very oily food. Could not finish dish, do not recommend.
The food is incredible. The casonsei - meat ravioli, brown butter, sage, pork
guanciale & grana padano blew our minds. Ambiance Amazing. Service Spectacular.
Excellent food, although portions were a bit small. Also, my main course arrived a good 15 minutes after those of my two fellow diners. We ate outdoors, under two heaters, and were quite comfortable. Prices were moderate, so I would go back.
Always a pleasure to dine here. For lunch, their gondola sandwich is divine... warm homemade crusty bread, filled with tuna, mozzarella, arugula and a drizzle of virgin olive oil. It’s delicious and completely affordable.
We had lunch at Cento yesterday, and the food, service and ambience were all excellent. I’m sure we will go back frequently.
Fresh and delicious. Good location. Went for lunch but will definitely be back to see what dinner is like.
The pasta was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Lively vibe.
Our party of four had a lovely post-theater dinner. There was general agreement in our party that this was a delightful restaurant!
Good food and service. Only real problem was noise, making conversation difficult on a 6 person table. Price was about right for South Beach location
Great food and attentive service. Price is what it is, no surprises there
I’m surprised such a gem exists still. Food is great and prices are very reasonable
Great place, however food is very bland. Atmosphere is wonderful and service is very attentive.
Always love this place, good vibe and service are always very good.
Just like being in Roma. Authentic menu, small plates and Full courses. Brick oven Pizza at the bar with a "Campari" .....cant beat it. Staff lead by Irene is ideally suited for this concept dining. Always a lively bar during happy hour.
Always good food and service. Menu choices are interesting and different so it is a pleasure to dine here. There was quite a crowd when we last dined there so it looks like there is good support from the community. It is wonderful to have such a good restaurant located so conveniently to the neighborhood and public transit.
I dont recomend right now but hope to in the future as the location for this restaurant is perfect and I want them to succeed long term.
This is my third visit to Cento and I keep hoping for an improved menu experience.
There is no salad on the menu...why?
If you ask, they will bring a nice house salad ...just put some veggie options on the menu.
There were NO options on the menu without cheese or cheese with meat. I asked about this and the ONLY option to have a meal at Cento was to order an off menu item of al dente spaghettini with a plain red sauce. I have had no problem dining at
many Italian restaurants while having some dietary restrictions. It was disappointing that they are not embracing more vegetarian/plant based options.
The spaghettini was just ok, I could have made it better and more flavorful myself.
I really hope they do well in this location and hope to learn of more menu options before I dine there in the future
We ordered the SF Restaurant week Lunch. It was fabulous. The appetizer was a plant-based dish. I never thought a plant-based dish could be that good. The main dish was mini ravioli filled with pork and chicken with a wonderful sauce. We ordered half a bottle of Italian red (I forgot what it was) and didn't like it; the waitress replaced that with another Italian red, better. The service was excellent, maybe, because it was a weekday afternoon and the place wasn't crowded. We were pleased with everything.
The food was fair. One of the dishes came out cold and dry, as if it had been sitting on the counter for a while. The service was extremely slow and inattentive.
Food was very good and the staff very friendly. Will be my go to restaurant for fun atmosphere and great food.
great food & service
An alarm went off and it took them a solid 10-15 minutes to deactivate. In addition to making me listen to the loud alarm, they also made me wait around 45 minutes for my meal. The food was also not too good, the pasta was basically udon with a watery sauce and mussels. Not a great way to spend my last 2919 dinner. I was given a free dessert which I appreciated.
We love this neighborhood spot and hope it continues to do well.
Went to this place a year ago and it was so much better - the food and the service. This time around the salumi platter was almost disgusting to eat, the pasta was okay and the service was terrible.
The food was ok but just ok. The place was big and noisy. The waiter really over did his impression of an Italian waiter and it was obnoxious.
Limited menu-almost zero vegetarian options. Menu is NOT kid friendly.
This would be a mediocre place for a weeknight dinner. 2 out of the 4 dishes ordered were decent. The antipasti and pizza were good but the main pastas we ordered were bland and a disappointment. The service was the worst and noticeable by every table. This was not the individual waiters’ fault but management for not having enough staff for the tables. 2 waiters for the entire restaurant, a poor experience and they knew it. Gave us a free drink and dessert because of how long it took. If I were to go again it would be to grab a pizza and that’s about it.
Our group of six enjoyed their meals but service was a little distracted since 4 of us were served and 2 guests had to wait fo their pizzas, which should have come out at the same time. The server forgot our bread and butter order but overall, it was a good evening.
salad with calamari was great. Pizza dough itself was fine but toppings and combinations were not good. Pasta was bland, and the gnocchi with mushrooms also bland and plain. Service was good.
Great service, good homemade pastas. Want to try the pizzas next time, they looked great.
Food was not great
Service was super slow and inattentive. We were the first large table seated of that particular seating, offered water, and then forgotten about until the rest restaurant filled up. Almost every other table got their orders in before us, so it took 20 minutes after starters for the mains to arrive. Wine did not arrive until half way through our mains. Took almost two hours for a salumi, salad, and pizzas/pastas.
Such a great experience. Not stuffy but very professional. Warm atmosphere. Italian comfort food at reasonable prices. Our party of six shared antipasti and a couple pizzas and then deserts. Yum.
We had friends in from out of state. They love Italy and Italian food. They were very impressed! Food was excellent and service was good. This is a beautiful place and the staff truly cares about food and service. We frequent this neighborhood gem. Irene makes us feel at home.
This was our second time at Cento. Each time, midday, it was very quiet. The food is delicious.
We are regulars and we love the upscale Italian cuisine at a terrific price! The buratta and squash appetizer is wonderful, as well as the shrimp and green bean appetizer. And the pizzas are just delicious.
Authentic Italian food. The grilled calamari with mustard greens, green beans, grilled sliced peppers and olive crumble was amazing! One of the best cappucinos too!
I go there once a month and I look forward to my next meal. The food is delicious, the staff most welcoming. I highly recommend it! Thank you all!
Great ambience and terrific food!
Nice complementary desserts but only after I reminded the wait person who then said I needed to order one dessert first. Don’t really get that...
Great food, location, & service! The space is really nice and big. Excellent wine menu.
We go to Cento often for its authentic Italian Cuisine, great vibe, excellent staff.
