You're gonna love the Brussel Sprouts! ...and many other things!
Five of us had dinner here for an impromptu birthday dinner and it was very enjoyable. We started at the bar for some "Happier Hour" drinks and the crispy brussel sprouts, both the Margaritas and the sprouts were delicious, then moved on to dinner. The menu is very large with some interesting takes on favorites, like the pot pie calzone. Our server, I believe her name was Nicky, was delightful and very attentive and the complementary piece of birthday carrot cake was very generous and memorable. The breakfast menu looks delicious and I don't think you can go wrong with the food here at any time of the day.
The restaurant was closed and fenced off, but was still taking reservations on Open Table. Very inconvenient.
Delicious! I didn't know that place was there all this time. The beef was so soft. Carrot cake is delicious! The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Will definitely come back.
Great food and service! They care about the food and customer and it shows! I will be back!
Great service by our waitress, we came for dinela around 8:45. Some items were sold out prior to ordering but everyone still had a great meal.
We visited the restaurant during the Dine LA week and tried their prefixed menu. Among the appetizers, the winner was truffled brussels - it was absolutely delicious. Spicy tuna and tortilla soup were good. From the entrees, we tried mahi mahi, which was good and almond salmon, which was very mediocre to our taste as crust was smooshy and and taste in whole was somewhat plain so was the side garlic potato. Two out of three desserts (carrot cake and lime cake) were so-so, while apple cobbler was good. The ambience is very simple. Service was great - our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and quick.
Service was great, food was very good. Will definitely be back.
The soup was delicious and tasty. The entree was well done and I had to return it. The replacement steak was cooked medium to raw. Was nicer and had leftover. The key lime pie was yummy.
Would come back.
Highly recommended. It looked like nothing special; we just chose it because of its proximity to our lodging, but we were blown away by the inventive menu, overall value, and exceptional service. We were a party of 5, all made different selections, and all truly loved each course--appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks. We're not regularly in the Glendale so sadly we may not be able to come back, but sure hope this place is around if we are back in the area.
Herb crusted Mahi Mahi was fantastic. Vegan options were quite tasty. Service was attentive, informative and fun. Highly recommend it. We will be back the next time we are in the area.
I ordered the special and found it not to be very appealing. We also had gazpacho and fries which were tasty although the fries were a bit too greasy. I will give the restaurant another try as the menu is more inventive than most but I did not enjoy my tuna, sweet potatoes and rice dish.
Great place, nice ambience, attentive service, big portions, comfort food.
A bit of an ordering snafu but the waiter fixed things. Food was yummy as always. Short rib melt... mmmm. Pizette appetizer very tasty. Zucchini bread to go. See ya next time!
Great restaurant for kids and adults alike
Celebrated our friend’s birthday. The staff was very kind to place our party in a private room which was great because it isolated our noisy children. The food and service were great. Will definitely recommend Central Grille!!
It was late in the evening, and spur of the moment. We expected it to be crowded being the Saturday night before Mother's Day. It was not. We had the staff's full attention and the noise level was unusually low. The food is always very good, but the night's specials which we ordered were exceptional.
Service was great. Food was delicious. Shared several plates so we could try many things. Short rib tacos, sliders, Brussels sprouts, all divine.
A comfortable, albeit slightly noisy venue with a menu focused on flavor and freshness. Welcoming and friendly staff offering attentive service without being obtrusive. The dinners we had were delicious, starting with the fig, onion and Gorgonzola flatbread appetizer, salmon and tri-tip steak entrees and key lime pie for dessert. I will look forward to returning to the Central Grille on my next trip to the LA area.
Love the healthy options on this menu! Fair pricing and great happy hour!
We went as a family of four and had a great meal. We had the kale-artichoke dip that was fantastic. All of our meals were really good and we finished up with key lime pie and the warm Chocolate chip cookie with ice cream- both were very delicious. Service was quick and friendly.
Sand dabs fish was amazing
Always love this place for family dinners. Great food and service.
Great meeting place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. OpenTable doesn't seem to be able to confirm lunch reservations so call the restaurant directly as there are often people waiting at lunch time. Recommend the zucchini bread!
My wife and I very much enjoyed the food and service. Had eaten breakfast there several times, but first time for dinner. The taste of the foods were terrific!
We had a wonderful dinner for Valentine's Day. The food was delicious and are server Nikki, was a delight.
We eat there often and always enjoy the experience. Burgers and fish & chips are the best in town. This time I had the Mahi Mahi and it was excellent.
This was my first experience at Central Grille. The food and service were very good. Ambiance is like any upgraded diner in my opinion but a good neighborhood reliable. I would not avoid this restaurant for a simple meal with a full bar available.
Excellent service and food! Love the variety on the menu and the decor is cool.
Food just didn’t taste fresh or felt overly fried and greasy. We really liked the server and didn’t mind our cocktails.
It was a quite friendly dinner! Service and seating was prompt.
Sand dabs and fish and chips were great, service too
Really yummy, especially the short rib sandwich and the kale and artichoke dip. We were in the area for an event and took a chance on this place and were really pleased. If we lived in the area we would definitely go back.
The short ribs and fish and chips are amazing! Service great. Very good coffee
Great place for a low-key but festive Christmas Eve dinner for the family. The service was warm and accommodating. The menu offered something for everyone.
Menu needs an update for regulars, has hardly changed since opening, getting boring.
Great casual restaurant. Broad menu - something for everyone. We went with a group of seven and all enjoyed their food. Service was friendly. Even decent wine by the glass. Prices very reasonable. Will definitely go back.
Great for our work team dinner, sat in a private room that allowed for our fun and noisy conversations. Service was responsive and terrific! Food was great!
We were staying nearby & stopped by Central Grille. We had great advice from our server & had the truffle brussel sprouts, short rib, roasted salmon, spicy ahi on crispy rice cakes & deviled eggs. Everything was delicious & served quickly at the right temperature. The brussels were advertised at "addictive" & it was an accurate description! I couldn't stop eating them! We enjoyed our dinner at CG & would definitely return the next time we're in the area.
Everything was great except one of the burgers was overcooked.
It smelled funny when we walked in... a little barnyard-like. We almost left, but were staying at a hotel nearby and didn't want to deal with getting our car and going somewhere else. It was kinda cute inside, and the food was better than expected. Nothing terribly remarkable, but it was solid. Service was friendly, and prices were fair.
