   We came for the wine tasting and our waitress was super knowledgeable about wines and how to correctly sip them. She was attentive and super sweet! She recommended wines that we would have never tried- but thank god she did cause some of those were our favorites! I think this is an experience everyone should attend to try new local wines and expand your wine pallet. The cheese and cracker pairings were also amazing. We did not expect to get that much food with the wine but I’m happy we did. 10/10 experience

   We had a fantastic time for brunch. Portions were a little small, but the service and sangria were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back at least for some more wine and snacks.

   Wendy was very knowledgeable on the wines, she was sweet and energetic and patient with our large group. The place is nice and quaint. It was overall a good experience. The only downfall is parking in the strip, so leave enough time to find parking to be on time.

   My Husband and I had a reservation for Valentines Day and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Our host was Michael and he was very attentive and pleasant, helping us with wine choices and tastings. The food was very good as was the wine, but the topper was their delicious Strawberry cake the Hubby and I shared. I would definitely recommend others to patronize this fabulous gem. 5stars all around.

   Excellent wine and food. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine and pairings. The charcuterie was delicious as well as the pasta dishes. We will definitely be back!

    This place was absolutely marvelous. We had a wonderful time, all the wines we tried were amazing, and the food was delicious. The staff was so nice, and provided great insight to all the wines and their backgrounds. 100% would recommend.

    We went for holiday trivia night and had the best experience. Great service, lots of fun! The meatballs were absolutely delicious and just the right size to share as an appetizer.

    Ive been to wine bas all over the world. The service could be so much better. The wines were not explained to us nor anything on the menu. It was very mediocre. I did notice that other tables were receiving more attentive service. The food was okay. The wine wasn’t great. The ambiance was very cool. If things were better I would bring my husband. We probably won’t come back and that’s too bad.

    Ambiance was great. Staff was great. Wine was…… not great. Closer to awful. We didn’t eat the food but from what we saw coming out of the kitchen, I would come back to try it. Just next time we will be ordering beer.

    My wife and I enjoyed an excellent tasting experience in an empty dining room for our anniversary. Very romantic. Our server was excellent as was the wine and cheese board.

    Food and service was excellent. There were four of us and we all had something different- steak, salmon, chicken, and pasta. The olive and oil dip was great although I prefer a crustier bread.

    Staff were enthusiastic and friendly, so please don't take this review as negative towards the front line crew in any way. It's about decisions made at the back of the house. The wine was mediocre and the cheese board was barely one step up from Cracker Barrel and saltines. Given the options in the neighborhood, Cellar on Penn needs to step up their game.

    Failed to hold my reservation even though I paid in advance for a wine tasting and called in advance. Acted like it was my fault. Food and wine were really bad to the point that none of us finished the meal.

    I can’t say enough about the experience! It was a great time and made even better by Craig. He was so helpful and informative and friendly. I very much recommend doing a tasting here. I’m coming back soon with a different friend to do it again!

    Cellar on Penn is a lovely, fun place to go for happy hour and / or dinner in The Strip District. We were lucky enough to make plans for trivia night (which also happens to be the best-executed trivia I've ever attended), and had an absolute blast. The food was delicious, with significant portion sizes, and the servers were SO kind and attentive. We will be back!

    The wine is not completely undrinkable. The food was pretty good, especially the pasta and marinara sauce. The chicken Parmesan was very good . The charcuterie board was disappointing. The service was polite but of course they were understaffed—and there were only four other tables. Won’t be going back.

    We had my elderly mother with us who ISNT very good with stairs anymore. The Host and Hostess were very accommodating and sat us outside. We had great weather and thoroughly enjoyed it. We listened to other reviews and many of us ordered the chicken parm. It lived up to its reviews!!! We had a very nicely done, very fresh and delicious charcuterie board with several different cheeses and meats. The wine was very good. We had the Pinot Noir and Pinot Greggio. My only recommendation that I hope this restaurant receives is a better beer selection. I am more of a beer drinker and wished they had more of a selection of different beers. They still get 5 out of 5 because everything and everyone was GREAT!!! This was for our daughters graduation from Duquesne and we were grateful we selected the Cellar on Penn.

    We had reservations for Mother's Day for 2pm. We did not get our appetizers til almost 4 pm. The waitress did not make much effort to keep us abreast of what was taking so long. Maybe a time here and there. At the end..when my husband spoke to the manager..all he said was he'll let her know? No sorry that happened or we can take off an appetizer or something. Oh one more thing..the manager came to our table and took our menus from us to give to another table he had just seated..we had not even ordered our dinner at this point. I understand places are short staffed..but the place wasn't even that busy. I just wanted to enjoy the day with my kids, husband and grandson and we weren't treated well to say the least.
