We had a nice time. The food was good but not amazing. Service was very good.
We go to Centre Park Grill nearly every Tuesday for their paella - it's the best around!!!
Pretty good. Management made it good.
I had a great brunch with a friend. Really enjoyed the crab/corn fritters.... they were amazing. My breakfast flatbread was also awesome. We were not rushed and had plenty of time and sat at at quite area to talk. This is a great neighborhood place. Also terrifc and attentive service.
This restaurant epitomizes the expression " Neighborhood Gem". We feel so lucky to have this restaurant nearby! The menu is terrific and it has something for everyone. The steaks are terrific yet, we have ventured to try almost everything on the menu and have never been remotely dissatisfied. We love the vegetarian options and salads as well. We don't want to neglect mentioning the staff which are always attentive and well trained. Also, worth mentioning that Happy Hour is accentuated by the best Manhattans around! Visit and Enjoy!
Food was delicious, and they had options for everyone! We went for our anniversary, and it was our first time here. We had a great time and will be back!
We had a group of 8 for lunch on a Monday. The restaurant was not very full, which was good for chatting. Several of us ordered the Cubano sandwich which had a lot of tender meat but it was rather dry. Although the staff were very nice, the service could have been improved. Water glasses were not refilled and they brought the dessert when we still had our dirty plates in front of us. On the other hand, the sandwich was large and the price was quite reasonable.
Overall it was a good experience but I was disappointed that one of the appetizers I wanted wasn’t available as well as one of the desserts. I also wasn’t thrilled that they closed at 10:00pm. It was a Saturday night and we were with friends we don’t get together with often so it was disappointing to end the evening so early.
We ordered the turkey club special and the crab cake sandwich. The sandwiches were large. The crab meat was very good. The water checked and said it was Maryland Lump and it tasted fresh
The club was also very but the turkey was a bit dry. All in all, it was good and we will return again. The service was fantastic. I realized the time was late and he immediately brought and proceeded the check!
Nice place for lunch or dinner.
Restaurant was not crowded at all but service was very slow. At least 10 min before being greeted by water and 10 min for every other request. Food was not flavorful at all. Will not be back.
Great food and service. Not thrilled about
I was surprised by this place. It is not in the most attractive building (a bank next to it actually) but it is well worth it. The food portions rather large and great quality.
I would highly recommend it. We will definitely return.
My first visit here was very nice. My waiter Joe was an impressionable young man and also helped me and my friend with our meal selections. This place was spot on cleanliness and service was very nice. The fruit punch cocktail was delicious and the crab fritters we're absolutely outstanding! My friend had Calamari and it was nice and crispy.
Great All round
Food was fine but nothing spectacular.
We were pretty disappointed with the Sunday prime rib special. The meat was tough and lacked flavor. The dinner was served too soon. We'd had only a bite of our salad. The steak knives were late to come to the table; and we had to request fresh ground pepper on the Caesar salad. The Manhattans were excellent though! Everything else, food and service, were disappointing.
The decor: charming. The service: friendly and professional. The drinks: exceptionally delicious. The food: perfect! Tuesday night is tapas, paella and half-price bottle of wine night - the perfect trifecta. Tapas chicken with mash is well seasoned and the right size for those without large appetites. And the steaks: always without fail are expertly seasoned and prepared. The aged ribeye is a wonderful cut of meat while the tenderloin melts in your mouth. And done perfectly - medium-rare is exactly the warm red center one expects, while the medium cut is pink throughout with no blood. So delicious. All sides are delicious: crisp asparagus; moist cippolini onions with a wonderful glaze are the perfect foil for the beef. Go, dine, leave contented. An excellent value, especially when one's meal is washed down with half-price wine - the Joel Gott Cab Sav is an excellent choice.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Our waitress knew the menu well and made excellent recommendations. Steaks were cooked perfectly and dessert delicious!
We visited on Tuesday to try the paella specials. The paella dishes were impressive and delicious. The service and environment were excellent as always.
First time here since it changed over to the grill. No complaints about the service - wonderful staff. Food was just average. I got the steak frites and it was not good. A small average sirloin that had a vein/artery in it and did not taste very good. Mine was cooked as it should have been though. The asparagus was ok though heavy on the oil and the fries were good, however if you want to be picky there were several that were made from bad potatoes. Their "made in house" plain cheese cake was relatively good. I wanted to like this place, but I likely won't return.
First time at CPG. We will certainly be back. Everything was just right.
One of my new favorite restaurants. I absolutely love the lamb burger. And service is always very good. I highly recommend!
