Cellaio Steak By Scott Conant - Resorts World Catskills
Renowned chef, author and restaurateur Scott Conant introduces an Italian-inspired steakhouse, Cellaio, nestled in the picturesque Catskill Mountains. A play on the Italian term for a butcher’s pantry, Cellaio offers Conant’s take on the traditional steakhouse, complementing aged steaks with the antipasti, market salads and house made pastas that have become synonymous with his cooking. A relaxed bar and lounge greets guests upon arrival and leads to a spacious dining room featuring roomy crescent-shaped booths, communal seating and an interactive decanting station. For private events, a pair of intimate dining rooms reveal incomparable views of the surrounding mountains. Whether it’s to celebrate a big win or for a weeknight dinner with friends, Cellaio Steak is a destination dining experience for upstate New York built on generous hospitality.

The food was excellent as usual, however there was an obvious fly problem in the restaurant last night. This definitely took away from the experience by having to constantly fan them away from our foot,
The dinner was great and so was the service, we were very happy with everything!
Had a great experience and look forward to returning for another meal!!!
Always excellent!!!! At everything!!!! Our go to spot every time at the resort!!!!
Fabulous good and service!!
This was certainly not the best. The space was nice, and we had a delicious bottle of champagne. However, the food certainly left something to be desired. I had an heirloom tomato salad, which was great, as a starter. The main dishes though really failed. The steaks were WAY overcooked, and the sides were cold. The service was wonderful though. The waitress was so kind, and she worked really hard to make sure we were taken care of (which meant a lot because she didn't have to as gratuity is included). The dessert was also really tasty. I'm not sure it's worth the trip to this place given how expensive it is and how not good the entrees were, but some was really tasty and the service was very good.
Way over priced for what you get. They have you captured in the casino in the middle of nowhere with little other options for dinner. Prices have skyrocketed since re-opening..
Over priced dinner for 2 shouldn’t cost $300 for an ok meal.
Good food and great service - perfect for date night, family event, quiet dinner
The food was magnificent!
We stayed at the resorts world casino for two nights and we wished we ate here both nights. My boyfriend had had the strip which was cooked to perfection. I had the octopus and it was delicious. Not fatty nor chewy.
Definitely recommend eating here.
The food tasted excellent we both had the stuffed lobster with the purée potatoes and the fritto misto as an appetizer all delicious. The huckleberry cheesecake was fantastic.
Steaks were great and service was great also loved music choice, be back soon
One of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure to eat in.
We were excited for our first visit to Cellaio. It was our 24th anniversary! It started nicely tho our server got lost we were frustrated with long wait to order bottle of wine.
We would have preferred booth seating, we were not offered choice. I’m visibly disabled. A seating choice should have been offered. We were greeted with “Happy Anniversary!” (I checked box on reservation). Nice touch.
The fresh bread and accompaniments were tasty! The tuna tartare appetizer was delish.
Then it all went very downhill… we both ordered stuffed 1 1/4 lb lobster special (supposedly stuffed w Ritz crackers and lobster). It was beyond disappointing. There was barely enough lobster in shell. The “stuffing” was overwhelmingly massive. Merely crushed crackers, NO lobster.
My husbands lobster was VERY fishy and inedible. Mine, while tasty, wasn’t enough to feed small bird.
It’s always hard when your server asks “how was your meal?” It’s either blatant honesty or not. We chose former.
The manager immediately appeared and offered another meal. It was too late for that and he knew when he said it. He did remove bad meal from check. Nice gesture… but…bad taste (no pun intended) was already planted. Worse, it immediately dissolved our high expectations of Cellaio.
It would be quite hard to recommend Cellaio after our experience, especially being our first visit.
Honestly, for all time we’ve spent over several years at Resort World we’ve absolutely had far better meals at Lotus, Double Down and Diner.
I’m one to always find some good, glass is always 1/2 full in my world! With that in mind, it is certainly possible it was an off evening for Cellaio. Unfortunately it will stick with us for special occasion it was and anticipation of a superior meal, which is absolutely was not.
It simply did not even come close to dining experience we were looking forward to and expected. Certainly not restaurant you’d worry may have an off night or blunder a “special entree”.
We love the steak house very much but after the pandemic ,
The prices are sky high! We have been going to Cellaio steak house since it’s been open. Well what a change in the size and the prices of all your meats ! The prices of your meats are more money then the finest steak houses in Manhattan! You have on the menu one steak that’s 28 days prime dry aged and you charge $95 for that little piece of meat . All the steak houses in Manhattan and Westchester are 28 days old and primed and they don’t charge extra money for it. Then you have a A porterhouse steak for two people and the cost is $157 are you nuts????
They also had a special for a stuffed lobster with shrimp and crab meat in it in the stuffing there was hardly any shrimp or crab in it .this was a mix and it was a chicken lobster $65 oh my God! The portions of the meat and the side orders are getting smaller and smaller.
The service in there they’re understaffed it takes a long time for a drink or your food or if you need to get something in between your wait forget about it!
