Service was attentive. Ambiance was a bit too rustic for my taste. However the entryway with Hydrangeas and Star Jasmine in bloom was worth a photo or two. Food….not so great. Salmon had an off taste and was dry, half the entree was left. Chicken was very good and enjoyed. Asian Ribs were the worst ribs I have ever tasted. So chewy I couldn’t swallow. Most of the plate went uneaten. Would not return.

We were in Napa for BottleRock, and since we had one vegan diner we made the reservation far in advance. At the time I read reviews about how they accommodate well for restrictions, and called and confirmed that they do options for vegans. I then called again a few days before and the person I spoke to said there were multiple options, and I confirmed that it was noted on the reservation. When we were there it was a completely different experience. The service was bad and slow, but the guy had zero interest in accommodating the vegan diner. When asked what options there were, he said "Not much, just salads." When I pointed out my phone call, he said he would check with the chef. We barely saw him again. One of the appetizers someone else ordered was completely different than on the menu and once he brought and it was pointed out he said, "oh yes, we ran out of some things, I can take it back if you want." He could have mentioned that when we ordered but didn't. And then when he finally came to take our order, we had to prompt him on whether he asked the chef. He said, "yes, we can do a pasta." Which of course is what they ordered, it was average at best. The rest of our meals we would also describe as average. It took so long to get drinks, we were just happy to eat and get out of there at that point. Very disappointing experience, in an otherwise beautiful setting.

Michelin level dining without the keys!! Staff was extremely attentive but not overbearing. The food was amazing, my friend and I both had a truffle risotto. It was so creamy and the rice was cooked perfectly. Truffle flavor and aroma was not too overwhelming either! Crème brûlée was also great, perfect consistency with the bananas, and the brûlée added a nice texture. Super cute atmosphere too!! Everyone was so nice, which really elevated the entire experience. I will definitely keep coming back here! Thank you Celadon :)
