Unfortunately, didn't notice burgers were overcooked until took a bite. The serving of fries was huge for the plate size. It would've been nice to have a side of salad or pickles instead of such a large portion of average tasting fries. Good drinks. Excellent server. A boisterous brunch crowd. Like the open air area. Would try again but make sure to check food first before trying.
Met a friend for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was busy, but not out of control. Due to crazy I-25 traffic, we were both late for the reservation. The hostess and wait staff were gracious and made me feel very comfortable waiting for my friend. Our waiter was perfect - always there when we needed something, yet didn't hover over us. I had an amazing spicy egg dish and went with the waiter's suggestion to add avocado. We had a 2 year old with us and the kid's menu was perfect.
All in all, it was a very nice lunch. Will definitely go back!
Great food & ambience, the service could use some work on timing plates. Our app plates weren't cleared & we got our first course. Then we hadn't finished our first courses when our main came. Our server was not very attentive & could have had a nicer, cleaner appearance. But again the food was great!
Went here for the first night of restuarant week and the menu was Fantastic!!! The entree cod dinner was out of this world delcious with the sauce. The roasted chicken entree was tasty, but paled in comparison next to the cod. THIS PLACE AND THE SERVICE WERE OUTSTANDING!!
Central Bistro always pleases us. We go there on Sundays because it is quieter then so we can hear each other. We both started with the shrimp taco, which small and a perfect blend of crunchy and softer ingredients. I had the oxtail ragu, which was rich and savory without being salty. It was more than I could eat but my husband was happy to finish it for me. He ordered the shaved octopus, which is a savory bigger small plate. I asked a lot of questions about the menu and got good cuatomer friendly answers such as could one of the salads be served without the apple - yes.
We were looking for a place for a late lunch and found this restaurant while searching Open Table. It looked good and wasn't too far, so we made a 2:00 reservation and headed over. As soon as we walked in we could not hear each other speak as it was INCREDIBLY LOUD. I mean, really, really loud. But we had the reservation and asked to be seated in the dining room, as far from the bar as possible. We were given small menus, which I thought were drink menus. When the server finally came to our table (it was now 2:09) I asked for menus and we were told that at 2:00 it became Happy Hour and so our only option was to order from the "bar food" menu, which was the one on our table. We observed plates of regular entrees coming from the kitchen and served to neighboring tables, so we asked if we could order from the regular menu. No such luck. We were told the kitchen was most definitely closed and we could not order anything but the bar food, even though we were seated in the dining room. (We had a 2:00 reservation - perhaps if we had been greeted promptly we could have put in our order quickly before the kitchen closed?) So, rather than extend us the courtesy the restaurant clearly preferred to have us leave, which is what we did. Server didn't seem too concerned either way. Unpleasant and unfortunate experience.
The food and service were outstanding. We sat in the bar area so there was a group that was a little too loud for our liking. Regardless, the experience exceeded our expectations for service in the bar area. We enjoyed our server immensely, as he was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back to this restaurant again!
We ended up just having happy hour as it's happy hour all night on Mondays. The mussels have great flavor just lower quantity in the happy hour portion. Also liked the taste of the meatball sliders but they were very small. Happy hour salad was perfect- food came out slow would like to return to try more options.
