Centre Park Grill
The food was just OK. Our waiter was very nice but definitely couldn’t keep up. The restaurant itself wasn’t that busy but I don’t think the manager had enough staff in for the day. My jumbo crab omelet lacked ANY crab. The English muffin and toast were not served with butter or jam or anything. Very dry. We had to ask the manager to find our waiter to get refills on water and the rest of our drinks.
Have only been to Centre Park Grill a handful of times. Each time I hope it will be better and each time I am disappointed. I don't know how this restaurant is still in business given that I was there for dinner on a Friday evening during peak meal time and many tables were empty. This may account in part for the poor food quality. Perhaps they are losing money and are skimping on ingredients. I ordered the Vegetable Paella special as the description sounded fresh and appealing. Sadly, I was sorely disappointed in the skimpy amount of vegetables, the massive amount of rice, the over salting of the food (and I like salt), and the heavy oil use on the dish. I ate as much of the vegetable mixture as I could stomach but then had to send it back and order a different dish, the Ahi Tuna Taco appetizer which, in fairness was relatively tasty though did not have any punch despite the description of having ingredients of jalapeno pepper and wasabe. My spouse ordered the vegetable lasagna and had a similar experience with lack of vegetables and over salting. There was so much cheese and lasagna noodles that he picked out the vegetables, ate some of the cheese and noodles and left the rest behind. Our server was fine and in fairness to management, they "comped" us a dessert. My husband decided on the vanilla cheesecake. Being a cheesecake lover, he would not recommend this as he said it had an odd aftertaste.
While we like to support local businesses unfortunately this is one we have given sufficient attempts to meet our standards and it does not meet the grade.
The entrees were tasty, but the staff was a bit lacking and out of touch. Our waiter corked our wine bottle without asking if we were through and brought us our check without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert even though we were there for a birthday. As we were leaving, a couple was having trouble going through the door due to a disability and would have taken a fall if my husband hadn't been right behind them to help. It wasn't so busy in the restaurant that the door couldn't have been attended.
Not sure how to rate this place. The staff is young and inexperienced. The resturant floor plan makes no sense. The menu shows well, but all portion sizes are small. In my opinion, only go if you live near by or have a coupon.
Our server was not attentive and there were many empty table, so he wasn’t busy. Had to ask someone else for water and ketchup.
CPG burger was tasteless, even with the cheddar and lettuce/ tomato.
We've had a couple of good experiences here, but this wasn't one of them. It was a Sunday night; shouldn't make any difference, but .... Plenty of open tables, and we (4) were seated promptly. After 15 mins, I had to go ask for a waiter. My wife ordered pan-seared scallops; they were served deep-fried. I ordered the grilled pork chops; grilled nicely, but zero flavor. The waiter seemed disinterested; the service was adequate, but barely. Overall, we were disappointed; it felt as though the staff were going through the motions, but not very invested. We may try one more time, in case this was just a one-off bad night. But we won't meet friends there again until we have some assurance of a better experience.
EXCELLENT service and good food
Very enjoyable evening! Food was delicious as always, service wonderful and Antonio at the bar fantastic!!
Our server was friendly and had great recommendations. Great night!
Food was edible. I would not dine there again. Personally, I had . the pasta dish with shrimp and crab. The shrimp was overcooked and the crab was cold. I mentioned it to the server and he said nothing and disappeared. I assume they are poorly managed or poorly trained. I would not recommend to a friend.
Family favorite for a meal or just going out for dessert! Have had several book club meetings there and it is great!
The service was awful
We eat at CPG a few times a month and we are never disappointed. .
Living out of the nearby Residence Inn for a few weeks, nice place to eat decompress
We went here for my husbands birthday which happens to be s
St. Patrick's Day. To our surprise it wasnt super crowded at all. We were seated quickly and the waiter Kelly was amazing!! The only downside was my husband's meal wasnt filling. He ordered the scallops with risotto and he only got 3 med size scallops. For the price it should have been at least 5 scallops.
Nice reasonable date night place.
