Celebrated my birthday with a friend. Food and service was great, loved the ambiance and all was good until a large party came and occupied the table behind us and drapes were pulled between their table and ours, killing the ambiance and the enjoyment. The noise volume rose to a crescendo thereafter. Something to learn - request not to be seated by large tables when you are just a party of two.
Great meeting place with exceptional food & service provided from start to finish with my two Sr. Executive guests.
Provided ample time to talk business without feeling rushed and the food was absolutely delicious.
Highly recommend for business or special night out with that special someone.
Great service but food needs to have a little more flavor for the price we paid. The squid appetizer was so soft in the mouth but a little bland. The ambience was great for romantic dates. Willing to give them another try but I hope the food will be better.
Enjoyed dinner with our friends. Cocktails followed by Octopus, Lobster Salad, Prawns, Salmon, Half Slab Ribs, Sole, Lamb, Bread Pudding paired with a bottle of 2013 Gigondas Moulin De La Gardette. Presentation of food dishes are very appealing. Excellent service.
Their excellent, perfectly dressed lobster salad, their house made bread with herbed butter, and a glass of Rombauer Chardonnay make for a perfect lunch here. We like to repeat this as often as possible!
Incredible lamb chops but each meal I've had has been excellent. Not overly crowded or noisy either. I come whenever I'm in town.
Specified on open table that this was our wedding anniversary dinner but nobody acknowledged it. Beyond and totally separate from that, the waiter was the most unwelcoming and unpleasant service I think I've ever had. He was sarcastic, dismissive, and seemed very annoyed that he was working. We dined early and despite only 3 tables total he never came and asked us how anything was. He never smiled. So unpleasant. My husband asked if there were any specials and he replied "everything is special." Very pompous.
My petrale sole entree was without flavor or inspiration and had a weird texture. Nobody asked how it was until we were ready for the bill. A busboy asked me if I didn't like my fish and I told him it wasn't my favorite. He smiled.
We'll not be returning or recommending to friends.
The scallops were undercooked to the point that they were inedible. A lackluster experience overall. We won't ever go back.
Highly recommend. Frequent business traveler to area and discovered this gem several year ago. Always good food and service. Wine list is great. Giorgio and company always take good care of us.
This was a special occasion with 8 guests. Prompt, attentive service. Fish, pasta dishes (both meat balls and seafood), appetizers - outstanding. Pumpkin soup was amazing. Two of our party ordered lamb - that was a big mistake. The meat was too tough, lamb flavor way too strong, and with lots of inedible fat. The dish did not come with steak knives, but steak knives were badly needed there. Unfortunately our guests were too polite to send these dishes back. I wish they did, just so the restaurant could have had a chance to rehabilitate itself.
I am still a fan - we had a private event at this place for 30 guests a year ago - both the food and the service were outstanding (no, we did not order lamb...).
Great dining experience. Pricing a bit high, but overall value very good.
This was our first time at this restaurant and we didn't know what to expect. The ambiance and decor are elegant and inviting without being intimidating. The service was good. We ordered the lentil soup, the beet salad and the salmon pizza. Lentil soup is not usually worth a lot of comment, but this one was phenomenal. It was worth coming to dinner here just for the lentil soup. The beet salad was good and the dressing was robust. The salmon pizza was really good. The creme freche was a nice tough and the potato slices were unusual and gave it a nice texture. Everything we had was great and we were happy with our dining choice and menu selections.
Central Park Bistro is a cozy spot with friendly attentive service and a well designed menu of seafood, poultry, grilled meats, pastas, pizzas and risottos. On this visit, I enjoyed the lobster salad: a refreshing mix of arugula, lobster bites, grapefruit and avocado. I ordered a half bottle of Champagne, which was kept cold for me behind the bar and refilled very attentively...Those in my group had the lamb shank and the skirt steak and were very happy with their choices.
For dessert, a warm and delicious toffee bread pudding very much like sticky toffee pudding. The chocolate lover in our group reveled in the chocolate lava cake and our other party enjoyed a coffee cocktail.
Central Park Bistro offers a reliably steady quality of cuisine in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere of convivial service.
My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We both enjoyed the food very much. I had grilled salmon and my husband had the skirt steak. We both agreed we would revisit this restaurant. The service was very efficient and friendly.
Enjoyed Fried Calamari, Grilled Octopus, Heirloom Tomato Salad, Petrale Sole with Lentils Cauliflower and Herb Salad. Paired with bttl of 2013 Gigondas Moulin De La Gardette.
A warm welcome. Interesting and delicious food. Excellent service
We go here frequently and it's one of our favorite restaurants. However on Sunday 5/21 after having made reservations via Open Table--we arrived and the restaurant was clearly undergoing renovations, and other then a couple of construction guys--who I assume are not skilled chefs--there was no one there. I'm basing my review and stars on previous visits.
Had a fantastic dinner at Central Park Bistro with neighbors. Sat outside to enjoy the beautiful evening. This is one of our favorite places. Food is always delicious and service is excellent
Everything was delicious, well-presented, and service was excellent. I needed to contact the manager after we dined there and was pleased by a friendly and prompt response. We'll definitely go there again.
The waiters seemed in an awful rush. They kept coming and trying to clear the table and snatch plates away from us while we were still working on the meal. We turned them away twice, but the 3rd time the waiter cleared the plate of a fellow diner while he was still eating. Awful service!
Some of the best lamb chops you'll find and the lamb shank is uber-flavorful. It's quite if you go earlier. I've also been here for lunch and while eating outside isn't my thing, this was great and my salad was filling and flavorful. I haven't even been disappointed in a meal here.
Excellent lunch. Crusted tuna was delicious according to my husband. I had Caesar salad with shrimp and friend had lobster and crab cakes with butter lettuce salad. We all enjoyed our meals.
Nice Quiet! place with attractive traditional feel and service.
always a favorite because of the varied selection of delicious dishes. the staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and they were very flexible when it came to asking for different combinations for my guest. it's fun to have the full on meal starting with appetizers to desserts, but it's just as good to dine on appetizers alone!
Overall nice Mothers Day dinner.
We came here for the Mother's Day Brunch. We sampled a few dishes from the special 3-course brunch menu and they're all great. My wife (and mom of 2 kids) love the pasta and she has a great time and hence it deserves 5 stars
While I've eaten at Central Park Bistro many times for dinner and lunch, this was my first time for brunch. Their Mother's Day brunch menu was wonderful--varied, creative and delicious. The beignets and croissants to start were a nice touch; the blackened chicken omelet with avocado was great (and not too spicy) and the bread pudding was fantastic. Very good value at $34. The place was crowded and they had a little difficulty managing the service. But overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return again.
I took my wife there for her Mother's Day celebration and the food is excellent! The pre-fix courses was delicious especially the lamb chops along with Toffee bread pudding for dessert. I will highly recommend and the atmosphere is excellent.
Good food, a little pricey due to location and the parking is horrible again due to the location. Great place to meet for lunch and they have a large area for big groups, which adds to the noise level. All-in-all a nice place with good service and good food, love their bread!
Nice menu and presentation for a last minute decision.
