The food was very good however they were out of half of the menu and nothing was on draft. We were there for one hour before we finally got bread at the table. There were only 4 other tables outside, it was not a busy night and we waited over an hour for food. The waitress made the best out of a bad situation. For the price of the food, I would say this was unacceptable.
Food, service by Lauren was excellent & extremely friendly.
Will go back!
There were four of us for Mother's Day brunch buffet. The variety of food choices was excellent. Poached salmon was to die for! We felt that a 20% automatic holiday gratuity for a buffet and only a table of four, with nothing from the bar, was excessive. And for that reason, we don't go back. There are many resturants that offer a brunch without an automatic 20% gratuity.
Food was excellent, staff was attentive and courteous. Great experience!
My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary at the Center Bridge, however, it is on the river and moths are attracted to light, so when the staff turned off the lights it helped with the moths. Overall, the food was good, I would put less dressing on my Cesar salad or ask for it on the side and the tavern frys are to die for!
Pretty place it’s where old bucks county money dines. Elegant, unassuming, cozy.
Restaurant week. Decided to try this place w friends. Although there were not many people there we enjoyed the whole experience. Cocktails were great, food excellent, bartender/waiter friendly but not overbearing... hope you will give it a try. We will be back.
Easter buffet dinner. Food was great and so was service.
Over 70 degrees outside and we were seated by a wood burning fireplace that was pouring smoke into the room. Way too hot and smoky. Food taste was excellent but portions were small. Scallop entree consisted of four almost medium size scallops.
Center Bridge Inn to friends.
It was my first time there and I was hoping there would be a view of the river while dining.
They have New York prices, but food is well worth it.
Nice location and decor that takes you back a couple hundred years. My wife's crab cakes were excellent, but our NY strip and Filet were so-so.
Arrived to a partially empty restaurant, with Dinner reservations for 7:30, but we were not seated until over an hour later. When we were finally seated, both entrees that we wanted were sold out. Understaffed, out of food, and unapologetic. I would not recommend based on this experience.
Food and service was excellent. Would definitely go back.
Service was terrible kept trying to deliver drinks and food which weren’t ours. Waited very long for everything not enough servers and only 1 bartender working. Also their website never mention it was a prefixed menu for Valentines Day. Overall it wasn’t very enjoyable and overpriced.
I felt that the prix fixe was too high for this meal. The salmon was good, but the green beans were almost raw. We requested them without garlic, so my guess is that the chef did not cook them long enough. The biggest problem was the wait time. We had a 6:30 reservation and did not get served our main course until 7:30. We did not leave the restaurant until 8:45. Every phase of delivery of the food/drink was very slow.
Loved this restaurant!!!! No complaints ! Beautiful atmosphere with excellent food!!!
We had a great stay. Room was large and tidy. Same as the bath. It was great to get breakfast and so convenient to grab a drink at the bar and dine at the Inn after a full day out walking around. Plus, since we were right over the bridge—we walked over for a stroll on the canal path and shopped in the farmers market. Yum!
Amazing dinner sitting fireside and enjoying the quiet, romantic atmosphere.
We have a great time whenever we go here. The food, ambience and service are always great.
I called ahead and asked about vegetarian and vegan options for 1 person in our party; the hostess indicated the chef can definitely prepare something and we should just ask upon arrival. Once we arrived, the waitress was flustered at the request and indicated that we had to order an entree off the menu (all of which had meat or seafood) for the side dishes we wanted, vegetable side dishes could not be combined into one order as the chef refused (which did not make sense). This was a new year's eve dinner where one of our party was extremely disappointed. In addition, our server was rushed and did not provide an overview of items (like the listing of desserts - she briefed us a partial list, which we realized after we ordered dessert as we overheard another waitress go through the list with another table) . Extremely disappointed at the services.
New Years Eve dinner
It was NYE. Atmosphere was very nice. Had balloons and New Years Eve hats and whistles on every table. Service was awesome. Had a lovely bar to hang out at after dinner. Overall a very nice experience. I will go back.
New Years Eve celebration
My wife an I dine out 2-3 times per week. We try many places in PA and NJ. Our tastes vary but we enjoy most all menus. I must say that the Centre Bridge Inn was the biggest disappointment in 2018. Multiplied by the fact that this was Christmas Eve dinner, a very special occasion. The "Crispy Duck" as read on the menu was not close to crispy nor was it typical for that item. It was about 3 ounces of duck breast, very sparse on the plate. Served with plain old mashed potatoes and roasted root veg. Cost $38.00!!
Needless to say, we both felt that we were victims to a holiday nightmare. The ambiance was cozy but
not worth the failed meal. Do yourself a favor and spend you're hard earned money elsewhere. Please.
Our experience was disappointing from the moment we arrived. CB is known for its lovely ambience situated right on the river, however despite being prompt for our reservation, we were told our table was occupied and it would be a while to be seated... or we could dine upstairs “in a cozy dining room by the fireplace”. The room was anything but cozy and the fireplace very unnotable. The first bottle of wine we ordered they did not have, then our meal stared with mediocre under-flavored appetizers (escargot and French onion soup. Fortunately the mains did make up for it with fabulous duck and rack of lamb. Others around us had similar seating experiences but yet no manager ever came to extend an explanation or small accommodation. Overall a mediocre experience on Christmas Eve.
