My wife and I went to Central Market for our anniversary. We have been there before and had high expectations based on our past experiences. The staff and chef did not fail to impress this time either. We were seated early and all members of the staff were extremely courteous and friendly to us. They were routinely coming by our table to make sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed the food. The food was delicious and the portions were not small in the least. We left with full bellies and good memories...again.

great outdoor dining experience by heating lamp :) enjoyed smoked duck wings, cassoulet (tad too hot) and schnitzel so good. plus we celebrated so they gave us a goodie box of yummy cookies that i'm still savoring.

Great experience. The waiter was fantastic. Always discrete checking on me without bothering me. Happy hour food was 3.5 with oysters being the star. Very reasonable price. Will return

They always change the menu which keeps going there often fresh. I like that they now have weekday happy hour until 6:30pm! Good deal on wine and appetizers.

We had the Cassoulet which I didn't like, but perhaps I'm just not a cassoulet fan as it's not something I've had often. We also had the fall vegetables which were fine but nothing special. The duck wings were good flavor wise but hardly any meat on them whatsoever. Maybe it was just a lean duck? We also had the gnocchi pasta which was good. We had their macaroons for dessert which are always good.

Central Market is always wonderful! I loved the outdoor seating, which was plenty warm, and beautifully lit. The food was spectacular as ever...the jerk chicken was fantastic!

The Sardine appetizer was incredible! It was my wife's birthday and we enjoyed ourselves.

Amazing as usual. It had been a while since I have gone out to eat and it felt wonderful to be sitting there, outside, having wine and eating incredible food. I can't wait to go there again.

Outside tables near (not right next to) the Petaluma River. We ordered a very good beet salad as a shared appetizer, and a steak and pork schnitzel for main courses with fries; all dishes were very good and cooked to order. (Perhaps a bit too much arugula between the dishes.) we thought the service and value were both good, and we will return to try the oysters!

What I appreciate most is their constant experimentation. We tried their wood oven farinita, and WOW they are great and unusual. The outdoor, COVID seating felt safe and was very comfortable.

We went to Central Market for a birthday dinner. The food is consistently best in town. We ate outside (covid time) staff was masked up and very attentive. Highly recommend.

We went for a special occasion, my husband's 75th birthday. I noted that when I made the reservation. It was completely ignored. I know that a special dessert is usually served. They dropped the ball...very disappointing.

We had a wonderful meal with great service!! Sitting outside on a warm summer night only adds to the experience. Only downside were the BLM protestors yelling and honking horns. Look forward to visiting again

Loved it! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and we were not let down. The food was excellent!! Wife had the albacore tuna and I had the wagyu medium rare and everything was delish!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Our anniversary and birthday dinner was absolutely amazing. Outdoor dining due to COVID-19 did not stop them from going above and beyond for their patrons. We hope to keep restaurants in Petaluma like Central Market and many others afloat through these trying times.

Perfect Covid dining experience. Great food and service on side patio.

We loved our meal here. One of the best things was the ambiance during Covid. It felt so good to be sitting in the sidewalk with pretty tinkly lights and not in a parking g lot. Also the food was great. We hd the paper deal with Bolognese sauce and the Jerk chicken. Plus our waitress, Jenny was so nice. The butterscotch pudding dessert was delish. We will return.

COVID moved dining outdoors but now it feels like a European square with bistro tables, globe lights, and brick pathways. Our dinner was exceptional. The service and food were top grade.

Central Market is one of Sonoma County’s best restaurants. The menu fluid, reflecting the season, and the macaroons are an amazing way to finish a fantastic meal.

I love this restaurant in its ‘normal’ setting, but right now the outdoor seating is very disturbing. There is nothing separating walkers by from the seating, and people ( some not wearing masks at all) were passing within inches of us every few moments.

I originally asked for a different table but the fellow acting as the greeter didn’t really seem to care and put us at a table right in the driveway. We moved anyway as there was no one else at a more removed table. I realize it’s an easement , but a few stanchions or moveable planter boxes would easily solve this problem.

I regularly travel to Paris and enjoy outdoor bistros, but man, I couldn’t enjoy myself at all; I had talked this place up to my date and this totally ruined the meal.

There are no umbrellas or shade for the outdoor dining area. Be prepared to be blasted by the sun.

It was very uncomfortable, as halfway through the meal an SUV decided to drive up and park across from us, idling the whole time; what an a$$. Then there was the party of 20 or so, obviously from one big family but separate households were whooping it up across the way.

We won’t come back until things are corrected, even if the food is great. Uncaring servers and dodgy space will cause us to go elsewhere.

Nice people just slow out of synch service. Food was good but the dinner was not worth the 30 min drive. No heaters so freezing in the alley. We will wait for indoor dining again, it just didn’t work for us but we like the place so we’ll chalk it up to Covid.

I had an amazing birthday dinner at Central Market. Central Market is definitely our favorite restaurant in Petaluma. They made a special birthday dessert for me. Our meal was phenomenal as usual and we had a great seat outside. Thank you to Tony, Sarah, and the whole crew for an awesome dinner.

Outside dining was fantastic.

It was refreshing to see that they have redone the menu as Central Market rarely updates. Please tell the owner to invest in how they set up their outdoor seating. He should invest in heat lamps and move the outdoor tables to behind his restaurant rather than on the side. It was WAY TOO WINDY and cold. Our server was amazing and very intune with checking in with us as we were seated outside. Other restaurants along Petaluma Blvd have done a better job with outdoor seating and have thought about the welfare and conditions of their clientele. Cucina Paradiso and Risibisi have done so why can't Central Market? This is the new normal and they need to get with the program and rethink their layout.