Our family went to Sunday Brunch. It was a party of 12. Kelly, our waitress, and the young man who helped her were great. The chicken in the Chicken and Waffles dish was not seasoned well. Neither was the crab soup. The shrimp and grits were just okay. The mimosas and crab dip were good. Seating was good also. We had our own private corner.
The food was not good. I will not be coming back. The waitress was awesome.
We have always enjoyed Centre Park Grill, but our recent meal there was sub par. My steak tips were over cooked and tough, the mashed potatoes were lukewarm and my husband’s full rack of ribs turned out to be a half rack. It took several tries for our waiter to fix everything. All in all, very disappointing.
Love the food. Love the half price wine on Tuesdays.
Great experience, delicous food & wonderful service. Only thing disappointing was they close at 9:00.
Met friend for weekend brunch. Restaurant over half empty. No host/hostess. When waiter finally saw me, he told me he'd be right back to seat me, then went to take someone's order! After finally seating me, I ordered Steak & Eggs from breakfast menu, and asked for crispy hash browns. I received a small, burned goat steak and soft hash browns. When waiter asked how everything was, I told him I received goat instead of beef. He walked away, and a woman came over to ask about the steak. I think she was the manager, but since she didn't introduce herself or have a name tag, I'll never know. I told her it was goat, but she insisted I received beef. I reassured her I wasn't blaming her; I was blaming her supplier. I know the difference between beef, goat, and lamb, and this steak had the distinct odor of goat. She asked if I wanted a filet or NY strip, which she guaranteed was beef, for a small upcharge. I hesitantly agreed. I received another goat steak, twice as large as the original one, and she upcharged me $8! At this point, I gave up; every time she asked me how the steak was, it was evident in her tone that she didn't care. If you want bad service and to be lied to about the food you're being served, Centre Park Grill is the restaurant for you! Otherwise, avoid this place; it's always empty for a reason.
This was my husband and my first visit. We decided to stop by for brunch. The service was great and the food delicious. The only concern, which I believe can be adjusted is that the food didn't come out hot. It seemed more room temperature. The plates were hot, but not the food. Otherwise, the selections we chose were delicious. We'll definitely return!
If there's one thing the Centre Park Grill is known for is its tremendous catalog of bourbon and whiskey, and also, their crab cakes, which is why I ventured there for a casual, but far from ordinary, dining experience recently one Friday evening. For my moderate price range, I asked the server, Kristen, what she recommended, and I'm so glad I listened to her: It was the Henry McKenna Single Barrel 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. "Aged for a minimum of ten years, this bourbon was called 'magnificent' by Jim Murray, author of the Whisky Bible."
For dessert, their chocolate banana bread pudding with creme anglaise can't be beat! Dare to add some of your bourbon to your creme anglaise over your banana bread pudding, like I did, and you'll be glad you did!
Kelly our waitress was AWESOME! Food and atmosphere was great. I loved the seafood pasta.
pedestrian. served soup before cocktails. food so-so. not GF friendly. service good. Will not be back.
Only complaint I have is the closing time. On a Sat night, meeting with friends and to have the establishment close at 10pm??? Will I return? Yes, just at an earlier time so to enjoy the evening longer.
Drinks are overpriced but food and service were great! Love the openness of the restaurant.
We were happily surprised with the many options they gave for restauant week and the prices. It was a good value. We had a very good cream of crab, filet mignot tips just as ordered and a slice of bourbon pecan pie that was also very good. We left quite full. Oh, did I mention the waitress was excellent? We will be back.
Love Tuesday paella! Gracious staff
Service was really awful. One of our friends actually ended up calling the front desk to ask them to send a server to us. We got the wrong food - no apology and one of us had to wait ages for her soup. Then they brought the entrees before we finished to appetizers. We were missing silver ware when the desserts came and despite asking three different servers still couldn’t get any. We ended up taking it from a table across the restaurant. It took ages to get the check and a ridiculous amount of time to get them to take our payment - hence the call to the front desk. Truly awful
Steak was great. CAESAR salad had no cheese just romaine lettuce with a large crouton. Butternut squash soup excellent but not hot. I had restaurant week menu of filet tidbits. It was average and the mashed potatoes were room temperature. Our waiter was not good. Never checked on us. Never filled water glasses and we didn’t see him to get steak knives until we were half way through meal. Left dirty dishes on table and never asked us if we wanted coffee with dessert. Our friend ordered French fries which they forgot but we asked and got them late.
Glad we did as the fries are fabulous! Not sure if it’s worth a second try there,
Go on a Tuesday -- it's the paella night which is GREAT, best around!
Great atmosphere, super Restaurant week dinner. Good portions! Kitchen servers very friendly as well as table server. New to area a great find!!
