Server was unfriendly and unprofessional, menu was limited but some good choices and food was well prepared.
A bit disappointed with our experience at Central Market. They disregarded my nut allergy and the food came out with nuts. They did try to correct the mistake, but when that happens it’s hard to trust you’re in good hands when you have a good allergy. I’d go elsewhere for better food and a better experience.
We always love to begin our dinner at Central Market with oysters and then the farinata. Terrific house made pasta and cassoulet the night we were there. And of course ending with amazing macaroons.
Everything we tried was delicious, but the farinata was amazing!
Servers and waitresses are happy to be there.
It is always hard to choose because the menu has so many great dishes. I tried the sole this time and it was outstanding. I am from the east coast and one thing I have missed in California is the Atlantic white fish but this sole was so perfectly cooked.
I am not sure how many times we have been to Central Market at this point but we have never had a bad meal or server before, during and hopefully the pandemic ebbs.
Central market is a consistent winner.
We appreciate Chef Tony's focus on quality food and service at a fair price.
We try to dine here at least twice a month.
Local farm to table menu. Items change frequently with a focus on seasonal offerings.
We like to order 4 to 5 dishes and share each. So many tasty items to chose from.
Recent stand outs: Banh Mi, Duck Wings, Little Gem Salad, Funghi Pizza, Kale Pesto Pasta.
Solid wine list and reasonable priced. Nice by-the-glass offerings with large 8-10oz. pours.
Service is always excellent. Luc, lead server, has done a phenomenal job with wait staff!
Great hire Chef Tony.
Look forward to dinning with you soon!
OUr greeter was wonderful, very friendly, quick, personable.
Had a great meal. It was wonderful to finally get a reservation.
The sea trout crudo with guacamole was great.
I ordered my fave Little Gems with blue cheese and house-made bacon, but it never arrived. 😢
My bride loved her house-made Italian sausage with polenta and a ‘nice sauce.’
I loved the shellfish stew. The remoulade(?) sauce really packed a punch and it surprised me but i used it all up.
The contained held the head so the shellfish was hot from beginning to end. The sliced bread was burnt at least to my taste.
We passed on desert this time.
I hadn't been there for about 10 years, same as I remembered it, great food, service and nice atmosphere. Went Friday night at 6pm, parking was not hard to find as the stores were all closing and the restaurants were just starting to get busy. Had the roasted vegetables, beet salad, and a fungi pizza, and butterscotch pot-o- cream.
Plenty of food for two.
Seasonal and local — delicious! Happy to return to Central Market.
Service was personal and professional. It was a birthday dinner and had all the specialness we had hoped for.
This is our second time for dinner at Central Market and have enjoyed it quite a bit. Both the quality of food and it's preparation have been rewarding, And the chef selects our bottle of wine. It's not a neighborhood place for us and requires about a 40 minute ride. It's worth the journey and looks like a monthly trek.
Always a wonderful meal and a great experience.
Good was very good and the wait staff were very professional.
First time since pandemic. Outstanding as usual.
The dinner entre I chose was pasta and it had 4 prawns and 4 clams that were slightly larger than raisins. My friend had a large pork chop that wasn't quite cooked. I will not recommend this restaurant or go back again.
Always such a treat eating here! Delicious, seasonal, perfectly prepared. We lost track of time but the staff and chef were incredibly kind and generous by letting us stay. Pro tip: ask for a big table and order everything. 😌 Enjoy!
Food flavor and quality were outstanding! Definitely returning.
Great service, delicious food. A perfect date night!
Fantastic. Really delicious food, expert service.
These people can cook!! Delicious, fresh ingredients, limited menu. This was our first visit, and we will return.
Waiting for us and a great table in an alcove where we could talk and be together for a few hours.
My wife and I eat here often. Never been disappointed. Service, food and atmosphere excellent. I had the pizza and my wife the raviolis. We shared the sweet gems salad. Amazing!
The food was delicious and well presented. I would highly recommend Central Market
Excellent service, oysters wonderful as well as beet salad. Short ribs were fall apart perfect.
Butterscotch pot de creme delicious, also the macaroons with espresso buttercream. Good selection of wines by the glass. Will definitely return.
Celebrating our daughter and Amazing son in-in law’s marriage!
Terrific Northern California local fare expertly prepared in a great location with very attentive service.
This was my first visit to Central Market. The menu was fun and interesting, and the food was AMAZING! There were four people in our group, and everyone loved every dish. The server suggested a good wine pairing for my short ribs and the staff who kept our glasses full and our table clean was very attentive. I highly recommend Central Market and I look forward to dining there again soon.
Best restaurant in Petaluma for farm to table dining!
The food here is unbelievably good. Our server was so attentive without being a helicopter server and she recommended the tastiest choices. We were on a high top and it was nice to see the world go by and enjoy a fabulous meal. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
They were very accommodating, and pleasant. Food was good, enjoyed the options. Would suggest checking this place out.
Food was amazing and the wine list very impressive. Our server, Luc, was from Paris and made some excellent recommendations for us. I highly recommend this restaurant on your next visit to Petaluma.
Impeccable service, and wonderful wine list. Our food was absolutely delicious, and we were treated with the utmost care. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and cooked beautifully. I haven’t been here in years and now I can’t remember why. Five star experience.
Everything was delicious wait every little bite on our plate
I made reservations for my husbands birthday. I requested a regular table but we were seated in a high top table, even though there was a booth available that someone else got who came after us. The food was very good. Our waiter was aloof and not very friendly-perhaps a European thing.
Great food and great service. It's on our short list of restaurants we frequent.
Have always had a good time eating here. It's my husband's and I's go to date night restaurant. Food has always been delicious. Have never been disappointed and the service is always wonderful. Lastly the butterscotch pot of cream with maccaroons is the best dessert EVER!!!!!
Central Market never disappoints. My guests had the classic short ribs and raved about the taste. My favorite is always the butterscotch pot of cream- you can't go wrong with the combo either.
One of the worst meals I have ever had! I will not return to this restaurant… sent the beet salad back, they did take that off the bill… it was my second visit and my last.
Complimentary dessert for birthday was a lovely touch!