Please bring back Seth the maître d’. His service is outstanding he greets you he remembers your name he talks to you after you get your dinner he comes back to make sure everything is OK the other maître d’ is in La La Land he doesn’t even check to see if your dinner is OK switch down and never comes back bad personality!!!!!
We want to come back there we are drinkers and we enjoy our food but what’s going on at that steakhouse will go eat at the lotus from now on. Reasonable prices and the portions are large
The food was good but nothing special. The prices are extremely expensive so I expected everything to be outstanding.
Great service , wonderful meal and drinks. Nice upscale restaurant
Love having dinner there food service & drinks are the best
Very nice restaurant. Food was excellent and the service was outstanding! Tyler was our server, he was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Exceeded our expectations. Food was wonderful thanks to suggestions made by our server Tyler! Can’t wait to visit again.
Tyler was excellent; attentive and very efficient. the food was excellent and the lobster burrata was to die for. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steak and oversized baked potatoes were great. An excellent place to dine
Service and the server (wish I had her name) was excellent. Food was also great! Would highly recommend.
It was fine for the most part, service was wonderful but it was just way overpriced.
Overpriced food of mediocre quality and preparation.
Food was excellent as always. Loved our Farmers Salad, your new Gnocchetti pasta dish.
Our Waiter Tim was once again fantastic!! He goes above an beyond to make sure our visit and experience is top notch.
Always a great time & fabulous food.
Lamb chops for two was delicious and desert berry tart. Can’t wait to go back.
The food at Cellaio is outstanding, and the well-trained staff strives to make everything perfect........And they do!
The restaurant was nice, but the menu was overpriced for the quality of food that was served. The Pasta dish with the Chef's signature sauce was bland. The Chicken Scarpariello was inconsistent, some of the pieces were over cooked. Both portions were on the small side. I wouldn't eat there again.
I have been to this steak house on a few previous visits. The food is extra delicious and the service is top notch. I was with my older son this past visit and he cannot wait to come back again. He loved everything. The staff is top notch.
Food was Great, Service was not so great, Hostess was very rude on upon our arrival, She said to come back at our time of reservation and when returned she was rude again and saying our table is not ready yet and to wait outside, was not the start we were looking for, our waitress was just a little off with how she performed, but overall the food was Excellent
We just got back from Aruba and wanted a fine dining experience. They delivered. The drinks where just ok. My Mojito was super sweet, and my girls special 20 drink was good but not great. Then the appetizer came, it made up for the drink. Poached lobster burratta. The lobster was fresh and flavorful. The burratta was money. Creamy and perfectly salted. The peeled grape tomatoes and the pomegranate fresh and added an amazing combination of flavor. We both got the 8oz filet. The stuffed potato and the cream spinach. When you go to a steak house cream spinach is a must. The spinach was fresh, not to creamy but it was delicious. Not what I expected but none the less it was a lighter version. So the filet, absolutely a prime cut. Buttery to the cut, perfectly cooked not over or under seasoned. The sauces I got the house and the reduction. I’m giving this place a great review because of the food and overall service. The hostess told us we would be seated at 8:30 as per or res. And we where. So let’s talk about the not great. 1. Drinks. If I’m spending 20 per drink 1.5hr from NYC the drink better be banging. (Glenemere Mansion the drinks are amazing) for exp. 2. Explanation of food items. The creamed spinach was not creamed spinach. Ex. 3. Nickel and dime. 1. 4 for a side of sauce? Sorry not a good thing. 2. For what you are paying I’d expect a more first class experience IE Ruth Chris, Luger. Over all though it was still a great experience. Young staff. Dessert. Had some good choices but missing some of the classics such as creme brûlée, cheesecake and Bread pudding. Bread was ok. I expect better. Maybe do in-house but I live in Orange County and it’s by far the best food in the area..
The waiter was very attentive and friendly. For my wife and I that’s important.
Second time here, lighting so bright you could have worn your sunglasses inside, originally the staff wanted us in the outside room that looks like a cafeteria. I guess Scoot hasn’t been around for a while, he should be embarrassed.
Service is lacking even with a manager helping. Waited for empty water glasses to be filled numerous times.
Bathroom at 9PM hand no hand towels.
No dress code, as you can come as you are; maybe wear your best ball cap and the associated garb. Had a medium rare steak, it was well done 🤔
This is a steak restaurant, that should never happen. The special vegetable which we were told about at 730 was sold out by 745 PM!
I could keep going
Steak ,veal chop delicious. The shrimp cocktail delicious , the price. Out of control went way up $27.00 for 6 large shrimp.
We had delicious Meal, the wait staff was amazing.. food was hot and delicious and nicely presented..All around was great with the exception of the hostess she was not friendly and she must be having bad day, but not a reason to take it on a customer. We were group of 6 and we all enjoyed our meal.
Everything is outstanding - no complaints - we have dinner there often and never had an issue with anything. One of my favorite places to go!!
The food was excellent and friendly staff. Creamy spinach side best ever.
