Four of us dined on the Sunday evening after Thanksgiving so it was nice and quiet and we could easily carry on a conversation. Our friends ordered the prime rib special -- 16 ounces of meat plus two sides. Of course, they took much of it home. I had the salmon BLT, and it was delicious -- even eating only half the bread I took home half the salmon -- delicious lunch the next day. My S.O. had the prime rib in the grass sandwich (I think that's what it is called), and he liked it but said it was dry so he was poaching the au jus gravy from the prime rib dinner eaters. Our waitress was super pleasant and accommodating.

This was our first visit to Centre Park Grill. We were pleasantly surprised! Food was tasty and service was great! The only negative to our visit was the fruit flies that appeared towards the end of our meal. Our server told us the restaurant had plans to address the issue one evening after closing.

We enjoy your restaurant but the noise level makes it difficult for conversation.
The floors are too beautiful to cover and the ceiling would be too expensive to cover entirely.
I'm not certain there is a practical solution.

All or our meals were fantastic! The weekend specials of the dry-aged Duroc porterhouse and Churrasco Espagnole provided the bases for excellent dining. The pork chop was huge and masterfully prepared, while the delicate thinly sliced pork tenderloin, again expertly cooked, was accompanied by an avocado tartar sauce, which accents the tenderloin beautifully. The choices of sides are many, though the mixed vegetable were not the standard array of steamed winter veggies which so may places offer, but rather an amalgam of diced potatoes, peppers and zucchini (not sure if this will always be the case), expertly seasoned, presented in a timbale fashion. Every potato side that evening - pomme puree, roasted potatoes and hand-cut fries - are always the perfect accompaniment to any meat dish - and there's even delicata squash on the menu! The 8-ounce beef tenderloin filet was perfectly prepared to exact specifications, and was a superlative cut of beef.

The wines represent a good value and the Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon and 19 Crimes Pinot Noir helped round out the meal nicely. One slice of bourbon pecan pie was more than enough dessert for the three of us, and was so delicious that one of our party took a slice home to have the next day (we assume). The Frontier Old Fashioned (one of the restaurant's signature cocktails) was perfect with dessert.

Service is always friendly, which makes coming to this neighborhood gem a very easy decision, especially since prices are so very reasonable for the quality of the food offered.

My husband and I enjoy going to Centre Park Grill when we have a night without kids, although we've gone there with kids as well. The bourbon menu is incredibly extensive and the bartenders really know their bourbon! The food is good and not outrageously priced. There's space between tables so you don't feel cramped or like your sitting right next to someone else. Overall it's a great find and we'll keep going back.

Love the atmosphere and ambiance but not the service. Had to ask for water 3 times, actually handing waitress my glass the third time. Asked for second cup of coffee, never got it. My meal was fresh and had tasty shrimp and crab, but little flavor-not salty enough. My friend’s meal had broccoli adequately cooked, but very salty. No silverware to eat dessert, I had to use friend’s spoon. Felt rushed. Got check before even finished the first cup of coffee. Was in and out in less than an hour, but had hoped for a slow, relaxing dinner with friends.

Our server Kelli! Awesome sauce. The calamari was so tender and light, not heavily battered. Very good dining experience. Worth the 50 minute drive.

I took friends there who were visiting from out of town. Sunday brunch was a perfect time to go back to Centre Park Grille. My friends had a flatbread and a salad which looked very good. They seemed to enjoy it. I ordered the Belgium waffle which is not something I would order again. It was cold when it arrived and there was not even a garnish like an orange slice on the plate. Just the lonely plain waffle! The restaurant is still one of my favorites in Columbia and I will be back but probably not for brunch!

We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter was attentive. The food was tasty (reuben sandwich, cilantro chicken salad, drinks and desserts). The sandwich was perfectly grilled on marbled pumpernickel bread and was loaded with home cooked corned beef. It was excellent. The cilantro chicken salad was very fresh and filling. Our bar drinks were very good. The desserts were wonderful: Apple cheesecake turnover and chocolate molten cake. Highly recommend both. Great local restaurant. If you have not been there, it is worth giving it a try.

Centre Park Grille has become our go to restaurant when we want to go out and eat casually. The food is very good. We are addicted to the crab and corn fritters as an appetizer. When we went last week it was small plates night. The CPG small plates are more like medium plates. Great bang for the buck. They also had paella which looked tasty.Tuesday is half price wine night which is a great value. The food is excellent. I have always had a good meal there. I have recommended it to friends who also liked it. An overall good dinner or lunch anytime.

Our second time there - first brought us back!
Other than the great shrimp salad sandwich & the great waiter John, it was a disappointment.
Maryland crab soup was watery & full of shells. The Reuben should be ashamed to call itself that! The meat seemed to be a leftover from St Patricks Day - tough, dry & almost impossible to chew. Little sauerkraut, hard to find cheese & on marble rye -a sacrilege.
I would go back for John's service & the shrimp salad sandwich - very tasty with lots of shrimp & just the right amount of dressing.

We spent a nice evening with friends trying out two different items from the Restaurant Week menu. Everyone enjoyed their salads, entrees, and desserts. The Maryland Crab soup; however, was a little disappointing for one guest who is a native Marylander. All in all, a very nice dinner.

Maryland crab soup was thin and too tomatoey! Avoid that! Crab and shrimp pasta was yummy. My wife had the NY strip and that was yummy. The acoustic was too loud. I had to yell.

It was just okay. I had heard about the lamb burger and it was pretty underwhelming. Chris had the grilled lobster salad and he thought it was 'fine' but not memorable in any way.

Nice room...big windows all around and nice flooring. Seats not uncomfortable, but don't encourage lingering over coffee afterward. That might be intentional, but probably just another restaurateur buying furniture they haven't sat in because they like the look.

Food has been good (and sometimes very good) each of the several times we've been. I can enthusiastically recommend the pork chops, my teenager loves the burgers and likes the Reuben. The fries are better than average and the veggies are pretty good. Desserts hit &I miss. We've had GREAT (seasonal) strawberry napoleons and cheesecake so bad we sent it back. Waitress was apologetic about the cheesecake and offered to bring something different, but nothing else tempted us that evening.

Service is... just ok. Staff not very knowledgeable and has to be asked to go find out answers instead of leaving it at "I don't know". Not very professional. Last time we actually got an eye-roll from a server after the third question she didn't know the answer to, when we asked her to go ask and bring back the answers. (Simple things, like portion sizes and whether certain items were brought in fresh or frozen). Other times wait-staff has been cheerful but not well-informed. This should lad be an easy fix for management- train your staff to know the menu.

Place is convenient and pleasant, with decent food, so we'll keep company ng.

I usually recommend the CPG as a place to go to for excellent food and service. The group of friends I was with have joined me there before. This time we were quite disappointed. The guest who ordered the prime rib, a special for Sundays, said that the meat was quite tough. My shrimp and grits was a mixture of good and not so good. The shrimp was cooked just right. The grits were soggy and had little texture. The cream of crab soup, ordered by 3 of us, was its usual good taste and texture. The best thing I ordered was the margarita with Patron tequila. Loved it. The service was adequate but usually it is much better with a wait staff which is friendly and bends over backwards to make sure everything is alright.