It was Christmas Eve. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation. Valet parked our vehicle and we were seated in a small room upstairs immediately. Service by Ciedra (please excuse my guess at spelling) was consistent, friendly and excellent. Escargot was ok, a small pile on a puff pastry. Cheese platter very nice and French onion soup enjoyed. The two men in the party had the steak and I had the lamb. All the meals were plentiful and tasty the lamb especially, although I don’t think I would call four loins laid flat on the plate a rack. I did tour the downstairs room and thought it to be much more cozy and lovely but I didn’t care because we were seated by a window and could see the lights twinkling on the bridge. It was pricey and the prices were up for the holiday. The bill for three of us, each with one cocktail, came in at just over $200 pre tip.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Warm and cozy on a cold winter night.
Appetizers and entrees were delicious and nicely presented.
We had a reservation on a holiday night and were extremely pleased that we were seated at a table in front of the fireplace. The staff were professional, friendly, and attentive. We enjoyed the wine and appetizers and our entrées were prepared as requested and were fantastic. We have no complaints and would recommend this dining experience.
Dinner was horrible. Salad was bland. Chef decided to “substitute” my spaghetti for Rigatoni. Somehow he claimed it was “pasta of the evening “, but kind of funny how my husband had ordered the Rigatoni,The Flavorless Dinner. I was embarrassed because I made the reservation. We get together with friends once a year to celebrate the husbands’ birthdays and it was a flop.
I was here a few times years ago and suggested it for our date night as the atmosphere is very nice and cozy. Sat by the fireplace which did need staff familiar with starting and keeping a fire going. We had appetizers which were pretty good, CBI Mushrooms and Escargot. For dinner my date had the crab cakes and they were good as long as you like lots of peppers. I ordered the Crispy Duck, but it was no where near crispy; but rather smothered in apple chutney and very soggy. So much so that it really was not edible. When the server finally came back, she didn’t ask how my meal was, which was the full plate minus the green beans, but asked if I wanted it boxed. I told her that it was not good enough to eat then, I didn’t want it boxed. She did come back after clearing our plates and offered a dessert, but by that time the very loud jazz band started and we could no longer enjoy our conversation. $100 for that dinner was certainly not worth it, wouldn’t recommend for a foodie.
Our three adult children would not be with us this Thanksgiving so I searched for a quiet, cozy place for Thanksgiving dinner outside of our normal eatery area. We were so pleased when we pulled up to the charming historical inn located on the Delaware River in New Hope PA. In addition to the beautiful location the Thanksgiving meal was scrumptious and the serving sizes were more than gracious. We will return next month for my birthday and actually stay over in the inn.
Thanksgiving dinner. For the past three years we have eaten here for Thanksgiving. The first two years were wonderful. This year was not good. The food was not the same. There was not a lot of love put into it. Very small portions that were just thrown together. Service was slow. The whole meal was a disappointment. We will go back to the drawing board for next year.
We were looking forward to our Thanksgiving dinner since we had dined here before. I wish they had kept the buffet since the service was not great. We seemed to have been forgotten when the first course (salads) took forever to come out and the table who sat after us were already eating. I really love the charm of this place too but it wasn’t our best experience.
we went for Thanksgiving Dinner for the second time. Special dinner menu gave options other than turkey, but we stayed with the Turkey dinner. Meal was 3 courses, just enough, and a sit down meal versus a buffet. Very good experience
Great dining ambience. Really neat place to dine. Food was great!
My boyfriend and I went on a Sunday evening and we were so glad we did! Not only did we receive amazing service but the food was amazing. I had the scallops. I’m a very picky foodie so to impress me, the seafood has to be pristine!! And it was! My boyfriend had the filet mignon, it was so delicious (yes I’m the girl who tastes everyone’s food, lol)! Just go and check it out for yourself. As for my man and I... we will return very soon!
We went to see Barbara Trent and it was a perfect setting for wonderful music. There were 8 of us and we had a comfortable, enjoyable evening. The staff was wonderful.
We were the only people in the restaurant on a Thursday night. Wait staff was great. Old time inn feel and comfortable atmosphere. We spent $112 (2 of us) and were extremely disappointed in the value for the money. Dinners were marginal at best but the wait staff was exceptional. If we went back it would only be for a drink at the bar or for the view in the summertime.
Reservations for 6 pm on a Thursday. Nobody else was dining and we were informed that they were out of the short ribs. Steak ordered well done was medium rare and when returned it was medium. Saved that for the dog. Waitress was inattentive and manning the bar alone. Martini ordered was not cold....Salads were decent. Salmon was good but mashed potatoes seemed from a box with no taste. We finished in a couple of hours and only one other couple showed up. Perhaps this place is better equipped with food and help on weekends.
Great historic atmosphere with wonderful views of Center Bridge and the Delaware River.
