The food was delicious. We loved everything we tried. The atmosphere is great and we love that there is outdoor seating. Be prepared to have leftovers. The portions are large!
Loved it. Super fresh, tasty and plentiful. Service was impeccable, decor was very cool and atmospheric. Overall YES. Just go and eat!
Delicious food and great tasting
Nice neighborhood place
A real treat
We very much enjoyed this new Mediterranean restaurant. The environment is cozy and casual. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delivered promptly. My daughter is vegetarian and she thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian combo. Lots of vegetarian options on the menu. The Shish Tawook chicken was wonderfully seasoned and moist. The owner and chef came by the table at the end of the meal to add a personal touch and chat. Look forward to coming back.
We chose Cedar Palace because it was a reasonable walking distance from Steppenwolf. We were dining pre-theater, and the main restaurant was empty. We later discovered that the patio—which was full of happy locals— has a separate entrance on Orchard Street. The food was excellent: we had hummus, falafel, and two different kebabs, all delicious. The generous side dishes included the option of bulgar instead of rice, which we enjoyed. The chef/owner came out to chat with us—a welcoming touch. Cedar Palace is a neighborhood gem! Note: it is BYOB.
We loved our experience. Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. We will come back every time we visit Chicago. Wish you would come to Denver!
Delicious, authentic Mediterranean food. The owner/ chef Silvana always greets you like a family member! New outside patio is large and lovely!
What a fabulous dining experience! Silvana, the owner, gives highly personalized service to each and every guest. The food is delicious, made to order and fresh! This will be my go to spot!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Authentic cuisine and service. Will be back often.
Very nice menu. Featuring items that were very different and very delicious. The owner and cook was very
friendly and enthusiastic about the restaurant. We were 4 friends out to dinner and all of us enjoyed the food and the service. We all plan to return and to tell out friends about our great find.
This little Mediterranean restaurant is a jewel -- exceptional food, wide selection of entrees, salads and appetizers, excellent service, and, to top it off, moderately priced.
Food was excellent. Staff was friendly.
Great food, very friendly service. A welcome addition to the neighborhood!
Fantastic service!! Delicious food!
Great food, extremely friendly service and very large portions.
Great food and really nice people. Please try this neighborhood gem!
We had seen positive reviews for Cedar Palace and decided to make reservations for Fathers Day. We were exceptionally pleased with everything the restaurant had to offer. Service was attentive and gracious. Food was outstanding! We’re of Middle Eastern descent, so trust me, everything was excellent. Looking forward to visiting there again!
Great food. Great service. Great place to find awesome Middle Eastern food. Really fun. Not fancy at all, a little more than rustic, but they truly deliver on the food and service. Remember, it's BYOB!
Awesome food! Awesome service! The chef and owner came out to greet us and made us feel at home! Highly recommended!
Great food! Really enjoyed our time there and plan to attend again!
It was a great place, food was delicious and staff was very friendly. It was also BYOB which was cool. Would definitely go back!
Best Schwarma in the city. Great hummus. Can’t wait for outdoor patio to open. Great people and service. Love it!
Great Mediterranean food in a nice little restaurant in Lincoln Park. Loved the labneh and Shish Tawook.
Great neighborhood gem, worth the trip for BYOB even if you don't live close. Healthy, high-quality Mediterranean food--nice variety on the menu. Service is attentive and friendly. The restaurant is small and intimate, probably only sees about 30 total. It's a favorite.
We had soup, salad and two different chicken entrees - all were delicious. The place is in an old building and has a bit of a musty smell. Other than that everything was great. We will definitely go back again.
Wonderful food, wonderful staff.
Food is fast, fresh and has amazing flavor. The owner came out to greet us and made us feel like we were family. I love all the vegetarian options especially the dolma. The dolma are amazing and the yogurt dip is made in house. It is definitely a hidden gem in Lincoln Park. I cant wait until they open the patio.
Great new place! Everything we had was delicious - the falafels were hot and fresh, and the salad was fresh too (no limp lettuce or cucumber) - and my chicken shawarma was juicy and so well seasoned! My friend had the labneh and said it was really tasty! The owner came out to talk us and she was SO friendly and warm - service was excellent too!
We’ll definitely be back for more!
This place is great for BYOB because there is no cork fee. Also, the owner comes over to ask how your meal was. Service was wonderful and the food authentic.
Cozy place to eat! It was tasty, the food didn’t take long.
This place was right across the street from my old high school. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The shish tawook was delicious. It's byob. It was a little chilly and it had a bit of an basement-like odor, but it's definitely worth trying this place.
Hidden gem. Food was very authentic and Chef/Owner was very friendly and personable. The veggie platter Cozy atmosphere and BYOB is a plus. Highly recommend the side salad and vegetarian delight dinner plate.
Cedar Palace is a great gem in the Lincoln Park area. It's a great small BYOB that has some of the best Mediterranean food in Chicago and you will have a hard time finding a better value. Not to mention the added bonus of having Silvana come out and ask us how everything was and if she could make anything better. It has a local touch of care that is so hard to find. If you're looking for some great Mediterranean food, a welcoming atmosphere (date night or family) then you should look no further.
Thanks again Silvana for bringing Cedar Palace to the neighborhood. Cheers to many more years!
Wow! This place was fantastic. The food was authentic and delicious. The experience was personalized, the chef came out and spoke to our table. She told us that the recipes come from her grandparents in Lebanon. I will definitely be back. It was the best falafel I have ever had, the chicken shwarma was wonderful. Best Mediterranean in the Chicago land area. It is also byob.
Great service and delicious food.
Good food. It's a small place on Armitage. If you blink. you miss it. Chef/owner very nice.
Incredible food & extremely friendly staff. The owner even came out to our table to ask us how we were enjoying our meal. One of my favorite places to eat in Lincoln Park hands down!
Very friendly and attentive service, owner stopped by to say hello. The food was good but the portions were too big for my liking. Clean space, easy to be there.
I can’t speak highly enough about this place. It is a hidden gem in Lincoln park. The food is always super fresh and delicious. The service is excellent, and often the chef/owner comes out to chat and make sure everything is perfect. And the prices! Shockingly cheap for this neighborhood, especially in reflection of the quality. BYOB too as another bonus. I’m moving out of LP in a few weeks, and already know I’ll be driving back to visit often. They opening an adorable back patio for the summer. Can’t wait for that!!
