One of my local favorites. Fresh, local menu changes seasonally, but you can't beat their filet - it's the best!
The dinner was very enjoyable. The service by the waitress was good, but I wouldn't say outstanding. A few times the glasses got pretty close to empty before they were refilled and more than once, they were refilled by someone other than her. The food was excellent, with the exception of the broccolini which was a little bland. Other than that, the food was incredible. Definitely will be back.
We enjoyed this place! Great food! Service was ok. For the type of restaurant and the price, I expected a lil more attentiveness. However, the food is simply amazing!
I really enjoyed my night it was very cozy and quiet .. And the food was awesome .. The only problem I had was that they overcharged me ...the waitress came back and said it was resolved but I still got over charged looked at statement and for sure that's what happen ..I plan on calling tho to get it resolved
Great food. Brussels sprouts are out of this world!
My wife and I ate at Central for the first time on Valentine's Day. Both of us had the same reaction. Their website and menu were both misleading. The website shows an elegant room with table cloths and upholstered chairs. Actually, it was more like a sports bar. No table cloths and the chairs were metal. I had the Orange Duck. The menu described it as "Duck breast ala orange, beet, sweet potato, brussel sprouts, orange infused." It came with three leaves of brussel sprouts (yes that's leaves not actual sprouts) and six dime size slices of sweet potato. When I questioned the waitress, she said well the Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes are garnish not sides. That's fine but the menu made it appear as if they were sides - both by the description and the price ($38.00). Ended up ordering a so-so side to go with the meat. We also had their banana nut bread dessert, described as "banana custard pudding, bruleed bananas, candied pecans". The chef must not be able to count higher than 3 because there were literally 3 small slices of banana, a teaspoon of what I guess was the custard pudding (there wasn't enough of it to taste) and dusted with what I guess was a powdered nut of some type. I like my desserts and was very disappointed with this plain banana bread ($8). In all honesty, I've had better banana bread from the grocery store. It was all cooked OK, just very misleading in the description.
Service was great, all in all. However, when my server brought out my water, there were floating dirt/food particles in it. I requested another glass. Also, my filet mignon was over cooked and WAY too salty (what’s up with that?). The potatoes were the best part of the meal, but you can’t go wrong with potatoes, really. At any rate, the service was great. The food...mediocre. Maybe it was a bad night in the kitchen, I don’t know. Not impressed.
My wife’s birthday and Valentine’s Day was the next day.
Made reservations for an early Valentine's dinner on February 10. Staff members we're very accommodating during the reservation process as I asked to have flowers delivered ahead of time. The flowers were on the table when we arrived and the food was excellent! Great service too! Overall a wonderful evening.