We've been here several times over the last few years, I'm not sure we'll be returning. There have been numerous changes to the menu, eliminating some favorites such as the Cuban and the Club sandwich. I also didn't appreciate being charged $1 to have the bacon, which I can not eat, removed from my burger.
My husband and I went for brunch and he loved the chicken &waffles. I had the corn and crab fritters which were great. Be sure to get a dessert. I had the bourbon pecan pie and my husband had the melted lava chocolate cake. Our server, Joe, was very friendly and helpful because this was our first time eating at this restaurant. We will be going back.
Wonderful!!! Amazing food and service! Great kids menu and other options for picky toddlers!
The prime rib was fatty and stringy. Disappointing! We were there a bit back and really like the place but this time not. Also got my order a bit confused.
Great atmosphere. Food was just OK to good. Service was EXCELLENT.
We had a group dinner there after a meeting. I have been there several times before. The food is good but we found the server and service a bit wanting. Just kind of a dull, colorless experience. Like no one seemed to care about much. I feel like they have slipped a bit.
I met with two girlfriends that I had not seen in awhile and it was a great place to have conversations and catch up during a late lunch. We all had soup and salad. The potato soup of the day was excellent. They forgot to give me my salad dressing, but it was not a problem. The menu has a good variety, and actually include breakfast during lunch and we thought of ordering it.
Prime rib was really tough and chewy and mashed potatoes weren’t good at all. Pricey for what you get. Service was really slow
Exceptional service, very attentive and friendly. Our waitress provided recommendations that turned out to be perfect. Six of us were given a table well away from the bar area...very quiet so we could talk comfortably. Waitress kept track of the time, enabling us to have a great, relaxing meal and still meet our theater reservations....great job! We'll be back.
Seems you were short on Waite staff that night she was really running from table to table. For their pricing they should serve there bread warmed. Prime rib was over done and tougher than I expected.
Went for brunch, it was ok. Going to come back another for dinner to see how that will be
This was my 1st time here and all I can say is I love this place. My waiter Kelly was awesome!!!! From the time I walked into the door there was no wait, my appetizers and food came out in no time! If you ever go you must get the fruit punch drink. I will be returning soon.
It was Valentine's Day. The food was reasonable, even daily specials applied. The food was tasty, wine list was fine and the Merlot we ordered was excellent, and the bill did not impoverish us. The only thing was we had to remind the waiter of the special prices, and I wish places would go back to one waiter per table.
It was a nice place to go, local, not too far in the middle of winter, and we were satisfied enough to return again.
More elegant than your average neighborhood restaurant, CPG still has a coziness and well-balanced menu that makes it a great repeat dining restaurant.
Always enjoy Center Park Grille. The sword fish was ok and can't compare to the salmon you use to have on the menu, which was fantastic. Your cheesecake is awesome.
Service was excellent and stuffed shrimp special was delicious. Filet mignon was cooked to order and good. Providing au jus and horseradish sauce would have elevated the steak flavor.
We love Centre Park Grill...the service is always great (Antonio was our server) , the food comes quickly and is always good (love the new menu especially the pizza choices) and as important, you can hear yourself talk...never too noisy. Love having a neighborhood restaurant that has ample parking and a friendly, welcoming staff.
Staff is always friendly & welcoming! Food is very tasty & always plated beautifully! I've been here a number of times & never been disappointed.
Generous portions. Cream of crab soup was delicious.
My new favorite place to dine
Food was great. Service was not great.
first time out and last.
ordered wine at the start of the meal did not get till after we asked for the check at end of the meal.
food order came out mixed up after a quick fix the food was not too bad, just nothing to rave about
The food was ok overall. The cream of crab soup has a great taste but is a bit thin. The chicken Caesar salad was decent but seemed like the chicken was microwaved. The crab and corn fritters are always delicious.
Really like Centre Park Grill. This time, however, we went specifically for the weekly/Tuesday paella only to find out it is now not weekly, but only on the second weekend of the month.
And they were out of items even at 6:30 pm. Disappointing.
Server was outstanding, Ben.
