Two bad experiences for a one-night stay. The first was the hostess in the restaurant, Jenn. We were early for our dinner reservations, and we simply stated we were there but early, and we are going to have a drink in the bar before dinner. She snapped at us saying "THERE ARE NO SEATS AT THE BAR". We then asked if we could sit at one of the empty tables in the bar, and she was extremely rude with her response. The girl who waited on us at the table in the bar was absolutely lovely and did not get her name, but she was fabulous.
The second one was this morning before checking out, the rudest person where breakfast was served. There were paper cups and then above paper cups there were glass mugs. My friend with me took one of the glass mugs, since we were not leaving that area with it. The attendant started yelling at us for taking the glass mug "they are just for show" she stated, but there was no sign to forbid us from using this. When we questioned, she held her hand up to us and said "let me talk, don't interrupt me". I could not wait to get home, and my friend leaving on the rest of her journey. Furthermore, I think for a very expensive lobster dinner, salad should come with your meal. So overall, we were very disappointed overall in the Century House

The prime rib was tender, cooked just right, and delicious!

Great Mothers Day Prix-fix menu - Chicken Oscar and Prime Rib were plentiful and delicious. Took desert to go (Lemon Cheese Cake). Cordial and competent wait staff.
Table was ready at reserved time

Our waiter was great. He tried and succeeded in making our dinner excellent. The food was outstanding. The Lemon cheesecake was out of this world.

We went to dinner for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious and the service exceptional!

The prime rib was to die for. HUGE CUT would be an understatement. Great dining experience

We had a wonderful experience celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. Our server was excellent our food was delicious I can’t wait to come back and have onion soup LOL thank you for making our anniversary such a special occasion after all we’ve been through with Covid this was our first experience going out and thank you it was wonderful

As always we had a great meal and a fantastic location.
People are always friendly and efficient.

Menu selection is always something different to explore.

Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place great food

The food was delicious. The service fast and friendly.

Prime rib, lobster and shrimp all cooked, prepared and seasoned perfectly. Seated in an original room with almost no other diners, so it was quiet. Service was attentive, no intrusive. Just lovely ambiance, always a wonderful dining experience. Prices are very reasonable.

We absolutely love this restaurant. The food is so delicious and so fresh. There is a wide variety of items to please everyone in your party. The hostess/manager is lovely and so friendly.

Have dinner in a historic inn from a bygone time when the Dutch settled the land and a fledgling country was forming. The food, service, and ambience are appealing and reasonably priced. Bring a romantic date or schedule a special outing, it it well worth it. Kudos to the chef on the prime rib and scallops.

The Century House never disappoints! The food is always amazing and the ambiance is so cozy and inviting. Service is friendly and welcoming. Doesn't get much better than this. My go to happy relax and enjoy place!

Wonderful. I love it at the century house.

My daughter ordered a rare steak and it was medium and had to be sent back. Took at least 20 minutes for a new RARE steak to appear, and by then we were all done and she packed it up and took it home. The wedge salad was disgustingly covered with melted blue cheese. The baked potatoes were gross and disgusting with sour cream and bacon. We were never asked about a potato. I hate baked potatoes and the subject never came up. Granted our company ordered soup and salads and drank some wine, but we had no dessert, I had one decaf, no cordials or brandy and the bill was $286. You won't be seeing me again.

After years of going there for our anniversary each year and missing our 40th there due to covid was hoping the 41st would be amazing but after all the years of going there it was our last😪 service was not good,food was not good was very disappointed. During a time when people are starting to come back you really need to make it something you'd want to come back to!!!!!

We had a great time. They had live music for St Patrick’s Day and everything was great; food, friendliness of waitstaff, ambiance. This may just be our new tradition!

the food was great, the barmaid did an amazing job of creating a chocolate mint martini, on the fly, Doug, the waiter was super friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, the draft beer pump was broken and my boyfriend had to settle for a "canned" beer. St Patrick's Day WITHOUT a draft Guinness????? Hopefully from now on there will be a back-up system ready to go.

Perfect for a special occasion, elegant atmosphere -- even for grownups who have been there and other elegant places over the years. They still pull out all the stops to make a dinner more than a dinner. It was memorable, not because we ate out during the pandemic but because we ate at the Century House.

just what I needed , a quiet wonderful meal in such a great room with ambiance on a chilly Sunday evening. Very attentive staff to make my experience special. I really appreciated the covid practices they put in place.

Our restaurant of choice during Covid. Food is always outstanding. Usually have the upside down Onion soup and prime rib but they were out of Prime Rib, (first time) so I had the Seafood FraDiavlo and was blown away! May be my new go to dish! Wife had the Scallops which are always perfect. Also spacing is way beyond the 6ft needed and everything os very safe. Staff is awesome

food very salty , very slow over one hour to get food

It was our 50th Anniversary and I had reserved a table for 2. My daughter and son led us to believe they would see us during the day, which my daughter did but my son said he could not see us until Sunday. We said ok we understand. Then when we walked in and the hostess took us to the back and everybody was there we were so surprised and happy to have our family and grandchildren there with us. The room was decorated beautiful with balloons and tea lights. The waiter and waitress were wonderful and accommodating, the food was excellent we could not have asked for a better evening. I would recommend the Century House to anyone. It is safe with air purifiers, hand sanitizers and utensils wrapped up. Thank you to everyone involved.
