. We had fun!
Better than expected based on the reviews I read. The Food was very good.
Horrible service. They didn't ask how I wanted my steak prepared. Not once did our waiter ascertain satisfaction during the meal. Then he just dropped the check without asking if we wanted anything else.
It was just okay. Nice interior so I’d go back for a glass of wine but not for food.
Great food! The service, however, was just much too slow. We were going to a show that started at 10....got to our reso at 7:30, and were still nearly late to the show. It really shouldn't take almost 2.5 hours for a meal. In addition, our waiter was really nice and friendly, but disappeared for long stretches of time which was a bit frustrating as well. I'd come back, but only when I didn't have somewhere to be after my meal.
ordered a salad and pizza. They were supposed to have great pizza but came out and it was cold in the middle like it just came out of the freezer and popped in the oven, but just not long enough!! Really sucked. Was wife's B-Day. Wont return.
We celebrated my daughter’s 24th birthday. It was a cute bougie restaurant with great food and awesome service.
This was a tough review to write. Food was GREAT. Really solid and even special. Only complaint food-wise is that they were already running out of things at 8pm - -not great planning. The BIG downside in our experience was the service. It was TERRIBLE. Probably worst I've ever had at a restaurant of this supposed caliber. We had a spunky waitress who looked like she had WAY too many tables to serve. She left us for really really long stretches (including waiting for our initial drinks) and then was defensive when we said something. Even the bus service was poor with plates not cleared, water not refilled and a wobbly table that took multiple attempts to fix.
I have eaten here several times over the past few years, but this was a disappointment. The service was very slow. Three of us dined, and none of us particularly enjoyed our entree (Branzino, risotto, tagliatelle). To end the evening, the waitress first gave us a bill for about 1/2 of our order. Then we asked her to split the check between 2 credit cards, and that was wrong too.
Not terribly impressed with the service here. Was meeting friends for dinner before going to Blue Man Group, and it turned out making 6pm dinner reservations for 8pm theater tickets was a necessity. Server was polite and apologetic, but the only thing that came quickly & efficiently was water. We had to ask for our drinks, bread, and meals. The food was very good, but all the waiting made us nervous and took some of the pleasure out of the meal.
My fiance and I love to come to Ceres Table about once a month or so and sit at the bar in front of the big pizza oven. We almost always split a pizza (the Rucola is our favorite!) with a couple of cocktails. The bartender makes delicious drinks and is super friendly. He also makes homemade limoncello that we love to have at the end of our meal! Would definitely recommend to others.
the margarita pizza that I ordered didn't have any cheese on it - I would not recommend this item
I love this place! I always sit in the bar area. Sometimes at the bar. The bartender is great and this time he was waiting tables. If you like Italian wine I think they have the best by the glass wine list I’ve ever found. The wine is terrific and a $15 glass of Barolo can’t be beat. Did I mention the generous pour? I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. This time we both had delicious homemade pasta. Mine was bolognese and the sauce was perfect. I’ve always had veal in the past but for some reason it wasn’t on the menu this time.
We are regulars at Ceres Table and our recent dinner was wonderful. A mix of our regular favorites (pizza) and new options (cacio e pepe ravioli, insalata di treviso alla griglia, clams). Truly an ALWAYS FAVORITE for us.
Maria was a great server. Lovely ambiance. Creative food.
This was our first time at Ceres Table. We'll all be back!
Thanks for making our birthday celebration so special!
Walked to Cere from Airbnb. Airbnb recommended the restaurant. We waited a lol before the server arrived. We ordered Caesar salads which just ok, not croutons. To pizzas, one had a white sauce with Tampa the other was supposed to be a suave Nd pepperoni which arrived without cheese? The pasta bologna was jus so so. It is a beautiful place. But the food could be greatly improved.
Great neighborhood go to. The food is always good and the service is great. I have the branzino which was perfectly prepared. My friend had the orecchietti with sausage, both were yummy. Great wines by the glass.
Management seemed off. We had about 7 different servers & busers come to our table. The mushroom risotto balls were very dry and the hanger steak was served completely raw in the middle.
Great booking and excellent service from the people at ceres. I appreciate it!
Frequent customers. Daughter’s bday this time. Something was off. Food was fine instead of great, including the Florentine steak. We’ll continue to come though. I’m bummed that I can no longer get Tip of the Boot cocktail.
Met a friend for dinner and everything was wonderful! Great service, great food, and great limoncello. We can't wait to go back!
The food is ridiculously good. Definitely try a cocktail and order a pizza handmade in their pizza oven!
Delicious meal, great service.
Outstanding food the fish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented
Service was excellent-our waiter was fun and attentive
Quite the surprise -- a neighborhood gem. Immediately placed on our repeat list.
Ceres never fails to impress. I have Celiacs and always feel safe eating here. No repercussions. I had the monkfish over lentil purée. So tasty.
The service is spot on. Not overly hovering but ready.
Like that they have an extensive wine list. Impressive for a smaller restaurant.
It’s become my great local restaurant and I’ve been bring friends from all over the city and all says I s a gem in the city...
This was my second visit. The first time, during the week, it was fabulous. This time, on a Friday night, service was inattentive and the wait for our meal was much too long.
The food, service and ambience were excellent. The cocktails were amazing. I’ll be back.
A neighborhood gem.. food and wine always outstanding..
Great restaurant with amazing food and service. Mora was the best in giving us suggestions and serving us .
We had a great time at Cere's table! the atmosphere is nice without being stuffy, and the food was delicious! We especially loved the burrata and the fact that all the pasta is hand made in house. We will definitely be going back.
We attended for Valentines Day. We made a reservation for 8:30 which I would have never guessed would mean that they would be sold out of both dishes I wanted, but they were. They didn't let us know this at the door, and no there was no compensation for it. I settled for the Halibut, but it was very, very bland. Our waitress never came around to ask how our main dishes were so I did not have a chance to tell her. I ended up splitting my fiance's entree with him instead. Again, there was no attention to this when our plates were picked up. Overall, we were very disappointed in our decision to choose Cere's Table for our Valentine's Day. They seemed ill prepared and disinterested in making up for it. The drink menu is extensive, and the place is really cute/romantic. So, if you went for drinks and a meal I think it would be nice. However, I can not recommend it for special occasions.
Had reservation for Valentine's Day as my wife and I live in the neighborhood and enjoy the handmade pasta and pizza. Cozy and charming neighborhood gem as far as we are concerned. Upon seating we are told that we only have the option of a prix fixe menu which didn't include any of our favorites (including pizza). Regardless, we stayed.
They have a row of uncomfortably small two person booths located on the lefthand side near the back of the restaurant. Noisy spot with servers and bussers constantly buzzing right by our table. That being said, the food was all good (despite the disappointment regarding not being to choose our favorites) except for the appetizer which was relatively bland and small enough to feed a toddler. Would recommend to eat here if (a) sit by the bar and (b) full menu available.
